Fkn hell!!!! Ive seen this concert like million times but it always gives me goosebumps. Gojira is by far one of the best metal band of the last decades. They just get better by putting out new albums and outdoing themselves. Gojira is a passion!
Watching this makes me sad because no matter what I do with my life I know I'll never be a part of such musical genius as gojira and other bands of this caliber. I'm grateful for their music and look forward to their future endeavors. God bless.
You know, watching that headbanging at the beginning, the music so tight, I thought the same thing for a moment. I was like holy shit, now that is how it's done. And I don't know how to do it...

These dudes were awesome even 15 years ago. Mario is a bad ass; playin' drums like a boss, BOOM lml. I wonder what the lead singers vocal range is? This is the most authentic Gojira song I've heard so far. I don't understand why this band has never won a Grammy.
Don't think Joe has a crazy vocal range since it's possible to go way lower and higher screaming, but it's still probably about two octaves of clean singing and maybe another octave if we count screams.
@@gudalpesanz I'm not saying he's not fantastic, but what I'm saying is he isn't like Mike patton or Freddie mercury with insane vocal range but what he has he uses insanely well.
@@demonguysayshi2666 I'm not saying he's Geoff Tate, Bruce Dickinson or Ronnie James Dio. I'm saying he's an amazing vocalist and he's one of my favorite singers now.
@@gudalpesanz I agree with him being a fantastic vocalist, he's also very unique in terms of his vocal style on later albums which I love. Why are we even having this pseudo argument when we are both saying exactly the same thing?
As a kid, i used to listen to my big brothers massive stereo back in the 90s going full volume with Cannibal Corpse blazing out, the door was trembling and i fucking hated it, until i grew older and got a taste for it and now i can barely listen to anything else, love to analyze and read the lyrics, it makes the song even stronger, love to listen to metal with him and now we are going together to metal festivals throughout Europe and it has brought us close together........This song brings me right back to the now happy and very unique memories i had in the childhood, maybe its because my big brother looked like joseph with long black hair and was really living the teenage metalhood........ thank you thank you and thank you !
Considering this was around 2006 & Pantera's Dimenag Darrell was murdered on stage in 2004, it's crazy to see people jumping on stage because that was normal, especially in the punk and metal scenes.
I feel sad of being born in 2006, because if I had born in 1985 or some years before, I could probably go on this amazing concert. In my opinion this is the best concert they made in their entire career, just by watching these videos.
0:45 holy shit, look at mario casually scratching his face while playing the fastest gojira song. He used to be fucking insane. He was so used to playing all the death metal songs they played live back then like its nothing :D
@@Comic3665 I didnt say he wasnt...? He said himself in interviews that playing these older songs is harder for him now, due to age, which makes sense, and that theres no need in the first place since they dont play most songs from the link or terra live anyways.
Yeah man, I came all the way from Memphis to see their show in Chicago. It was awesome! Joe gave me a lot of his picks and his water bottle :) BEST SHOW EVER!

I just realised. They used to let people up on stage. That's metal
Cristian Popa they let us up on stage in Biarritz, 27th of June in 2018 and they gave us boards to crowd surf. :D
I don’t even think you’re aloud up on stage anymore cause the band will like kill you or something
@Chris Collins thats people, not everyone is going to kill, some just want to have fun
@Chris Collins Yeah they let Canadians & Frenchmen on stage, not us Americans LOL

So powerful. They even summoned Jonathan Davis at 4:07
Best comment I've ever seen.
HOLY SHIT MAN! xD hahahahah
LMAO that guys moshing/head banging has always made me piss myself, looks like his right arm is broken lol.
You mean the Jonathan Davis of the 90s, so many pounds before Jonathan Davis ate Jonathan Davis
FUCK XD
1:59 even the cameraman headbangs!
I'm 50. Metal for me started with Parasite, Kiss. Gojira IS the best.
I'm 48. I just started listening to Meshuggah and these guys.
gudalpesanz thats awesome

Shame they never play this live anymore...........
+Krantz81MetalForever looks hard as fuck haha but I would donate a kidney to see they playing it
+Krantz81MetalForever Do You know why they don't play?
+Aidaho why?
Ryan Thomas Have You seen them playing this song in the last few years? Last footage on YT is from 2006.
This is gojira's fastest song bass pedal wise, might have something to do with that, or maybe not.
This was in 2003, but after what happened to Dimebag Darrell letting people on stage has been pretty rare.

lol he just scratches it on the downbeat! If anything, it's like an imaginary cymbal accent.
ahahaha
didnt noticed that...scratching nose like a boss!!

I sit on a rock
Cannot be touched by struggle & confusion
I reclaim my space inside my structure
Look at this point
All is about nothing, everything comes near
The remotest parts of the world
By silence
We can dissolve disruptive vibrations
I have to try
Gaia's alive for good
Under my feet the forest
Over me the largest
It's roundness I feel
Lifelong misery
How do we get to Avalon?
There is a bridge beyond
Indestructible the earth is a temple
I cannot see what is wrong and
All gods are one
I close my eyes
I'm all around, I feel so present
Embracing it's vastness I hold
Facing the world
I become a part of it
I'm not alone anymore
I embrace the world
1:36 that random bump of the guitar really made this moment 100 times more metal
the bassist makes the whole show for me...when i saw them live...he was like a freakin animal onstage
1:45
More chug than the Little Engine that Could.
Love how relaxed Mario is with his drumming. He's like Tomas Haake's younger brother
This shit is too heavy. Mario, the drummer, isn't human. Hell, neither is the singer, Joe.
How can it be too heavy? It's feeling more brutal when live, I must say xD (Seen them for the first time @ Fortarock 2014)
It was meant as a compliment.
