    I`m planning a new pedalboard also using an ES-5, and i was having lots of doubts on wich plugs i should get. This was exactly what i was looking for. Great video.

    The BOSS BCP-4 pancake is the smallest on the market @ 13.6mm wide and 7.8mm thick

      They do look real small. This video talks about the advantages of using straight plugs (stubby type to be specific) on your switcher side when your pancake plugs (whichever you decide to use) aren't the best application. This video was also released in 2018. I believe the boss pancakes weren't around at the time. Thanks for watching!

      @@AlphatoneAudio Sorry it wasn't a critique to your nice video, just an add on for people looking for these issues when there is little space on a pedalboard (me a few weeks ago). Cheers

    Looking for the G&H stubby in TRS config. I can not find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

    This is a very informative video, thanks! But are there stubby plugs in TRS? I have a switcher where all the stereo connections are in TRS jacks that would need TRS plugs and I'd like stubby.

      Thanks! There is supposed to be a TRS version of the SPS4 coming, but no word yet. Until then there are good right angle options if they fit your switcher.

    Just got a boss es-8 and build, really love your video&channel👍👍do you know is mogami 2524 can use with the sps5 plug?

    • @AlphatoneAudio
      @AlphatoneAudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! SPS5 can handle a max cable diameter of 0.23" (5.8mm). 2524 should fit, but will be snug. You can always go with 2319 which is a great alternative with a lot less bulk.

    Here in Europe I cannot find all this connectors... It is a pity. Anyway I can find the
    380 Switchcraft but is says it is a PHONE connector... It is safe to use on guitar equipment? why for phone and not universal...¿?

    • @AlphatoneAudio
      @AlphatoneAudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Phone connector is just a generic term for any 1/4" plug. An ancient bit of history that no longer means anything. For sure, a Switchcraft 380 is an audio plug.
