"The Rescuers", "The Fox and the Hound" and "The Great Mouse Detective" are some of the best but criminally underrated Disney films.
Right? Just because they don't have "Princesses" to advertise and market towards little girls to sell "Princess Merchandise" to, that's why...

Beautiful haunting and underrated
One of the most underrated Disney movies ever, along with A Goofy Movie. It doesn't have the computer-drawn animation of its sequel, but I always found it captivating as a kid.

I love Rescuers Movie my favorite. Penny is a brave little girl and happy ending have a family.
As a child the opening was my favourite part because of this. From 02:09 to 02:44 was my favourite part
That's the part I always liked too! just so much emotion and awe. The painted imagery for the intro really played it's part as well.

As an upcoming anime creator l see this song as an absolutely perfect sound track for a death scene, especially the climax at 2:09. Having my character Osei crying to the skies over the loss of his wife and child, showing the tears flowing, me imagining it makes me cry alone. If I had the budget to clear this soundtrack with Disney I would happily use it however that would be difficult. So the next best thing is to get a composer to make a song inspired by this which is what I'm working on now.

Why does this theme sound even more epic than the movie actually is?
This movie is one of the best animated flims, the soundtrack, the characters (Bianca is a feminine abd strongminded lady I love her so much)... the emotions it conveys makes this a melancholic masterpiece.

I hated this intro up until 2:58. It was so gloomy but that bottle was her only hope. And you can really hear it in 2:58. Such a good movie.

It's amazing that I just realized that this song was sung by the same person who sang "We Are One" on the soundtrack to Dino DeLaurentis's ORCA. I always knew Carol Connors had a beautiful voice; a perfect blend of being haunting and also soothing like a lullaby.

I started to draw Surangeai to model a face from a little boy named Dickie Jones!
I was four when I got this record and book for Christmas. Five when I saw the cartoon. It wasn't until recently that I bought the DVD and actually realized how wrong it was for Disney to write and cartoon-ize this story. I loved this cartoon and the story itself isn't really that bad. HOWEVER, in today's circus that is now reality..... I'm surprised Disney hasn't been shut down or sued for childhood trauma, yet.

LOVE this movie. I could never understand why the sequel is so much more popular. Yeah the animation is better but those outback creatures were annoying AF. The swamp creatures in the first film were far more entertaining. Medusa is 5 times more menacing than McLeech.
I like to think both the original and the sequel were equally good, also it was the original that was more popular, although I get why, the sequel was still a great family film.
I always watch both movies back to back, and I find the sequel more entertaining every time. Every time I keep telling myself it's just nostalgia and that the sequel is gonna pale in comparison to the first film. It never does. I think it has to do with the fact that the first film is a slower-paced film than the sequel, while the sequel goes by briskly. But I love both films a lot, and the first film is certainly the darker and more mature of the two, which is what made such an impact on me and made me love the film so much.
A song felt me when a concert's tickets are not very expensive because I want to make amends to draw Backstreet BOYS!
