Hello Schoolboy :) ,Respect to you, and im a long time fan of Big Red who was easily one of my favourite dogs / producers when I use to look through the Journals what feels like many years ago lol. We started with dogs from an older man who had dogs from D.Mayfield and B.Clouse and he had crossed them together. Percentages were very low, also at that time other pretty papered up dogs with spectacular pedigrees, not much success with them either tbh. Some time later I met a solid n true dogman who I proved enough of my hard work and dedication to so he asked me if I wanted to take a road trip to meet a fellow dogman. I was young and full of energy, I did not smoke or drink or use drugs, so conditioning and dedication to the dogs were my life and he saw that. Well we travelled down the NY way where I was introduced to some dogman but the main man to meet at that time was a fellow named the Mingman. We spoke for hours after a had a very good time that day, when I was leaving he called me back and handed me a leash and on the end of that leash was a 1 1/2 year old male. I didn’t ask how the dog was bred, I was too happy to get something from him. Later in time I did ask how the dog was bred and honestly the pedigree wasn’t impressive, but the dog was. I was more upset at that pedigree and I looked at it for many hours dailyand decided that the pedigree didn’t mater really, the dog also produced extremely well. As a matter of fact the dogs that made Gr Ch Bosco are in the pedigree still to this day. Sorry for the long story I just regret reading into pedigrees so much back them, I honestly think if I didn’t dwell so hard on them I woulda had even more success… I am not saying a pedigree is useless but I believe way too many people now a days especially read way too far into pedigrees and breaking down the percentages and bragging on the Ch and Gr Chs in the pedigree… I do understand to methods behind why a pedigree is important to active dogman because of the strength let’s say a Jeep bred dog brings along with thicker frames and than cross it with some Redboy stuff that’s known to be game and and complimenting each other. Just a lot of people spend a lot of useless time dwelling.. My two cents! Thanks schoolboy and keep up the good work
That is a great story and I appreciate your input. Big Red was my best producer and I sent him out your way and he proved himself out there to. I remember Ming Man and Bosco. You brought back some good memories. Much respect to you.
Your correct about Jeep, I never cared for it until, my deceased KP bred a litter that everything in it was a bulldog!! I always prefered the RBJ dogs and Loposay dogs up until then..
@@richardgarciaschoolboy7746 Yeah, my KP and I have been friends since grade school, over 50 years.. He just passed one week ago, those types of friends are irreplaceable!
Have you ever had any experience with Zebo dogs? Speaking of traits, a good producer is a dog that can replicate itself over and over. But,you know this better than me lol
A little bit. My friend had a half Zebo male that was a good 2xw and I saw a few in the great lakes area many years ago. A good producer does just that.
@@richardgarciaschoolboy7746 A guy said he had a Zebo dog ( little black dog with BIG head) and i didn't believe it, till he started playing with it and i heard the sound of it's jaws, every time he missed the rope you can hear just how strong his jaws were. It made this mechanical/ bony sound. Those traits still carry, it's amazing.
You can inbreed, linebreed and outcross all within the same family. That's how you build and retain family traits. When you inbreed you lock in the traits of individuals. Inbreed too much and you create physical and mental problems. Linebreeding allows you to continue longer with your family of dogs without too many negatives. Outcrossing allows you to bring in fresh blood and after you make an outcross you breed the offspring back into your family.
I appreciate the content an knowledge you bring to the table when it comes to the bulldog game content like this is well needed thank you, School boy

To see the traits and genes pass through time basically…. But yea it’s important both because the line reproduces itself.
Your the best M.r Garcia.

If professional fighters in humans only bred to fighters would the fighters become a different species??? 😅
They'd still be humans but different than regular humans.
Genetics really matter... It is what it is...
