Trimming shrubs - ECHO SHC-225 trimmer

- The bushes need pruning. These shrubs are blocking the view out the front window, so we're going to trim the hedges into balls with an ECHO hedge trimmer so that the customer can have a better view and curb appeal. Blades of Grass Lawn care

Well, they are not all round, one is almost perfectly flat.. What I do is pick the smallest one, and match all the others to it, so they are then all the same size and round..

I have found that putting my trimmer on the trailer-wheel fender works good for topping off the fuel.

How do you charge when doing shrubs? Do you charge by the bush, by the job, or is it already included in the regular job?
I charge by time. How much do you make mowing by the hour? I use the same concept

I love the videos, I've learned a lot. how come you never show how to get the clippings cleaned up? especially over mulch
We lightly blow the clippings and turn the old mulch to hide the small clippings
One of your videos you had Stihl oil (orange) and the Red Armor pre mix. What kind of oil do you prefer considering cost vs performance and reliability of your equipment?
Do you have any good tips or vids for trimming around siding and windows? I usually do pretty good with that but sometimes I end up busting out the clippers lol. I also worry about trimming too close the the house/building because I don't want to damage my trimmers. ESPECIALLY when it's brick! Bleh

All our work is priced by time. We average $110 per two man-hours. That means that each man is averaging $55 per hour so if it takes you one hour, then charge $55 for the job, hope this helps.

believe it or not, I'm not worried about that. My plans are to eventually invest in his startup and sell my business to him or someone else.

Question or suggestion, I have those hedges on one of my properties, the customer has lava rocks in the plant bed .. After blowing and trying to clean up the debris, the lava rocks which are light, are all over the yard..Now the hedge job takes longer with the debris and rocks in the grass...Any suggestions? Someone mentioned placing a tarp down, what do you guys do?
@@mattox316 yeah man chuck a tarp down, cits down on clean up alot, time to setup but saves time at the end and leaves a nice clean finish

Echo cuz stihl after a while u gotta pull on em a lot to get em to start but that's just my experience

Wow, lol I really undercharge myself. I always struggled with bush pricing.
I charge by the man hour, not by the bush, shrub or hedges.
