So, this guy isn't famous or anything, but he was on my server "Burning Blade" back in TBC. We had a rogue called Blackbetty who would terrorize the Isle of Quel Danas. Everyone be minding their own business and then out of no where, Blackbetty comes along and annihilates you. Paused the video and came to the comments directly for Hell March commentary. Never am I disappointed with @madseasonshow for his OST callouts or the community for their appreciation.
Imagine being such a bad ass warrior when no one else could play that you ALONE got the class nerfed when everyone already thought it was weak 🤣 fucking legend RIP
Amazing video. Of course there are so many more and you can't include all of them. Some of the ones I had hoped to see: Athene "the best Paladin in the world", Pat the Tauren Warrior wrecking people in Arathi Basin while playing Soil, Drakedog the Chinese warlock owning people in world pvp, and the makers of the Illegal Danish videos and especially the "Arcanite Reaper, hooooooooooo" guy.
I remember years back there was an Alliance player who took things strange by genuinely believing only evil people played Horde. Even if you mostly played Alliance, if you had just one Horde character, then you were an actual evil person and she'd do everything she could to cause drama/trouble for you in game and on the forums. No one could talk sense to her no matter how much they tried. Her character was something like a priest or mage, and while I've forgotten what server she was on or her character name beyond it started with an A and might've had angel worked in there somehow, she managed to tick off everyone on her server until both Horde and Alliance came together in cooperation to mass spam snowballs at her back when they had knockback soon as she was spotted in game. Last I remember, she was convinced all Horde were still evil and all Alliance players were traitors.
Reckful reincarnated into a Palestinian baby and he was 2 years old when Israel blew him to bits which is ironic considering he was Jewish in his most recent former life. No one knows where he’s at now, hopefully reborn in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark or Japan. He loved Japan and the Netherlands in his Byron Bernstein life.
I remember when Reckful passed, and I recall just how GUTTED his community was. Man had a massive impact and I remember seeing him pop up under Recommended many times. I'm glad Blizzard honored him with an in game Rogue who looks like his iconic character. He, and many others who passed, proved that WoW was a great unifier. This was a great compilation. Thank you.
Noone will top Angwe to me. I was on Dethecus and part of M E R C I L E S S. The amount of backstabbing, posturing, and just general asshattery were something you had to be there for. Man, seeing Hobbs on this list made me so happy. Obviously I followed Swifty and Reckful and Soda for the crazy PvP stuff, but Hobbs I think was the first one I found and followed (and still follow). His mass pulling videos were so amazing to me back in the day I wanted to do that so badly too. Also, Joana was such an inspiration back in the day, I bought his guide for leveling and followed it pretty thoroughly until outlands.
I remember nearly getting banned for using the priests mindcontrol in pvp. Back when ret pallys could solo a team of 30+ players so id MC him and tossed them off a cliff.
It's been 17 years since TBC and to this day, if I ever meet Doofus from Dunemaul... he could be the nicest guy in the world; shit is still going down.

I'm not much of a pvper, but that funeral raid is one of the best things from classic wow. I'd have been more disappointed in people if there wasn't a fight there.

Dropping the name Vinkar from Bronzebeard all the way back in Vanilla. Notorious ninja looter. He would raid lead BWL and MC then steal all the druid loot.
IMHO there's nothing wrong with Chitsu's requirements if that is what the guild is about and they wanted to have a world first Karazhan clear. I would've happily joined them to be honest. It would've been fun to be one of the first lvl 70 players and immediately go raiding.
there is a twitch reckful and Joanna rerun channel, doubleagent is currently leveling and factionless. two more interesting infamous would be: horrigan (guild the enclave) banned from wow after ruin gaming gm repeatedly reported him to a congressional friend for 'recruiting white supremists' and the multiple recorded sessions of rallys from ironwolf clan drunken rants. grade A stuff
players didn't appeal their death, because the incident happened prior to Blizzard having official HC servers. It was all coordinated with an add-on, and it was essentially the community trusting that everybody was being honest about it. Some people who died chose to continue playing on the same character, because nothing was forcing them not to. It was pretty scummy what that guy did, and I can't really blame them for not deleting. Props to HC Elite for raising the profile of Hardcore and having the discipline and effort to make it that far. There's no question that they would have gotten a KT kill eventually.
Big shoutout to some notorius dudes I played with back in the day - Oblivinati, Undead Mage - Best mage ive ever seen. Vainglory, Night Elf Warrior - great duels outside shat. Gorgo, Tauren Shaman - only shaman ever close to as good as me, but I beat you every time we dueled :) Chubbz, Tauren Shaman - Dethecus/Andorhal
When WoW release Death Knights and Howling Blast was broken, you could wear the entire Blue BC Plate set with all of those delicious gem slots slammed with WotLK +STR gems to get 20,000-30,000 Howling blast criticals, one shotting the entire enemy Alterac Valley team. Good times.
The Tinyviolin story started when he was multi-boxing priests and dispelling world buffs in classic wow. He played on private servers under the name Tinyviolin, was a guild master of raiding guild, and talked openly about how he would grief on the upcoming HC servers. The leaders of HC Elite were allegedly aware of his back story and intentions; it was all very public information.
@MadSeasonShow I love the fact, that you used Final Fantasy VII and IX music❤ My fav. in the series. Only the Mad season show can do this, with his soothing voice, narrating one hell of a video! Thank you for your Top Quality content, Sir🙏🏽
Zeuzo was and is a legend, guy is Swedish/Iranian and a now distant friend of mine. He studied law but due to his Method experience he got work in gaming industry (Yes, hiring manager knew his nick). Another less fun fact is that the money he got from selling his char he used to buy stuff for his home which later had a break-in and most of it was stolen.
I wonder how many folks there are like myself who have done some interesting things that go entirely un-noticed by the larger community. For example, I got the name Legend and then got the title Justicar making me Justicar Legend (before it was an account-wide title) I then went on to solo-faction bosses across all the Horde capital cities. After sharing screenshots of that on social media on July 6th of 2023 which got a few thousand views, Blizzard then decided to nerf Protection Paladins on retail and make it so that Word of Glory now costs mana so Protection Paladins can no longer go out and just stand fighting a boss with a massive amount of health for around 2-hours straight. But maybe it's not an interesting video to make though. Perhaps people are not interested in less famous or infamous players.
Jokerd is a fun one. First to 60 in classic. Got some prominence and joined a high end guild. Stupidly ninja'd some molten core loot and got himself kicked out. No idea what that guy is up to these days.
what's with your weird, random use of "the" when it comes to proper nouns? "the" fires of heaven, when it's just fires of heaven. or "the wrath of the lich king" when it's just wrath of the lich king", etc?
Absolutely amazing video. I think it's very telling that almost all of those are from the old days, says a lot about the lack of player interaction direction the game took, forsaking its roots in what makes a MMORPG truly great.
Awesome video, really took me back to amazing times during my own journey in the game. A bit surprised not to see Otherguy, the PvP Mage from Illidan here but he might not have been famous enough. :)
great work honestmy i know a list is never complete to great additions would have been haeven games and barny the bee keeper, and obiously mad season show who apperently the maker of that video doesn't even consider .; D
You should totally check out the story of Albira the worst guildlead among german players. Just recently got into his antics and he was famous in the german community. That dude is the embodiment of choleric.
Hi, i watch your videos frim time to time. And they are great! I enjoy every video i watch. But... Just a friendly hint/tip: In mist of your videos the background music is a bit to loud. Sometimes it is hard to hear you against the music.
The fact that madseason show is back to pumping wow videos, despite all the heinous acts that activision blizzard has performed gives me hope for the world of Azeroth. Thank you madseason show for delivering that nostalgia feeling.
Honestly, banning the mage that soloed Nax was the biggest, saltiest L that Blizzard has ever taken. Absolute failure in every conceivable way on their part and total hubris.
Definitely amusing that you put Goon Squad and Elitist Jerks back-to-back since they have ties to each other on Mal'ganis going back to the original beta.
When you're able to bring the Horde AND the Alliance together in one place, peacefully to pay respects. Dude you had the impact and will always be remembered.
Last few weeks I have been feeling nostalgic. I have been going back through your videos. This is a great way to get the hole Series rather then jumping around trying to find 1 2 3 so on.
While I won't be needing this video now, because I just re-watched every video like 3 days ago but I will be coming back to this so thanks for the upload xD
Uhhm, I might be mistaken but these are all people and events that are well known in numerous other videos. Sorry, but this is just a rehash and thus not interesting. I really thought it would be about other players and events you discovered recently.

All she did was spellsteal bone armour, and a talent buffed her damage.
I agree. An exploit is when you use game mechanics in a way they weren't meant to be used.
The entire point of spellsteal is to steal spells with it.
Agreed, she did nothing wrong. If anything she was a beta tester that Blizzard had for free.

Blizzard has always lacked humility, even before they were aquired by Vivendi and later Activision. They always have punished players for exploits, even when it was clearly their fault.

On Bonechewer back in the day it was those horde rogues, Sleeve, Pantleg and the other one. Fucking made Quel'Danas dailies a pain in the ass.
You should talk about Vips on proudmoore. Dude head weekly raids to kill horde leaders during wotlk. Such a legend
there is a twitch reckful and Joanna rerun channel, doubleagent is currently leveling and factionless. two more interesting infamous would be: horrigan (guild the enclave) banned from wow after ruin gaming gm repeatedly reported him to a congressional friend for 'recruiting white supremists' and the multiple recorded sessions of rallys from ironwolf clan drunken rants. grade A stuff
players didn't appeal their death, because the incident happened prior to Blizzard having official HC servers.
Gorgo, Tauren Shaman - only shaman ever close to as good as me, but I beat you every time we dueled :)
Chubbz, Tauren Shaman - Dethecus/Andorhal
Nothing better than drifting to sleep while MadSeason tells you WoW stories and then be woken up apparently getting deducted 50 DKP?!
Soo.. this is basically the existing 4 videos just cut back to back... kind of lazy.
"Did you ever hear the tale of Inotep?" Mhm, it sounds familiar..
Awesome video, really took me back to amazing times during my own journey in the game. A bit surprised not to see Otherguy, the PvP Mage from Illidan here but he might not have been famous enough. :)
great work honestmy i know a list is never complete to great additions would have been haeven games and barny the bee keeper, and obiously mad season show who apperently the maker of that video doesn't even consider .;
D
You should totally check out the story of Albira the worst guildlead among german players. Just recently got into his antics and he was famous in the german community. That dude is the embodiment of choleric.
Hi, i watch your videos frim time to time. And they are great! I enjoy every video i watch.
But...
Just a friendly hint/tip:
In mist of your videos the background music is a bit to loud. Sometimes it is hard to hear you against the music.
It’s crazy that some of this clips from 2007 are so clean. Rich mofos with crazy PCs and premium internet connection just dunking on people.
Leroy Jenkins was the only man who could rival Zezima. Where my Rune Scape nerds at??
2:14 Gedran what a legend « Gedran stands in line for inoteps roaming fingers » thats top lvl rp 😂
I’m still here for reckful being no1. Not just for wow, but for streaming in general. Reckful is wow. And Reckful is twitch.
Absolute failure in every conceivable way on their part and total hubris.
no mention of Exe the priest? was hoping a mention of him. otherwise great video as usual!! RIP Reckful & Joana
Wonderful video as always. The Joana and Reckful part brought me to tears. May their souls rest in peace.
Definitely amusing that you put Goon Squad and Elitist Jerks back-to-back since they have ties to each other on Mal'ganis going back to the original beta.
I was never anything but a casual player, but it’s interesting to see how the game took on a life of its own. Fascinating video.
1:10:22 Man would rather play claw machines than wow these days... that's why he stopped playing.... self explanatory
Do you ever feel like, idk, you lost a game or something when you hear about Reckful? Also, shoutout to Hayven Games.
Great video. Surprised there wasnt a mention of Henry Cavill. He missed the Man of Steel call because he was healing (think disc priest).
While I won't be needing this video now, because I just re-watched every video like 3 days ago but I will be coming back to this so thanks for the upload xD
should be named "famous and infamous world of warcraft players to fall asleep to"
"coneheads" being derogatory has to be one of the funniest things I've heard come out of stories about classic
Was anyone ever on hellscream server back in like TBC/WOTLK era? If you do.. do you remember Jasst?
Uhhm, I might be mistaken but these are all people and events that are well known in numerous other videos. Sorry, but this is just a rehash and thus not interesting. I really thought it would be about other players and events you discovered recently.
that 32 day unarmed Ironman might be my favorite, i just can't imagine doing that ever when I could do some others if I was a NEET
