    Thanks Sophie, so true. I've found that eliminating refined sugar, oils, fried foods, processed foods, and refined wheat (I'm highly gluten intolerant, but still eat sprouted grain bread occasionally with no problem) has been the biggest game changer, weight coming off daily since giving those up. Intact grains are not the problem! Sprouted even better!

    Thank you for sharing this amazing info! I can’t sleep on low carb diet! And when I tried keto I was insomniac. It’s a horrible feeling being tired and wired.

    I recently found Oat Groats and am in love. I love the texture and my stomach always feels so relaxed and satisfied after I eat a bowl. I add some cooked lentils to the bowl too. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! So helpful.

    Sweet potatoes!!! My favorite way is "roasted" cubes in the airfryer. I have done in the oven too. That over a beautiful full and varied salad is so filling and yummy.

    Sophie, I love you and your content! I love, love, love the green paint color in your kitchen eating area! Will you share the paint color and brand with me? I am redcorating my bathroom, and that would be the perfect color! Thank you in advance!

      Debbie - I just do not remember the color of the paint. It was painted 10 years ago!!!

    Excellent. I've lost 23lbs so far following this style of eating. High carb, low fat, low calorie density, high nutrient dense foods. Got to love potatoes

    Thank you Sophie for a very informative video. I'm 72 and not really over weight but I'm looking for a healthier way of eating. I have never heard of oat groats. I will check them out and I have heard of farro but have never cooked it. I do think a recipe video on how to use some of these things you've mentioned would be great!

    I love fruits so much BUT I learned that our liver is our only organ able to metabolize fruit and it causes fatty liver ??? If that’s not true I will be so happy !!! 🍏 🍌 🍇 🍊

    Thank you! Great information! I recently started eating oat groats, I make a mini crockpot of them and have them handy all week for breakfast, the recipe from the How NOT to Diet cookbook. A great video idea would be if you showed meals with all of these things.

    Thank you for this video! I love fruit and eat it every day. I like sweet potatoes but sometimes feel like a white potato and actually ate one last night. I've heard that white potatoes can spike your blood sugar. Do you think that's true?

    • @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen
      @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes they can elevate your blood sugar a little. But if you eat them with a plant-based meal, you have tons of fiber to blunt that spike. Sweet potatoes are better, but a white potato once in a while won't hurt.
