Most people prefer the Swedish version on this one. The English isn’t bad, but that Swedish version just hits another part of you.
And you can probably also see why the Swedish one is held in such high regard by military members, cause while the song is about a young man fighting in the 30 years war and his questions about home.
You can easily shift this song to fit any soldiers background and the questions he has about what will happen while he’s out in war and of his life back home.
