Yeah, it's a pretty cool car. I always like this body style too, so updating it with a Coyote or maybe a Godzilla really breaths some life back into it.
Austin is a man of understatement, but when I asked him about putting the Coyote in without a lift he looked at me like I was from outer space. I wish you the best of luck with it!
haha bro I did the same thing no lift, I made a pully and attached a chain to the front end of the car in front of the radiator and jacked the car up and dropped the engine from the bottom.
Yeah, I agree that it's a little bit of a funny choice. The stock K member is actually stronger than most of the aftermarket tubular ones though, and I suspect that this was a budgetary choice for this project as well.
Well, hopefully watching this channel will satisfy some of that. There is a lot of content in my back catalog if you look through it. I had a guy tell me the other day that he had watched the entire channel, which is a couple of days worth.
They did a mid model redesign in 99, and while those cars are commonly referred to as “new edge”, they are still an SN95 chassis car up to 04. In 05 Ford switched to the S197 chassis.
What an awesome swap! I totally love how SN95 cars drive...this definitely makes it next level!!👍👍

Great video.
I’m doing this project in my backyard. Currently pulling the blown engine out of a 01 cobra. Key word is slowly without a lift haha.

Did he misspeak when saying he used the same k member?
No, he said that the he used the factory V6 K-member but changed the motor mounts. It surprised me too.
haha nope I sure didn't when I did the interview
would absolutely love to get help and learn from you

I thought the sn95 stopped in 98
