And they finally are gonna remove culling making it possible to do a legacy without mods... in next patch to eventually come out. Though by removed culling I mean set sim pop to unlimited.... because making culling a on or off option is too hard. Dunno when patch will even be out.

Never got the chance to talk to her and I didn't watch many of her videos, but her influence on the community was unavoidable. Her death was shocking and sad to myself and many of my producer friends, and I hope her family is doing as well as possible under the circumstances.

i like how the final expansion pack to the sims 3 is "into the future"
so here we are in the future, with the sims 4.... and i just wanna go back to the simple old days of dlc where there's only 11 add ons. not 30+ and then some more in the future
sims 4 is just cluttered with a bunch of useless add on such as "stuff packs" which is literally nothing more than content ripped from your typical expansion pack. while at the same time, still selling expansion pack

pink wixard stuff packs replaced the sims 3 store, and there much cheaper $10 super cheap! compare to the $5 for a bed on the sims 3 store!!!! And I way before that EA is giving us lots of content! So if you don’t like it then don’t buy it!!!

@@radwooah and denying how much of a cash grab and utter bollocks the sims 3 store was is bad too. I love both games, neither are perfect and touting one being better over the other is plain silly. Just enjoy the fact we have the older games still playable (as EA usually takes EVERYTHING old down) and those who've never played the others who enjoy 4 enjoy the franchise as well.
No lies here, I'm glad we no longer have the stupid store - we suffered from mirco transactions as players too damn long (since sims 2)
@@nikkolsun uh I'm Australian so it was usually $40 to $50 😅 so for me sims 4 is actually cheaper without the store content (I usually don't bother much with stuff packs unless there's something worthwhile. I had hidden springs and luna lakes - birthday presents - and always felt worlds like the one with the roller-coaster should have been proper game packs.)

What I think that EA will do for the sims 4 version of this pack:
-Split it into few packs:
-Main: Get to the Future (Expansion pack), with less futuristic items
-Plumbots (Game pack), which will just add plumbots & its required items
-Futuristic Stuff (Stuff Pack), that adds more futuristic items
-Plumbots can be created when opening CAS (which makes the game less challenging)
-Sims 4 version of Oasis Landing will not have any plumbots (you know why)
-Possibly more disadvantages
Please EA, don't make sims 4 version of this pack like that

I loved this expansion, but I always found it extremely broken that it's super easy to get to future and once there you can just take all the best technology for free, and even sell it for thousands of simoleons.
While I enjoy ZombiePurSim and VampirePurSim, I think I would very much enjoy ROBOT PURS. I would create armies and have them run the world with their sentient personalities.

If it weren't as utterly lame as an ad for another EA product, I wouldn't have mentioned anything at all. But that was so freaking stupid that I had to.
Also, I didn't spoil the main thing that's inside... so you still have that to explore and assemble, which is at least a bit cooler than an ad!

This review made me sad cause the sims 3 was significantly better than the sims 4 and many people agree. Also there may not be a sims 5 because the sims 4 is selling okay to say best but yea the sims 4 May be the last sims game you know if they updated it so it was open world I may love it a lot more.
I very highly doubt TS4 will be the last Sim game ever made. EA will milk that franchise till the end of time. They will more than likely bring open world back in TS5 and people will eat it up because TS4 was such a disappointment.

I loved this pack. The idea of visiting descendants in a different time and occasionally kidnapping one to complete my team of epic superheroes is very appealing to me.

Question: How is the load time when you've got every expansion and stuff pack installed? I only have 3 and it takes nearly 8 minutes to load. I'm just curious.
i have every ep except for pets, showtime, itf and world ambitions (had to remove it) installed, along with high end stuff and town life stuff and let me tell you - do not make the same mistake as me. my computer needs about 10 minutes to just load to main menu and 5-10 more to load the saved game. i made a mistake of downloading and using eps mostly for new stuff (for eg i only use sims 3 spn for items, i dont use spn creatures and stuff) and that made me screw my computer up twice.
though pets, island paradise and seasons are what makes the game lag so much. with pets, there are so many animal species, furs and all that stuff in cap. seasons has way too many objects plus actual seasons and different weather. and island paradise is super laggy itself (thanks EA, really appreciate it). Isla Paradiso is pretty much the worst town to choose (for me) since it makes my computer freeze every 5 minutes, so i gave up playing there and just use the stuff that came with the ep.
and wow i'm sorry this is so long lol. i wonder which specs does LGR have, his games never cease to amaze and impress, always going smooth and all that.

I think maybe this is why they did Sims 4 the way they did, with all the load screens everywhere you go. The load times get pretty insane.

It takes about 1-5 minutes and I have every expansion pack and so many CC and mods
Crimson Chris what pc specs do you have? When I start the sims 3 it takes 45 to 1 hour to get tho the menu and to load a world it's exactly the same. :/. ( forgot to say that I have lots of CC and almost all of the expansions + allot of store content (downloaded for free ^^))

i couldn't stop laughing at that. for the sims 4, will you continue to do reviews like what you did for the sims 3? meaning each expansion, stuff pack etc.
I honestly liked this pack more than I imagined. The future world is meh but I find myself using the aesthetic items that this pack brings. My home at the sim world is very futuristic in its aesthetic and functions. And of course, the Plumbots, I like the way that they're so efficient and so cool. Not an expansion in my top 3 but I definitely have this above Island Paradise, Supernatural, and Showtime.
I have to agree, Tropical places sucks, The Ski resort in Sims 1 is more convincing to play

the only reason I think they dropped the open world, was for the new engine, which was meant to deliver a far smoother experince than sims 3 (sims 3 was coded like pure hell) but at the same time they offer some big things for performence, this is just my theory though.

Le Leedler well, given the sims 3 lifespan lasted for 5-6 years, I would not rule out the possibility of a patch or expansion which adds an open world, just I dont expect it be soon.
with open world u get lag u have to wait a while for it to render and lots are generally empty with loading screens theyre like 2 seconds and are generally full of sims
XxtigergirlXxx For some apparent reason, my game loads up to 30-50 seconds!! So that's why most of the time, I spend my gameplay in my Sims' home.

As mentioned towards the end of review, yes. Which really kind of makes the future somewhat pointless in a way, since you can just buy and use all of the future in the current worlds.
Yeah, I thought the future stuff would be largely, if not entirely, unavailable without travelling to the future, or at least typing in 'buydebug on'. A lot of the World Adventures stuff is only available in Buy Mode if you activate that cheat.
Man, I love to get real comfy when I watch your Sims 3 reviews. Can't wait to see the inevitable Sims 4 expansion pack reviews. :)
This was my favourite expansion, I used to get bored a lot playing the sims (other than the building and customising aspects which I could immerse myself in for hours and days) it had a story to it and cool references to stuff like back to the future, which I love. And when I found the spaceship when out searching for stuff I was like oooh. I didn't even know that was there, so it was a nice added little surprise. I love the robots and how you could wash and sleep so much quicker too, with charging pods and the instant cleaning machines. Sims 4 atm feels a bit meh to me after I was used to playing this expansion and all its wonder, for ages. Haha
I remember these sims 3 review videos helped me convince my mom to buy the expansion pack I wanted at the time

I really like the options introduced in this one. Yeah, Oasis Landing as a town is good, but I like the uses of Plumbots as live-in servants, and the garden rugs, because they allow for indoor planting without having to moveobjects-on move them inside, or else leave the floor unfloored. This is important because of my gardening obsession. Those rugs can be used inside greenhouses (if you have the Stone's Throw set), tended by a Plumbot with a Robotany Gardener trait chip installed, and sometimes harvested via green dragon, depending on how extensive it is and how far through the Plumbot is in tending it. Also, a magic gardening gnome - it's a modded item, but handy AF.

Mimmi Koukka It doesn't crash for me, but I've heard that the original game crashes for some people, so I guess it's all about luck :D And I can survive without all the ,,cool stuff", because the game has enough clothing, hairstyles and furniture for me. Plus, when I downloaded all the expansions and stuff packs in one Deluxe version, I got all the limited edition things too, so I have more than enough :D
Mimmi Koukka I don't really care if EA likes me or not :D If I understood well, you buy the original expansions and stuff packs? Well that means that EA likes you. But you know what they like even more? Your money. They like it so much, that they're ready to release an unfinished game and later ask for crapload of money for basic stuff that should be in the base game.
I always come to your videos first when it comes to TS3 expansions just for your review. Then again I'm still stuck playing TS2 and haven't touched TS3 in months, but every time I see a video of yours I want to get back in there.

This was probably one of my fave Sims 3 expansions. I loved playing in the future with robots.
There's more to do in this one expansion pack than in all of The Sims 4. It's insane how bad of a game the Sims 4 is all these years and packs later. Such a shame

This was my favorite expansion pack for The Sims 3 and I really hope they bring it back or revamp it for The Sims 4
More realistic science than call of duty.
Both. You've got everything you technically need to get by in the future, but you're also not getting all the content of The Sims 3 in the future. Lots of jobs, lots, and features are missing from the future world. And if you have the Pets expansion, too bad, no pets there either. I just treat it as a vacation spot and it works out fine for me.
There are PLENTY of games that work on MDA monitors. See my video on the Hercules graphics card.
They should bring this pack back into the Sims 4 as well as University
I wish the sims 3 lasted at least for a few more years with expansions so we can have more time before the lifeless sims 4 comes out
