- This will be the first in a new series of videos where I simply take you through my thought process on cable assembly with various plugs.
First up is going to be the GLS right angle TRS pancake style plug. I recently built up a bunch of cables using these plugs for a customer on a budget. Watch the video to see if this is your new favorite plug, or you just get what you pay for.
Thanks for watching!

Fume extractor bro. Also, thank you, very helpful.
Top notch job and explanation. I also really like G&H plugs, I made a couple cables about 15 years ago and they're still going strong, never had an issue
Glad I could help!
Not many others are doing what your doing, thanks for all the content!
Thank you!
Camera angle is perfect (that's a huge deal on almost every video like this I've seen). Clear and concise explanation with tons of really helpful tips. I've looked at a lot of these sorts of videos and I always come away understanding the process better and with some little tips that I know will make for a stronger connection and better built cable. I know it's not much, but a sincere thank you for the effort!! I'd love to see termination using Neutrik connectors if you ever get the itch to make another.
Thanks for the kind words!
Im getting into the hobby of making custom cables and you've certainly been the most helpful thank you!
Good to hear!
Great demo video!
Thanks!
Great video!
Thanks!
awesome video! thank you. I have a question hoping you'd be able to answer... I have the stubby plugs, right angles and straights... is there anything different? might you be able to do a video with them, if not maybe give me some pointers before i start? i'm not a pro, but i have made xlr cables before
Great video! Which G&H plugs did you use? Was it the normal bigfoot straight one and the normal RA one?
Part numbers are BF2PNNN for straight, RF2PNNN for right-angle. Exit hole is .322"
Why can't Americans pronounce solder correctly ? It's not Sodder it's SOL-DER. Other than that, nice demo
