U can't beat that GMMG chambered exhaust sound for f body cars! I used to have a 97 SS anniversary 6 sp with the GMMG catback. I lost count of how many times I got asked what kind of badass mufflers was I running. Man I miss that car so bad!
Definitely would rather have the SLP LM-I. In my personal opinion, the LM-II sounds good, but just not quite aggressive enough. The GMMG sounds really wicked but raspy as fuck, making it sound like some kid just cut his muffler off. The SLP LM-I sounds aggressive, yet still has that good pure quality sound to it. And in all honesty, I think the last one sounded like shit lol.
I've purchased two Loudmouth II bullet mufflers for my LS3. It has longtubes, ported heads and a Fast 102mm Intake. I can't wait for it all to be installed! It's going into a 87' IROC-Z28
I ended up getting a Hooker LT1 style Catback, any decent muffler shop can make it work easy enough, especially if they do all there own hangers then you just cut off the S-bend and mate the I pipe to the LS1 Y-pipe. I have yet to install it but I got it from Advance Auto and used a promo code that knocked 50 bucks off the price, with tax I payed 337 but I use Ebates and got about 19 bucks in cashback so net I payed just under 320, which you can hardly beat since the SLP's are 380 at cheapest.
Were 3 of you recently in the Carroll county area I'm pretty sure I saw 3 of you pass and all sounded amazing! I was at sheetz fillin up my z28 when I saw ya guys at night
my impressions 1. SLP Loudmouth 2 - "relatively" quiet idle but still gets loud, kinda like the stock. 2. GMMG catback - decent idle but really bad rasp on the top end 3. SLP Loudmouth 1 - Great Idle, some rasp at the top end 4. TSP bullets - "Hollow" rattle sounding idle that turns into a rattle trap / rasp machine at WOT I'm leaning toward the SLP's (as they are the cheapest option, and I need to save the money to go to other mods), just can't decide which of the 2 to do.
What you're missing is some of these cars have headers, and some don't which greatly changes the sound of the exhaust. The loudmouth 1 with headers is just LOL.
Oh cool, your in the burtonsville shopping center where cheeburger cheeburger used to be. I was just looking at a 35th anniversary SS with the SLP package and came on here to hear some exhaust and yours all sound great. Hopefully I will be joining the american classics meet every sunday morning soon. Cheers
LM2 if you ever wish yo do longtubes in the future. Longtubes with a LM1 turns into a high-pitched, annoying rasp machine, whilst the LM2 still gives some sort of deep tone.
Luis Ortiz all the lm1's you see are the same except for the tips..the muffler is just a resonator like a straight pipe almost..if you have longtubes that shit is Hella loud
Finally figured out where this is located. Lol. Do you guys still meet here? If love to hear them in person, I'm trying to decide on a cat back. Years later, I know, but please let me know
Well, yuo can get madhammer exhaust (which is made by the exact same people as the gmmg, and is the exact same product) for 675 shipped with tips and it's 100% 304 stainless steel. So it was a no brainer for me. Do you plan on keeping your car for longer than about 8 years? I do. my American Racing headers are 304 stainless too.
your right. But gmmg is more expensive than an entire true duals exhuast set up LOL. 900$ for only a catback with stock manifolds and cats vs. 600-700 for long tubes headers, orx and two dynamx bullets, its a no brainier for me
Not to ask too many questions but also, the last trans am has ebay headers right? How hard was it to get them on? I have heard mixed reviews about fitment and install issues. If they went on with no grinding or cutting and re welding or hammering? If so does he maybe have a link on what vender from ebay he got them from? Thanks
Great video, I really like the way you were able to organize this. The GMMG sounded the best to me. I have a subwoofer on my computer's speakers, so I was able to hear everything pretty close to real life. Loudmouth 1 and 2 have always sounded pretty lame. The TSP wasn't bad when revved and at idle but the *clunk clunk clunk* at one point wasn't a good sound.
SLP LM 1 is fine with stock everything but as stated previously, it gets loud and raspy with LT's and a cam. I still liked it though with mine. The GMMG is sick with either but sounds really good with LT's and a cam which I did later. Those are the top 2 IMO. SLP LM2 is boring with stock system in place but gets nice sounding with LT's and a cam.
Once you cam these cars they get obnoxious loud. I'm running a borla and it's more of a raspy tone than deep. Really considering true duals on it in the future
Where are yall at in MD? I just picked up an '01 SS and need some compadre's with similar interests haha...... I dont see many 4th gen F bodies in Lexington Park...
Lucky, I was hoping on picking up an 02 SLP SS this week for 9k but the dad of the dude selling it insisted on 10k so not sure I'll be getting it any more :/
Just curious what tips are on the 2001 Trans am? I just bought a 2000 SS camaro with the SLP loudmouth and it has tips like the first camaro but the trans am ones look really sharp. Also how can I tell if I have the SLP LM1 or LM2
I think I'm going with whichever is quieter honestly. I want that sound but not the loudness.. haha I know it can set off car alarms and I don't want to wake the neighbors (I don't want them to totally hate us, lol) we go to a meet every Saturday morning and leave at 6am for it, so that's why. And I think I found it for cheaper somewhere, let me check
on SLP's website, It says 400, for everything you need for LM1 or LM2. I swear I thought it was only 200, odd thing is I can't find anything for 200 for loudmouth now..
Damn normally I love the way true duals sound but I didn't really go for that particular T/A with them. Awesome comparison though thanks for posting this. In my opinion I think the winner for me is the LMII. Only thing is it is a bit too quiet. I like that tone though.
The LM2 just doesn't sound loud enough. It sounds just a little bit louder than stock. If the LM1 ends up being too loud, I'll add a Borla XR-1 muffler. And I don't plan on adding longtubes so I think I should be okay.
I'd have to keep hearing them, over and over, to make "MY" Best Decision.!!..But, I rate the 1st as the Worst....Not Bad though !! The last had a deeper Low Rev, for what it's Worth...Possibly, Almost a Partial, straight pipe sound ?? Of course, if these cars exhausts, weren't So Loud.. They wouldn't sound as Powerful...They are Just Too loud, to make an "ENGINE" power sound.....IDK...Food for Thought !!
The lm1 is really loud! I would've guessed that car had headers. I'm just wondering if there is an audible difference between the 1 7/8 headers and the smaller ones. what size are the header primaries on the 99" T/A? I have 1 3/4" primary pacesetters and they are really quiet with my sleeper 3" single in/out flowmaster setup.
Wow that last trans am sounded so aggressive!!! #1 IMO. Do the true duals dump behind the differential because i dont see no exhaust tips on the trans am?
The first Trans Am was the best!
Yeah what the hell did the 2nd trans am sound like lol, it sounded sorta like a older muscle car like a pos one lol.
JUSTIN!!! haha yeah it did!
lol
Its not me lol jk dont know how to do the face for it on her lol
Haha i dont either!
i like the sound of the 2nd and 3rd cars. now i want to hear them all at once :)
The last T/A was the best sounding!!
Sounds like an LT1 T/A. Personally like the first T/A more but the second one still sounds amazing
U can't beat that GMMG chambered exhaust sound for f body cars! I used to have a 97 SS anniversary 6 sp with the GMMG catback. I lost count of how many times I got asked what kind of badass mufflers was I running. Man I miss that car so bad!

the 99 Camaro SS 😳 sounds 🔥
😎
I've purchased two Loudmouth II bullet mufflers for my LS3. It has longtubes, ported heads and a Fast 102mm Intake. I can't wait for it all to be installed! It's going into a 87' IROC-Z28
2nd Camaro is best imo. Can't beat V8s, man.
Lucas Curnutte ferrari f355 v8 has the sexiest fuckin sound
Damn lucas i was about to say the same lol
Chemical spore your talking about cars well over 100k
First one absolutely wons every day
1st T/A sounds good as well.
that Firebird looks and sounds way sexier than those Camaros. those Camaros looks so plain and featureless Firebird all day !
I'm going with LM1. As soon as I get my next paycheck I'm ordering it through Maryland Speed. It's on sale for $360 with free shipping.
Haha, it probably was us. Its been a while since we where all in that area. We went to Liberty Dam and took some pictures of the cars.
That SLP LM-I is fucking sinister.
They all sound good the 99 camero ss was my favorite. But like the comment below said a nice matched set of heads and cam make a world of difference.
My thoughts exactly. The cam makes a big difference in the sound
All sounded great. My favorites would have to be the SLP LoudMouth I and GMMG.
I wish there were still people driving these cars I’m literally the only one in my town that has one
It's between the second and the third car,I cannot decide
my impressions
1. SLP Loudmouth 2 - "relatively" quiet idle but still gets loud, kinda like the stock.
2. GMMG catback - decent idle but really bad rasp on the top end
3. SLP Loudmouth 1 - Great Idle, some rasp at the top end
4. TSP bullets - "Hollow" rattle sounding idle that turns into a rattle trap / rasp machine at WOT
I'm leaning toward the SLP's (as they are the cheapest option, and I need to save the money to go to other mods), just can't decide which of the 2 to do.
Y did the last Pontiac sound more deep and louder sounds good
Trans am or ws6 is my favorite and dream f body
There's only one thing that would've made this video better. At the very end, all of them revving simultaneously.
Loudmouth 1 takes best tone hands down
Number 2 won that!!!
GMMG hands down!
What you're missing is some of these cars have headers, and some don't which greatly changes the sound of the exhaust. The loudmouth 1 with headers is just LOL.
That '99 Camaro sounds meannnn
damn that first one almost flipped over bc of the torque lmaoo
Weak ass suspension. 😆
This is a great video, glad y’all could set this one up
Oh cool, your in the burtonsville shopping center where cheeburger cheeburger used to be. I was just looking at a 35th anniversary SS with the SLP package and came on here to hear some exhaust and yours all sound great. WS6 TAKES IT FORSURE!!!!!!
LM2 if you ever wish yo do longtubes in the future. Longtubes with a LM1 turns into a high-pitched, annoying rasp machine, whilst the LM2 still gives some sort of deep tone.
They all sound great I like the sound of the 01 ws6 the best tho
3 sounds best for me
I've loved gmmg since the blackbirds. I've had LM1 on my ws6 for about 6 years though. It's the next best thing to gmmg if you don't have headers.
I whent Phab true duels x pipe dumped at axle for now, no muffins insane loud WOT nice at cruising and idle. soon will go over axle out back.
2nd Camaro sounds super sweet.
the only problem with the Camaro that has the loudmouth 2 it has a single back exhaust
still sounds good thoiugh
all GM yes sir
Last of a dying breed
Luis Ortiz all the lm1's you see are the same except for the tips..the muffler is just a resonator like a straight pipe almost..if you have longtubes that shit is Hella loud
Yeah the best price is on Maryland speed. They have it on there for 359.99 with free shipping.
GMMG gets my vote for best sound
Doesn't make sense to compare exhausts when some have headers and some don't.
Finally figured out where this is located. Lol. Do you guys still meet here? If love to hear them in person, I'm trying to decide on a cat back. Years later, I know, but please let me know

first t/a sounds bad ass.....imo.
no 3 for me
Would have liked to hear the loudmouth 2 with long tubes...one day wana put that on....
Ever do it?
@@billyray4716 naaaa
Awesome cars
GMMG Sounds Damn Good.............
The last one was the worst, the second camaro sounded the best but the first trans am sounded good at idle but not at high rpm
your right. But gmmg is more expensive than an entire true duals exhuast set up LOL. 900$ for only a catback with stock manifolds and cats vs. 600-700 for long tubes headers, orx and two dynamx bullets, its a no brainier for me
I love the video and I love my 4th gens
Not to ask too many questions but also, the last trans am has ebay headers right? How hard was it to get them on? I have heard mixed reviews about fitment and install issues. If they went on with no grinding or cutting and re welding or hammering? If so does he maybe have a link on what vender from ebay he got them from? Thanks
the number one thing to reduce/prevent rasp is to KEEP your CATS, which IIRC means you can't run an off road y pipe.
Are the cats deleted on the third one?
Great video, I really like the way you were able to organize this. The GMMG sounded the best to me. I have a subwoofer on my computer's speakers, so I was able to hear everything pretty close to real life. Loudmouth 1 and 2 have always sounded pretty lame. The TSP wasn't bad when revved and at idle but the *clunk clunk clunk* at one point wasn't a good sound.
What's up bro a Question
The first Camaro brings headers? or use the stock manifolds?
SLP LM 1 is fine with stock everything but as stated previously, it gets loud and raspy with LT's and a cam. I still liked it though with mine. The GMMG is sick with either but sounds really good with LT's and a cam which I did later. Those are the top 2 IMO. SLP LM2 is boring with stock system in place but gets nice sounding with LT's and a cam.
people always say nothing beats true duals on these cars but i just dont get it. i never heard a True dual setup I liked more than GMMG.
Once you cam these cars they get obnoxious loud. I'm running a borla and it's more of a raspy tone than deep. Really considering true duals on it in the future
2nd Camaro has the earlier 4th gen tail lights but later 4th gen ss wing. Still an LS1 car? or LT1? All sharp cars by the way.
Likely just swaped to lt taillights I've seen people do it before
Where are yall at in MD? I just picked up an '01 SS and need some compadre's with similar interests haha...... I dont see many 4th gen F bodies in Lexington Park...
Lucky, I was hoping on picking up an 02 SLP SS this week for 9k but the dad of the dude selling it insisted on 10k so not sure I'll be getting it any more :/
What exhaust is on the camaro with the license plate Lla??
Its in the video description....
thanks for the upload. to other commenters gl having ideal setup comparisons on any f-body, these cars have too many available modifications
Respect to all my LSX gang members! Keep putting it down keep killing coyotes 5.0 !!!
Thanks for the video. It's nice to compare the different sounds. Your rides are nice and clean. Keep on the good job with your F-Bodies guys!
AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!!!!!
Just curious what tips are on the 2001 Trans am? I just bought a 2000 SS camaro with the SLP loudmouth and it has tips like the first camaro but the trans am ones look really sharp. Also how can I tell if I have the SLP LM1 or LM2

A cam would make it obnoxious loud
what part of MD? are you on LS1tech?
LOOOOOVVE that GMMG cat-back! Sweet music... :-)
The 2 car have flowmaster ?
The last one sounds like flowmasters
Last one sound best what on it
The SLP LM1 is great if you plan on leaving the stock manifolds and mid pipe in tact. Otherwise is gets RAPSY. The LM2 has a great tone with LT's
Nice ss!
Look like black C5 z06 wheels with chrome lip. I could be wrong.
Well I WAS trying to decide between pacesetter LTs and their ORY package, or TSP headers and TDs. I know what I'm choosing now lol
The LM2 just doesn't sound loud enough. It sounds just a little bit louder than stock. If the LM1 ends up being too loud, I'll add a Borla XR-1 muffler. And I don't plan on adding longtubes so I think I should be okay.
May
THANKS for uploading! Loudmouth 1 :)

Where do you guys meet up at? I have a 2001 Camaro SS.
The SLP is just a sticker on the car that came with the exhaust....
On my 99 ws6 have off road y pipe no cats, slp loudmouth, and long tube headers.
First Camaro have stock manifolds? That car sounds amazing.
What's the difference between the trans am lsp and the ws6?
ok im confused on the LM1 set up.... ive been looking online for then but there is a bunch which one is it ?
Burtonsville?
1st car lm2 stock manifolds, 2nd car gmmg and longtubes, 3rd car lm1 and longtubes, and the 4th on has longtubes and tsp duals?
The lm1 is really loud! I would've guessed that car had headers. I'm just wondering if there is an audible difference between the 1 7/8 headers and the smaller ones. what size are the header primaries on the 99" T/A? I have 1 3/4" primary pacesetters and they are really quiet with my sleeper 3" single in/out flowmaster setup.
The description has all the info
3 vehicle with LM1, is that with stock manifolds, Y pipe and cats? If so thats the sound I want!
If you're sticking to the Y pipe setup, GMMG or Magnaflow is the only way to go. Otherwise, duals FTW.
Wow that last trans am sounded so aggressive!!! #1 IMO. Do the true duals dump behind the differential because i dont see no exhaust tips on the trans am?
+Fransisco Lopez yes i have them on my 98 z28, they dump directly after the rear diff and turn down and away from the diff
To bad these cars are mostly stock. Makes a big difference when you throw a h/c on them
Exactly kinda disappointing without a nice cam chop
Anyone else think the second Trans sounded more like a LT engine?
I kind of the the sound of the tru duals.
I know between the T/As and Camaros there are different mods to them, but why does a T/A sound so much different from a Camaro?
