    I have an interview for University next month, and knew a small amount about the Pauli Exclusion Principle (mainly being that electrons must have opposite spin).       i touch on these concepts briefly in previous clips, one has quantum mechanics in the title i believe, but they are very light. i will do a modern physics course in the next few months that will elaborate a bit more on these subjects.

    I spent my life driving forklift trucks and building warehouses until an accident left me with a disability, so at 50 years old I am trying to study again. I enrolled on an Open University chemistry course recently and it's going ok but the course notes are really for someone who has done an A level in the subject, so they are hard for me to understand. This video is very helpful to me and you explain it so logically and in comparatively simple terms. Thank you for taking the time to produce this. I subscribed.

    This is such a cool idea! I'm a chemistry prof in the US working on a similar approach on my channel. I like breaking down the concepts by videos, and giving an introduction to a topic (e.g., SN2 reactions) in 5 min or less!

    If n=7 then what are the values of l and M sub l.
    Would l=6 enable us to discover another orbitals rather than s, p, d, f?

      if n=7, then l could be anything between 0-6, but with the elements we know to exist, the only shells for n=6 and n=7 are the s and p orbitals. In theory, I think you can have g, h, j, etc. orbitals but that's pretty complex. wikipedia could probably tell u tho

    Dave is probably one of the best people on youtube. teaches a ton of topics for free in a way thats clearer than most teachers tell you, and somehow doesn't make it boring. unlike in person classes, you can pause to take in info at your own pace.       Strange coincidence! I'm italian and I'm 16 too and I'm watching this video because my science professor explains without saying more on this argument and I don't understand a single word when she speaks.
      This video explains clearly why these stuffs work in this way, and it's not just memorizing informations, but also understanding them.
      Sad to say, but you can often learn better on youtube than in schools.
