Sims 3 + Seasons + Pets + Generations + Ambitions = better than Sims 4 could ever be as a life simulator game. You don't even have to get all the expansions, to have a complete and satisfying experience with the Sims 3.
So let me get this straight. Sims 3 Ambitions = Eco Lifestyle + Laundry Day Stuff + Get to Work (x2)? Ahhhh lazy game reviews has become less lazy than EA.
Man, it's so ironic that this expansion had way more ecological stuff in it than the sims 4 stuff pack that was supposed to be dedicated to eco living.
I have to laugh I really do believe at some point knowing how greedy ea is, they are going to be like fuck this no one likes the sims 4 and start making sims 3 expansions and I will be very, very, very, very, Happy!
@thpar1256 Thanks for the approval! It's pretty simple, once you think about the term 'expansion'. It's going to *expand* the game that's already there! That means things like new jobs, things to do, experiences to... experience. It just adds more things to do, places to go, sims to meet. And Stuff Packs are simply packs of stuff. Beds, cars, TVs, clutter. Stuff stuff stuff. Hope that helps, and enjoy simming!
It's a secret/hidden skill, just like styling, bubble blowing, scouting, sandcastle building, etc. The more they do it the better they get, but it's not listed amongst the normal skills.
My Simbot got shorted out so I reprogrammed him with Eco Friendly Trait, Technophobe, and Vegetarian. But now he's miserable all the time :(. He can't go anywhere without using "resources", he gets sick from eating both vegetables and scrap, and he can't do anything without "using technology". He's really only happy when getting shocked by the telly, though I think he also actually enjoys smashing all those laptops.
I watched this for the pure nostalgia. I remember getting the sims 3 and later ambitions when it came out and I loved playing it so much. The firefighter career and collecting scrap metal and inventing were my favorite.
@Jenn2790 The wind turbines come with the free Eco Pack download, there's a link in this video's description. Hot tubs come with the Late Night expansion, so you'll have to buy that to get them.
All in one and for way less money. the sims 3 might’ve been a poorly optimised mess, but at least EA was willing to give us kids of content in one instead of forcing people to pay top dollar for a quarter of the content
With Sims 4 seeming lackluster, I'm reinstalling Sims 3 and all the expansions. Since for some reason they weren't already on this computer for reasons I guess O.o
Don’t blame you! I have 4 with loads of mods like basemental and wicked whims to add realism plus loads of hairs skins etc wish sims 3 had a basemental type mod but honestly there’s so much to do that I barely miss it!
The sims 4 has been in development for 7 years and is still lacking features from its predecessor. A lacklustre ability to create a personal style, a closed world with grossly long loading screens in between every tiny action, cash grabs in the form of ‘kits’, no cars, an even larger lack of open lots, no proper supernatural, no proper vacation pack, a buggy university. In 7 years you would hope it would at least catch up. The difference is I could play the sims 3 with no expansions for hours and not fall asleep. Sims 4 has me snoozing on my laptop more often that I’d like because you run out of things to do, and every sim feels like a carbon copy of the last 40.
All I want for Christmas is: The Sims 3 and these expansion packs: Pets, supernatural, seasons, university life, late night, generations and ambitions.. Don't forgot a new laptop!
sims 3 and its expansion packs came out 10+ years ago and they're still all better than sims 4. I never needed mods to have fun on sims 3 (I literally just had cc) and I have about 5 for sims 4 + cc
@TheNsanePvper Thanks! And sadly, ya gotta move them to go to other towns, at least at this precise moment in time. I'm really hoping they add the ability to visit towns eventually.
I had the washer and dryer part way before I had Ambitions. But that's because I got Town Life stuff I guess.. Tip, just don't put a hamper or machine in your house and you won't have to deal with it.
I only subscribed to you a few months ago, but lo and behold, I was going through my favorites, and this is one of the first videos left in my list. I must have Favorited it when the sims 3 ambitions came out.
I highly recommend it. Ambitions and Late night are the two must have packs but I also highly recommend looking into seasons, showtime and ambitions then if your really enjoying it grab some of the massive much wilder expansions like supernatural, into the future, island paradise and some of the other packs. Avoid stuff packs they are sort of a waste of money since they only add objects in most cases without unique interactions.

@@mi1kguts I made a scarastic joke post back 2012 about what a theorectical Sims 4 would look like, and got it 99% right. The ONLY thing they actually planned but didn't put in, was the always online forced multiplayer, and only because Simcity (2013) got hit with such backlash that they completely scrapped and remade the game in 1 year.
Recently bought Generations, World Adventures, Ambitions because I was dirt poor as a kid and couldn't afford them, and oh my GOD the amount of content is ridiculous. I've been a Sims 4 player since the day of launch and though I've dabbled in playing Sims 3 casually, I couldn't seem to sacrifice the graphics of 4 for the gameplay of 3 (crazy, I know). I've been getting sick of Sims 4 for about a year and a half now, seeing how many cashgrabs they've put out, and the amount of them that I've bought because I've been hoping that they'll prove they can still provide good content. After the Paranormal Stuff announcement, I decided enough was enough and I've now reinstalled Sims 2 to go along with Sims 3. Sims 3 was the game I grew up with, so it felt really nostalgiac to go back to it and experience the magic all over again, and with the awesome default replacements I've got to update the look of things, I'm hooked. Safe to say that unless Sims 4 fixes their shit, I'll be staying with the earlier titles, and I'm completely okay with that :)
I think they should make a new sims 4 expansion where you get more active careers and one of them should be a ghost capturer where you get to go to people’s houses and investigate paranormal activity, some ghost you find will be friendly and you can easily convince them to leave the house and some will be angry and will not want to leave and will constantly break stuff. And when your not on location you will be in your office and it will be sorta like the deceive caree
Just downloaded Sims 3 again and realized Sims 4 is waaaaaay far behind. :( I’m a builder but Sims 3 made me want to play the game without cheats and work my Sims to succeed. :((((( I regret buying Sims 4 plus EPs...
I love this expansion, I use it a lot. And I'm glad that you don't get laundry if you don't buy a washer. I use my lifetime rewards to get rid of micromanaging, I don't want to add more. But I understand that they used laundry in a game that simulates life.
As I'm watching these reviews, a lot of the stuff that was new to the expansions back then, a lot of the stuff is included in the base game. Does this mean that EA has realized the error of their flaws and finds smaller things more simple and decided to add them to the base game for free? I do hope so!!!
More or less. As stated in the video descriptions of these reviews, some of the smaller features were included in free patches released for the base game around the time the expansion launched.
I want to get a new laptop so I can actually play the sims 3 and not wait forever, any suggestions on what is the most important aspect of a new laptop in order for the game to go really super fast? I am pretty sure I am going to get an HP with i7 core, so what else would be important? Thanks!

And paranormal gamepack
@@evansdmitri2161 and that new designer one

Yup is 8 years old is so old and we still watch it 😊

Damn 8 years
Damn. 9 years ago.
Am I the only one who doesn’t remember solar panels and wind turbines being added?
Nope, I've had this expansion for like a year and I didn't even know this
Yup good old Sims 3 with new things every day, even to this day.
Mandela Effect!? lol
they may be rabbit wholes but at least u know where they go, they dont just disappear
5:07 "Jhon what are you doing?"
"i'm a bush Clara, go away"
"it has been one week Jhon, your wife is worried"
Oh Sims 3. With bush people and lady's who find bush people.
Man, it's so ironic that this expansion had way more ecological stuff in it than the sims 4 stuff pack that was supposed to be dedicated to eco living.
I don't get it. It has twice as much content in it then the sims 4 will ever have
Yes. And those actually don't come with this expansion, they're part of the free Eco Pack download (linked to in the video description).
I have to laugh I really do believe at some point knowing how greedy ea is, they are going to be like fuck this no one likes the sims 4 and start making sims 3 expansions and I will be very, very, very, very, Happy!
never gonna happen. the sims 4 is a fantastic game. and get to work? best expansion pack ever made!
^ "best pack ever made" Did you even play the sims 3 seasons?
Le Leedler i liek ts4
Tried launching sims 4 and it ruined my computer (laggy, crashing etc) so I look at sims 4 and think it looks terrible lol
caityrayne Meh... MiNE looks like a potato but doesn't run like it.
@thpar1256 Thanks for the approval!
Glad you're enjoying, and hope that your PC access improves so you can blow some Sim-stuff up!
At least the Sims 3 HAS a color wheel!
Me, a person who has only ever played TS4 realizing TS3 packs offer so much more than TS4 could ever offer us: Whaaaaa?
I used to spend so much time visiting all of my filthy rich neighbours and blowing up their cars... Time well spent, I say!
😆😆😆 I’m definitely gonna try that !
Oye. Finally got to the point where I thought TS4 was catching up, but then I watched this. Sike!
He sounds so much happier in these compared to Sims 4 reviews :( Capitalism at its finest.
So basically The Sims 3 Ambitious is The Sims 4 Get to work, Laundry stuff and Eco Living all in one
This is just ridiculous
this expansion pack is just: get to work, eco lifestyle, laundry stuff, paranormal, and dream home decorator o-O
All in one and for way less money. the sims 3 might’ve been a poorly optimised mess, but at least EA was willing to give us kids of content in one instead of forcing people to pay top dollar for a quarter of the content
Ambitions is definitely my favorite expansion pack.
definetly better than the sims 4 get to work expasion
With Sims 4 seeming lackluster, I'm reinstalling Sims 3 and all the expansions. Since for some reason they weren't already on this computer for reasons I guess O.o
Get To Work + Laundry Day + Eco Lifestyle + literally 100 other things the Sims 4 could only DREAM of having all in one pack 😭
Sims 4 is just a bloody moneymaker for EA!!
So sims 3 has eco life get to work(with even more jobs) and more in a single expansion pack that use to cost 40 but now costs on average 20
Yep I’m going back to sims 3
Don’t blame you! I have 4 with loads of mods like basemental and wicked whims to add realism plus loads of hairs skins etc wish sims 3 had a basemental type mod but honestly there’s so much to do that I barely miss it!
Funny seeing people criticize ts3 for having so much expansion packs way back when and now ts4 has 39 expansion packs
and ts3 was actually enjoyable without expansion packs, now u can get bored of ts4 in an hour without packs
I’ll always prefer Sims 3.
All I want for Christmas is: The Sims 3 and these expansion packs: Pets, supernatural, seasons, university life, late night, generations and ambitions.. Don't forgot a new laptop!
I have all of those but ambitious
I am getting university life and supernatural tommeow
This is the first time I heard CLINT! use the words '40 Dollar' and 'worth it' in one sentence. Also love the Sims 1 background music.
The dude's name is FREAKING?!
"Just stick it in your pocket, it'll fit." LOL xD
sims 3 and its expansion packs came out 10+ years ago and they're still all better than sims 4. I never needed mods to have fun on sims 3 (I literally just had cc) and I have about 5 for sims 4 + cc
The Sims 3 Ambitions = The Sims 4 Get to work, The Sims 4 Laundry Stuff and The Sims 4 Paranormal stuff ….
@TheNsanePvper Thanks!
I have that too cuz of university life expansion and I dont have town life stuff
Haha i wanted a hamper because i wanted a more realistic life xD i got a hamper from the sims 3 store but i forgot to buy a washer lol XD
Everytime I see this old opening of yours... I really want to drink some cola xD
im installing sims 3 ambitions now and IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED

Looking at a Sims 3 expansion compared to a Sims 4 one should be _mortifying_ for EA.
I only subscribed to you a few months ago, but lo and behold, I was going through my favorites, and this is one of the first videos left in my list. I must have Favorited it when the sims 3 ambitions came out.
I absolutely love the idea of a stylist that shaves people's heads and send them off with a full tiger face. lol
Im truly considering getting the sims 3 and a pack or two next month instead of spending it on halfassed sims 4
Captain SebT I would so freaking love to but ju computers processor is too low so i dont think it would work.
@@kitkatherine23 the game only requires a p4 if you have an intel i5 or even an i3 it should be able to run the game better than their minimum specs for the game.
@@captainsebt what is a p4? I have intel i.5 core and a kinda low end graphics card gt730 but it looks good on sims 3 I have plenty of ram 12 g b and about 1tb left of space -how many expansions could I possibly have ? Another question does sims 3 fry your gpu/ card? I’ve heard horror stories lol 🤔 I know it’s laggy and buggy for many but I have NRAAS error trap and it helps!
@@desertrose1226 you should be well over spec and can install every expansion and stuff pack if you really wanted. The game can lag especially island paradise but I never heard of the game (or any game) frying any part of your computer.
And a p4 is a old processor you would see or ever get close to in a modern computer even a cheap one. It's highly out of date.
"Hooray for Sadism"
To have this in TS4 you'll need... Get To Work, Eco Lifestyle, Laundry Day... I hate EA!
And paranormal stuff and dream home decorator
and university, for the servo. so another $40 for the robot lmaoo fuck EA
@@friednoodles666 Yeah… EA is trying to get to a 100 DLC milestone 😪 they created the term DLC back in the early 2000s for the Sims 1 and now it’s just widely accepted most games will have DLC…
I'm SO happy about you keeping to the music from the original sims game in your reviews. It really is the best.
Why?
Because The Sims 1 music ia the best. We can all agree, and if you can't, then someone farted in your ears.
8:54 this little feature included in this pack made a 40 dollar expansion pack in the sims 4
That's my favorite expansion pack,i use almost everything,i love the careers and the neighborhood, some will recommend me the generations pack,i like too,but depends my mood in the day.
Well.. I guess some rabbit holes are okay 'cause I don't need to see my sim go groceries shoppin' while it would take up more RAM etc. x3
And maaaan expansions used to be so cool
Sims 4 could never
been watching alot of sims 3 videos lately and what ive come to relaixe is. sims 3 is sims 4 and sims 4 was a storefront cash grab that promised to be everything the sims 3 already was
LMFAO at the intro. It's 10 years old, and somehow awesomely retro.
This intro is so classy. lmao I can't believe you don't still use something like this, LGR, I love it. XD
the sims 4 P.I pack... the sims 4 Firefighter pack... the sims 4 Ghost Hunter pack.... lol im pretty sure they will seperate it
The ghosts on 4 suck!!
they literally made a ghost hunter pack,,,,are u psychic
And when your not on location you will be in your office and it will be sorta like the deceive caree
they made it. But it's ONLY the ghost hunter.
Earthquakes happened often when I was a firefighter, the whole screen shakes as the world shakes it’s my favorite part of ambitions
Thanks! I appreciate it :) I will check it out when I order, still saving and checking out different laptops :)
So ever get into sims 3 lol?
As I'm watching these reviews, a lot of the stuff that was new to the expansions back then, a lot of the stuff is included in the base game. Does this mean that EA has realized the error of their flaws and finds smaller things more simple and decided to add them to the base game for free? I do hope so!!!
More or less. As stated in the video descriptions of these reviews, some of the smaller features were included in free patches released for the base game around the time the expansion launched.
"privately" *woman is standing right there* LOOOOOOL
That part made me bust out laughing. She was looking like “what the hell is this idiot doing”
I want to get a new laptop so I can actually play the sims 3 and not wait forever, any suggestions on what is the most important aspect of a new laptop in order for the game to go really super fast? I am pretty sure I am going to get an HP with i7 core, so what else would be important? Thanks!
A little late but any progress?
