1998-2002 LS1 F-Bodies are still the best looking and handling muscle cars GM has made to this day. I'll take one of them over the new Camaros any day.
1gbayfisher To each his own I guess.. I think the new Camaro's are too bulky and handle like a pig compared to the 98-02's. Put them on a diet. Not to mentioned the rear taillights on the new Camaro are the ugliest design I have seen in my opinion. At least for 2014 the redesigned them to look a little better.
BobbyHaet for sure, the new ones are fat and not much fun. I almost bought one twice, just couldn't pull the trigger after sitting in mine, my GTA felt like a go cart in comparison. I will wait for the 2015, we shall see whar that one becomes. If its any more than 3500lbs, I will pass and buy a 2008 zo6. I am sick of pony caers weighing more than 2 tonnes. I agree with you that the 98-02 are cool carsm ust not that pretty, lol.
1gbayfisher A Muscle car that weights close to 4000 lbs should have 4 doors or at least ample room in the back seats ala GTO, Charger, Challenger etc. As much of a Camaro fan and Chevy guy as I am the 2010 and up Camaro has no back seat room yet weights almost as much as an SUV. I am glad to see someone here agree. If I were you I would opt for the Z06. You see Camaro's everyday not not a Z06 every day. I wish auto makers would put as much emphasis on curb weight as they do on Horespower in today's Muscle car wars. I would rather have something nimble and powerful than a tank with a monster engine in it. I still love Camaros's but the 98-02 LS1's produce the same 1/4 times as todays Camaro with the 6.2. So have they really improved the Camaro? Just sayin.. Chevy all day.
Most people would just say "791whp Camaro" instead of trying to estimate the flywheel horsepower, considering horsepower was not measured at the flywheel. But props to the owner for building a super clean car!
This is one of the nicest looking 4th gen Camaro's I have ever seen. It's beautiful. Don't mind the comments from the brainless losers. That paint job looks amazing, especially with the taillights and side markers, I love the grill and the raised cowl. And those wheels, damn those wheels look extremely nice against the all black car. I wish Fiske was still in business because those are the best wheels for a 4th gen hands down. Those headlights look really nice blacked out too and the hid's and the window tint. Its all perfect. The ride height is also really nice looking. On top of that you have nearly 800hp at the wheels. This is awesome.
I agree fully. And imo this is a badass setup. I mean dang, did you read the mod list? Done right and im sure the engine, trans and rear end would hold more.
This is fbody goals!!!! Was trying to decide what I wanna do to mine and this just told me everything. Got the headlights, markers and tail lights. Same grill just different color and torque thrust rims. This fbody is bad ass. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This is one of those amazing occasions for our hobby - that Camaro has a BUSY chassis going on but looks so clean and innocuous from the outside! I would never have guessed the brutality it packs beneath. :-) Also cool how nasty it sounds (like an NA high-comp motor) despite the twins that usually quiet things down. Thanks for posting up!
Read the dyno chart it made 791 to the tire. Which would put him at about 970 to the crank due to parasitic drivetrain loss. 1000hp at the crank would put him right around 800+/- hp to the tire.
Vtecnegro85 You probably have never even driven a car close to 800whp. Builds like these take a lot of work, patience and more patience. Near. 800whp is damn good no matter how you slice and is more then enough to whoop on most vehicles you find cruising the streets including your vtech powered economy car. So show some respect. Respect the build because of the process, the time, and the quality, because your a car enthusiast. Does not matter if it is a import or a domestic.
Man that motor. And all I can do is look at my T/A. Tore the rear out. Gotta love 12 bolts. So I just shot my very 1st load of tannerite with my mag. and blew the heck out of a pumpkin today. Made me happy so I uploaded it
909.65 hp to be exact round up 910 so u were right on the dot. 6spd manual gearbox on a rear wheel drive has a 15 percent drop. so good job on the calculating, right on the dot. thumbs up man
@bigerch85 thanks for sharing but if you read the description youll notice that it says "1998 Camaro SS M6"...... m6 meaning manual six speed transmission
Obviously his boost is turned down. Maybe trying to protect the T56 till it is fully built. It states that it only has a steel shift fork. Just because it is on a dyno does not mean that it is giving it's all everytime. This might be the street tune to make it more manageable on the street.
simple muscle with hidden power..exactly how i like it! not flashy, just sexy and will walk almost anything on the road before they even know what happened... thats how i did my 94Z28 3" edelbrock exhaust, dumped it out, looks much cleaner and sounds great too. though I was only pushing 400rwhp...this thing has double that and i thought mine was fast :)
Well, I used the word 'probably.' Dyno settings might've inspired them to calculate it that way. Ask them to mount the engine to a dynamometer that measures the crank horsepower and I guess we'll find out.
It can be, just depends on what is put into the car. For an example, Lingenfelter and their Vettes, automatics lose 21% while manuals lose 17%. So you're right haha.
i just hope thats tire smoke and not the rings already burnt up. but looks kind of blue to me. maybe its just out of tune for that gas. but thats a beauty none the less. i like the sleeper look like this.
1998-2002 LS1 F-Bodies are still the best looking and handling muscle cars GM has made to this day. I'll take one of them over the new Camaros any day.
best looking? hardly.

BobbyHaet fail and no. unibody cars flex too much even with chassis brace. do you even drive dude?
backs in, shows his stuff, then rolls out like a god damn boss. i love that car.
THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. HANDS DOWN..
sounded so damn badass at startup ^.^ sweet 4th gen bro thumbs up
Music over motor ALWAYS sucks!
Rick Villa take this W lol. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
cleanest looking 4th gen i've seen. well done.
Most people would just say "791whp Camaro" instead of trying to estimate the flywheel horsepower, considering horsepower was not measured at the flywheel. But props to the owner for building a super clean car!
that was close.. my girlfriend almost caught me watching this video... :)
LOL
my nigga
Hahaha 😂
🤣
Awesome video, and amazing car. But the music was kinda overpowering the whole video. I want to hear the car.

Looks exactly like my 02 z28
Real sweet car! Kinda was expecting a lil more RWHP with twins though....

that car is beautiful. goals for mine
It only took 20 seconds to like everything about this car. And I haven't even seen the actual car yet, only the motor.
Damn nice car man.
That car is beautiful!
amazing choice on the wheels
what a sick tint-job on those windows! awesom!
The brakes needs a serious upgrade.
EVIL!!!¡¡¡!!!...
Seems like youve got it on a mild tune at the moment ..
AWESOME WORKMANSHIP
Congratulations on that awesome Camaro it is perfect it looks beautiful with those wheels and that paint.
damn great wheels, not cheap setup!
1000whp, custom grill, stock brakes, welcome to merica.
Uh where do you see 1000 whp at? As big as the engine is it should have made over that but no where close to it.
Read the dyno chart it made 791 to the tire. Which would put him at about 970 to the crank due to parasitic drivetrain loss. 1000hp at the crank would put him right around 800+/- hp to the tire.
kylealovejoy still dont see 1000 at the wheels. I already read the dyno chart. 791 is 791 or 800 if rounded off, still not 1000.
vtecnegro85 this guy is talking out of his ass..

this machine looks as intimidating as it gets in a car!
That's what I'm talking about! Nice wheels and car ! Hope to have my camaro as fast
Love the shot of the stock brake calipers.
wow. that is the nicest looking f body camaro ive ever seen.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!, I have a 99 z28 manual in the works, cant wait til ive finished her
Sickass Camaro
Love the look of it.
Wow, i enjoyed coming to this and listening to your song.
Gorgeous wheels!
this is one bad ass Camaro!!!
Love it. Definitely has more power in it, but im guessing this was a pump gas run with traction limiting the amount of power to be put down.
Ima Build A Ws6 Since Yall Buit My Dream Car !!!
Man that motor. And all I can do is look at my T/A. Tore the rear out. Gotta love 12 bolts. So I just shot my very 1st load of tannerite with my mag. and blew the heck out of a pumpkin today. Made me happy so I uploaded it

Sick Camaro man......nice work.....she's a beauty!!!!
Straight up monster, man !!
@bigerch85 thanks for sharing but if you read the description youll notice that it says "1998 Camaro SS M6"...... m6 meaning manual six speed transmission
I love those rims, along with the rest of the car lol
It now has bigger twin 67s (yes there bigger, the exhaust is bigger and has a better flowing comp wheel). It made 11xxrwhp if I remember correctly.
it lets heat escape, not to mention looks badass
Nice Dyno Queen.
Awesome vids like this always get ruined by music. Bad ass Camaro though
@jmoney.... you're a genius! 2valve mod motors are 4.6 liters stock.... mine is stroked to 5.1 actually
Bad ass Camaro SS Looks very well down with and the tuck work
791hp go for more make her meaner
I do not like camaros very much. But this one is done RIGHT! Well done!!
Awesome car! What finish did you get on your rims?
Beautiful camaro. Would love to have one alongside my mach 1
turbos makes engines run better as long as u have the right camshaft and lifer set along with air intake
i dont wanna know what the turbos are rated for, all i gathered was a claim of 1700 at the crank, but the dyno sheet only said about 800....
in love with this hood
You can tune a car but you can't tune a fish...🏁
cant wait to see a race
Obviously his boost is turned down. Maybe trying to protect the T56 till it is fully built. It states that it only has a steel shift fork. Just because it is on a dyno does not mean that it is giving it's all everytime. This might be the street tune to make it more manageable on the street.
nice 'maro.. love that black..what specific color or black was it and how many clear coats did you do?
simple muscle with hidden power..exactly how i like it! not flashy, just sexy and will walk almost anything on the road before they even know what happened...
thats how i did my 94Z28 3" edelbrock exhaust, dumped it out, looks much cleaner and sounds great too. though I was only pushing 400rwhp...this thing has double that and i thought mine was fast :)
where is this beast now?
4th Gen Z/28s and SSs look mint but 4th Gen WS6s and Firehawks always looks baddass and sinister!..
Love the 4th gen fbodies. I have a 95 Z28 with low miles and a few basic mods. 😊💪
If you like 4th gens check mine out!
any more videos on this car???
One of the baddest Camaros.
If it weren't for the scoop, this would def. be a wolf in sheep clothing.
Well, I used the word 'probably.' Dyno settings might've inspired them to calculate it that way. Ask them to mount the engine to a dynamometer that measures the crank horsepower and I guess we'll find out.
I think your right. That is a nice setup
@gabP505 I think the 970 is at the crank, and the 790 is at the wheels.
Does anyone know what kind of headlight those are and where I can get them at
did you even run it cool before you ran it super street hot
The most important thing, does it have time delay on the wiper blade system. ?
Yes and the tires are just fine.
There are trucks with smaller cubes and similar setups in the 4 figures of rehouse
that car was amazing the owner told me it puts down 1300 to the wheels now?
Is it me or did those turbos not spool up and whistle?
at 970hp you better be rock solid.
Prolly on 93 oct and detuned on purpose. That builds got 1000+ with the right tune and fuel
the 970hp is estimated Crank HP with a 19% driveline loss. Its 791rwhp.
Anybody know what kind of hood that is and or where I can purchase one? Any help would be much appreciated.
omg that's cars beautiful!
Those are some huge ass tires.
I guess that the person who owns this Camaro SS was thinking. "Yeah, just another day at the office." :)
At first that seemed to be a pretty steep decrease, but it's only 18%. That's not bad depending on the set up and all.
It can be, just depends on what is put into the car. For an example, Lingenfelter and their Vettes, automatics lose 21% while manuals lose 17%. So you're right haha.
Did u happen to add a 1 in front of the dyno sheet lol? I only saw 700hp not 1\700
i dont like camaros but this camaro has one mean look its pretty sick like the front of it it looks aggressive nice job :D
i think they spent alot on this beauty the FIKSE wheels are something around 3400 dollers but man they look nice
Just goes to show u ...now they are making 2k hp all day on that setup moe
Do all 4th gen Camaro pretty much have nearly the same space under the hood and for the firewall?
yup, I've owned a 93, 95, 02 and worked on every other year.
what does that car run in the quarter
Right... apart from getting rid of the heat from the engine... I know you meant to say apart from that right??
what size are the rear tires
awesome car but where was the 970hp run?
I am assuming they are saying it made 970 engine HP, but that dyno run said 791 HP so that translates to 930 HP. So I really dont know for sure lol.
man with new tires i now you get more speed
What good is that!!! It is sick!!
Sweet and it kicks ass 🇺🇸🏁💰🏆
said 1700HP Total... yet on the dyno threw down less then 800.....
Jason Lord Boost is probably turned down.
1700 horsepower is hard to measure on a dyno. Anything over like 1200 tends to spin on a dyno.
Can anyone tell me what clutch is in this car?
Anyone know the music in the video? One bad maro!!
i just hope thats tire smoke and not the rings already burnt up. but looks kind of blue to me. maybe its just out of tune for that gas. but thats a beauty none the less. i like the sleeper look like this.
Angry no, factual yes. Open your eyes son, anger is not the issue here.
Car looks and sounds great! Would love to see it make some runs.
