all functions on the steering wheel makes miles more sense IMO to minimalize interior button clutter than throwing them all into a touchscreen behind menus
@@3rddude Moza has an SDK you can use to create apps that can interact with Moza devices. I assume Tesla has a functionality to create apps for the car, so you can make an app for your tesla that can use the Moza SDK to use the wheel.
being able to customise ur own wheel in a car is acc a really cool thing that i wish car companies would make easier to implement as it is the most handled part of a car. could make auniserval deatachment system like seen in sim wheels
as much as i would love it, safety regulations on cars are an absoulte bitch for electronics and software. it would be simply illegal to use a sim racing wheel on a real car. as steering and shifting (and potentially other controlls that are implemented on the wheel) are features that could potentially harm a person if they fail the regulations are extra strict and development and approval costs absolutely explode. an airbag alone already leads to that. that is the reason why you have no choice. steering wheels without electronics are a whole different story though where you only have to prove material compliance which is comparatively much easier although i think that airbags are mandatory in most countries for series produced vehicles.
The first time ive ever seen someone put a bonafide racing wheel on a streetcar lmaooo, i NEED to know if this actually works as a regular steering wheel.
@@omgitsoxyI'm sure the system requirements of AC would be way too much to work with the gpu/cpu/SOC, whatever it is that runs the infotainment system on the tesla.

this* also I have a moza and their open and very detailed code is able to do this especially since it was a tesla its not nearly as much work as other cars also the only thing that im confused about is how the quick release adapted to the tesla since it is like a normal car quick release it shouldn't connect to a tesla hub so easy
Now that's one damn expensive wheelbase. 😂
420 nM to be precise 😂
