This concept is awesome! I want to see competition in this market. As an EGPU owner one device to rule them all sounds amazing. Specs are pretty nice too!
This form factor has been in my dreams in the past 3 years and now it's an reality finally. Too bad they went for the intel chip for this one, otherwise with an AMD APU I would've ordered it in a instant.
I mean all things considered it's a pretty cool device, I am really excited to see what these devices are going to look like in 10 years
It will wired into your brain
I think in the future it will be like in the animes, with a form of oculust.
You can fold it 10x and put it in your front pocket.
Huh? The future is now, old man
You're late to the party
Easily the best concept of handheld I have ever seen. Switching between console mode and laptop mode is amazing and I would absolutelty enjoy how universal it is. I just wish it had AMD APU variant. Price is not that bad too
Having the Intel Core Ultra + Arc is better. Slightly better GPU, better XeSS support, better encoding, better higher end performance scaling.
@@__aceofspades Wouldn't call GPU better. Performance scaling may be indeed better but it's supposed to be mobile device so power efficiency in my opinion is more valuable. Altrough i do agree with the rest
the question is who is more efficient, core ultra or AMD? For better battery life / less heat and noise
@@_Digitalguylegion go on palworld running 800p with integer scaling to fake double that resolution basically and im getting averages of 50 fps or so lol, stays around 63-67 degrees max usually with rare highs of 72 and running it with low shadow, med effects, epic on the rest. Ay it runs pretty well tho and other games like that one he was running I believe forza 5 gets around the same fps easily at the same low to medium. Battery life im assuming is gonna be around the same with their 11 inch screen needing more power the battery will prob be the same if not an extra 10 mins im guesssssing.
@@__aceofspadesIf you want a better performance ignoring power consumption go for a laptop instead. Low power consumption is the selling point of handhelds. Take that away and handheld is just a PC from 2015 and runs for 1hr tops. Intel is way behind on power consumption
It's a gaming surface go!
I'm all for it.
I suggest to buy a rog z13 acronym version , better and multifunctional .
@@emerald85 I will have to look into that
@@emerald85 Unfortunately that's missing the key aspect of the Onexplayer X1, the attachable controllers, right?
@@qgauvrit for that case I guess just grab a normal controller .
@@qgauvrit Good luck holding the oneplayerx x1 for more than an hour.
Looks like perfect balance for most situation. Handheld, tablet, laptop, workstation with external monitor and lastly true gaming machine with egpu.
yeah i just wish the keyboard had hinges so it could support the screen so you could actually use it on your lap like a laptop
if only intel switched to 3nm
As the owner of a OneXPlayer One Netbook 5, their latest 10" laptop model, I can say from experience that this company makes surprisingly good small form factor products. The small laptop I own has the same screen and it's fantastic, way better than I expected. Performance is also great, and it has a 12th gen Intel CPU and no GPU. One area this manufacturer could improve is the thermal performance, as both their previous gen tablets and my laptop do run a little warm to the touch, but it's more of a quibble than a real problem. In general, these guys make good products.
how about fan noise?
@@_Digitalguy It's not the most quiet laptop I've ever had, but it's not too bad. It's a single fan that has to work very hard, so I wouldn't recommend playing games on it. For work and casual use it's very decent.
This actually looks really compelling with the bigger 11” screen and keyboard, looks like it’d be a great option to take to school and game in between classes

was thinking the same, i take my 3070ti laptop to school but its big and heavy, was thinking a surface pro but this is wayyyy better. About to back it rn.
@@Cerealkiller824 There are a few slim "gaming" laptops out there, but they can get pretty expensive.
I think the industry is on the cusp of making the perfect hybrid handheld. A key wish list I'm looking for:
7-8 inch screen
Removable joy-con controllers similar to the legion go
Better thermals
Dedicated docking station with egpu support with Thunderbolt 5
Responsive UI that adapts to mobile and docking seamlessly -- super important
I think Free Sync is required also. 30-60 fps is perfectly fine with that, and you’re gonna run a lot of games at that frame rate.
and a handled version of windows
@@patrickcarter1820 good point!
If the Legion Go had better speakers and VRR it'd be a no Brainer for me. It was so close to being perfect imho.
They’re getting close to making low/mid tier GPUs obsolete. I think it’s why GPU’s have been so crap in price recently, besides crypto and AI. They’ve got to make up that loss somewhere.
I was one second away from funding this one, but I KNEW that you'd have one and make a video about it. Thanks, Prime!
Cool story bro
I preordered the Core Ultra 7 2tb 32gb version, just last year I was thinking how quickly I would buy a more powerful version of my surface go 3. This device is literally like 8x faster. The game controller on the side is just a bonus, should be nice for emulation! I love how nowadays one device can be everything you need:) I wanna pair up a 4070 Super with that Oculink port, should make for a nice dock!!
There's this software that can allow you to play any games that support gamepad without gamepad.
But just on screen virtual gamepad, and touch.
Kinda useless advice, as you're getting a controller with it.
Just wanted to share.
@@yasirrakhurrafat1142. That is definitely the way forward
ETA I appreciate your consistent work and dedication on this stuff. I would ABSOLUTELY love if you could start showing off “The Finals” on these videos since It can give us fps gamers a real world expectation
Yea The Finals is pretty demanding on the CPU so it would be a good test for these new APUs
The practicality is there for sure, seems so versatile. Although it is large to carry around but negligible due to shape. It's a different device for sure and it doesn't sell me but it is intriguing with the option to slap on external graphics.
I'll hold out for the ONEXPLAYER X1 2
Onexplayer 2 pro is the best handheld out here and it's good to see the company continue to release new products

A computer that can be a handheld gaming device, a tablet, and a laptop is pretty damn cool.
This is a pretty cool form factor for a gaming handheld. Full on Surface Pro with attachable controllers
This concept is easily the most excited I've been for any device ever.
Surface pro type device with handheld capabilities and and oculink port for more intense or home tv gaming. I already have an rog ally but I really really really hope this type of device flourishes for when I upgrade from the ally in the next few years.
word for word dude! im excited to upgrade to this concept as well in the next coming years. looks very promising!
Same, it's a really cool concept. If this was built/sold by a bigger brand like Asus I'd be tempted to go for it.
A great looking premium device, but still some improvements needed for future iterations:
- Built in kick stand
- bigger keyboard trackpad
- Microsoft Pen Protocol support or if there is a better universal standard.
- 1 USB-C port placement either bottom left or right if being used as a laptop
- thinner profile (remove USB-A if need be)
- controllers with trackpads + additional buttons (perhaps 4 x shoulder buttons, 4 x nub buttons)
- controller connector to also support Bluetooth
- LTE model (for the most expensive skus if need be)
This handheld looks so good to me! Very keen on the oculink stuff with both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards installed
This where a foldable design would be cool , portable folded form factor that can be opened out to a much bigger screen to game and relax
how you gon fold intel cpu lmao
@@kartikpintu CPUs are pretty small it need not be on the foldable part of the screen or the circuit board
At the price I jumped at the 72 hour backer special with the i7 with 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD. Can't beat it at that price.
You don't even know what it'll do yet. Laptops with the 155h vs 7840u(z1extreme) trade blows with the year old AMD chip. AND that's at 30w tdp on amd and 65w TDP on the 155H.
That wallpaper tho... I need it

thnx for the reply, but I can't seem to find the one with the boat and the stone fingers :/@@samleslie8457
I would like a form factor like this but with an NVidia 4060 or 4070 mobile in it. Battery life would be terrible, but if you plugged it into the wall with a long enough cord, you could use it in console mode with attachable controllers and be able to play it like a portable system. I'm thinking the Asus Z13 like device but under 11 inches (9-11) with controller attachments. Maybe this would perform the like that with an external GPU.
Agreed!! I only video game at home, but I like being able to go from room to room. I already do this with my gaming laptop, each room has an outlet I use and it works. A handheld like this would be so much easier than moving a laptop and stand from room to room.
What a fantastic AIO device this is, your mini laptop, your gaming machine on the go, your gaming machine at home, ticks all the boxes (almost). I only wish these CPUs were coming with PCIe 5.0 lanes... OcUlink over PCIe 5.0 will be the sweet spot
Woah! At 7:25 right after the rocket fires theres a pop sound. Listen to this with headphones on and it sounds like it's coming from your room, to the front right of you a few feet away.
glad that intel is doing something. i want to see what the new laptops can do with a budget of 500$ and a new core 5. hope for a good competition with amd ,because at those 3 years intel wasn't very nice to have in a laptop
Great video, Could you review the sgwzone rtx 4060 egpu please?
Bro this is getting ridiculous. By this point you might as well buy a laptop or pc or tablet
It is. I've seen a select few say that the legion go isn't big enough and it needs to have a much bigger screen. People want these handhelds to turn into laptops without the keyboard attached
@@guramguram6706 you just described the product people want a small gaming laptop you got this people want a portable pc you got this people want to bring their console with them everywhere you got this
This thing looks really cool. I don't recall you mentioning the weight of the device when it's in hand with controllers attached, how did it feel compared to other handhelds?
I would love to see Elden Ring performance on this device, especially on the cheaper lower end chip. Currently, I game on consoles, but I'm getting quiet jealous of all the pc mods for ER (convergence, Garden of eyes etc).
That is one chunky boi, and I suspect it's going to be quite hefty to use as a handheld.I do like the modular nature of the design. It would be even cooler if the screen was modular too. For example, some people might want to switch in to a smaller screen for better portability.
I've read it's 789g, I assume without the controllers.
I could see something like this replacing my Ally and laptop to be my all in one device.
Same here!
Imagine how cool kids think this device is. Imagine giving this for Junior High student. They going to absolutely love it. Work as laptop in the class, and work as a cool gaming device at break.
Just when i decided to get the legion go this comes out and brings the features i miss on the Legion. But idk, how is software support and warranty for One X Devices?
Same here. I'm lost
Bit of a pain. They do eventually reply to emails, but you'll be hit with import fees AND it'll be a pain to send it back if there's an issue. (I returned my Onexplayer 2, due to the SD card not staying in the slot).
@@beckinbinderin Okay i think thats a nogo for me.
I was thinking about replacing both my budget "gaming" pc and my laptop with the Onexplayer. That way i would have an all in one device: laptop for work and handheld for gaming.
But i can't afford to wait months for little things like a broken power button, since i'll have no backup device then.
I think i'll stick with a laptop and a legion go then
This thing looks right up my alley!
This, but with a 16inch screen and a dedicated graphic card is all I dreamed for in the last 5 years.
No one seems to deliver it tho.
I know it wouldn't be soo easly portable, but almost everywhere you can find a place to place a screen and it would work just fine as your main PC with a very clear desk.
Let's keep hoping.
Hey bud, we've had those for a while now. They're called laptops. You should check them out.
@@Sdw2100 not with all the hardware behind the screen and with a detachable keyboard, aka a high end tablet
Just get a laptop. Plenty of great laptops on the market for you. Also you cannot put all the hardware behind the screen. It would be too hot and the fans would be too loud.
@pedgarage that's fair, although the bigger these get, the more blurred the line is between these and just a laptop.
@@crestofhonor2349 pretty sure that the hot air would escape from the top and not be blocked from the keyboard so it would cool even better. I don't like the form factor of the laptops, I prefer to have the screen and the keyboard at 2 different distances and not be forced to have them binded togheter.
Nothing on the market like this with a powerful enough hardware, a battery and a 16" screen.
Hoping they continue this form factor with TB5 and AMD chipset later this year or early next year. 😊
Nice video as always. Very informative.
THIS is what the next step in Flow Z13 evolution should be! Hope ASUS and other big players on the market take a look on this one!
yeah! sad that my keyboard cover doesn't work when propped up and magnetized
They are trying to beat the MSI claw to the punch. Lets be real the claw's main selling point is the fact its intel its unique.
This however has some interesting features
This looks epic! As someone who can't make up their mind between the Rog ally and legion go, this is a very interesting device that ticks all the right boxes for me. I believe it's already been mentioned but if you could do some comparisons between maybe the steam deck and either the ally/go for some of the big AAA titles the deck struggles with. Act 3 of bg3 would also be interesting to see! Thanks 👍
I have the Legion Go. It was the best choice on what was available at the time. While Legion Go is a great choice, this device looks amazing, I would wait for reviews.
@@PCProphecy it'll be interesting to see the quality of the controllers and how secure they are when connected to the "tablet" compared to the legion go.
@ianreagan-kerr7698 A few things to think about, controller connectivity, controller quality, battery life, heating, and the fact that the device seems to be more of a mini laptop, instead of a portable handheld device. That device will be released in March 2024, and the question always rises... will the first batch receive a recall. With all these things considered, do you want a mini laptop or handheld device.
@@PCProphecy hopefully these items and more will be covered in the next video.

He will up talk all the presented devices to continue receiving more products for reviews. Overall, I've had my Legion Go since 1-2 weeks after it released. I don't have any regrets. It's a great device that packs a punch in almost every aspect (the only exception is the speaker audio quality). Good luck!
