Didn't expect to wind up here tonight, but I'm here. I had to read some comments here, and I feel so much better. It's not just me. I was never alone. It's really kinda hard to iterate my feelings with this movie. I can't even say I watched it a lot, but the feelings I remember every time I did were so strong. Maybe stronger than I realized then, and coming to full circle nowadays. I realized something so young, even before I fully know how it felt: I learned abandonment is real. Very real. The fear of abandonment rose up in me so early on, even without explanation, and I'd cry about it too. I'd start to feel it very soon too because the way my mind is, frankly, no one really knows what to do with me. It has come back around with my family crisis. It's hard to tell in which moments my family acknowledges my struggles, and in which they forget altogether how I feel. Fighting through the clinical depression has not been easy. Somehow, I was reminded of this song, and its way of counteracting fears of abandonment. It's good to know I'm okay even when I cry. I just need to sometimes, until the night I can safely dream of not being alone anymore.

According to my dad i used to watch this movie, rewind it and watch it again, and i literally did that until the tape broke. But i dont remember anything about it other than it was about mice.

i listened to this a a kid,... since i didnt have a mother figure... i would go out to my balcony every night ... i would look at the moon and wonder if my mother was looking as well... this song helped me be strong during my biggest battles in life.

Yes, Medusa was planning to kill Penny and her accomplice, Mr. Snoops. There's a scene where she is holding them at gunpoint and threatens to kill them if either one tries to follow her (Medusa's greed got the better of her and she refused to share any of the diamond's wealth with Snoops). It's just after that Bernard, Bianca and the Swamp Folk destroy the Riverboat and escape with Penny and the diamond on Medusa's swampmobile.
