Some used to make a full video of the highlights once everything is done. Some do "full build in 10 mins" bs which I don't really care for. This is good tho.
Finally! Three most satisfying hours I've spent on TH-cam. And, it is so nice to see Chris so happy after finishing the build of his life. Yes, there is Jumpacan and other cars, but this Mustang is/has always been his "baby". Cheers!
Love the long format complete builds. And as always, the amount of work is insane, doing your own thing is always a lot of work, but trying to fit stuff, especially a shell, from one car onto another, that is always insane.
Great work Chris. A real tribute to Carol Shelby and the foundation and just awesome to have it in one episode. Hopefully next year you’ll release the Murci build as one episode as well. Keep up the awesome builds.
I watched the original build and it was so awesome and watching them do this again I love it love it love it love it. I wish they would’ve got the other one back at least known what they did with it.
a few notes for working with fiberglass in the future is, i would recommend Totalboat Resin very good stuff and sets a lot harder than some of the general resin, the other is use an oscillating tool to cut the fiberglass for very clean cuts and a lot less cost in grinding disks
So the saw blade situation I have found that nine times out of ten it’s user error that causes the blades to become dull and that buying quality blades is worth it because they do last longer when used correctly it’s all about speed and feed!
Maybe just me but I love to watch when I go to bed, but the music inbetween is really annoying. I rather have just quiet or you just speak. As I said maybe just me I donno.. Anyhow awesome build! You guys are really talented and fun to watch!
Brunt, boots got a set £150 a they are comfy after 3 months but the back of boots rub the back your leg and they started leaking round front top stitching, that's with daubing put on constantly, but had to put the 2 insoles in boots to make them feel comfy, so beware, they feel massive 😊
As someone whos done a radio swap before with Ford it's worth it to stay with a factory radio, did a sync 2 to three swap in my focus and it was really easy, unfortunately their car was a sync 1 radio not a sync 2 (like my grandfather's 15 mustang) or sync 3 like what it could have come with had it been a higher trim level. For four hundred you can get almost everything needed to swap to a sync 3 radio from ebay, then you need the adapter harness (usually 1-200$), and the trim for the radio (about 100$) still about 800$ but sourcing parts separately is a decent bit cheaper then 1800$ for the upgrade off navi upgrade. I get why they used this head unit (I had the same one installed in my 2004 bmw x3 and had constant issues with the buttons, the antenna needed a booster or something because it would barely get a signal, it is easy to connect a backup camera to but they usually aren't great compared to the OEM one that would (as far as I know) have just worked
Ford still owns Mercury. The Mustang was actually originally the Cougar. There's a few pictures floating around with the first Cougar emblem in place of the horse. When Mercury actually built the Cougar, it was a slightly longer Mustang, mostly. Better interior and all, but quite similar. While the Mustang pretty much stayed in the realm of 'small pony car' the Cougar just kept growing, turning into a land yacht, until the 80's when it joined the Mustang and quite a few others on the Fox platform.
The first fiberglass chemical you had it sound like you just didn't put enough Harner in there I messed with that a lot and if you put too little it takes longer to dry and if you put too much it dries up too fast and hardens
are these custom body panels for the 2019 mustang? or restoration panels for the 67 fast back? how did you line up the width and wheel base if the cars are different dimensions?
Since I print car parts and body panels as well, there’s a challenge you may have - the more days that pass, the greater the chance for a fatal error. Make sure you have a power bank that can sustain the machine, as even a brief power fluctuation during these 9 days is quite likely
Not enough catalyst used in the resin caused the issue I’d say plus the vacuum bagging was totally unnecessary step causing surface layers to be too dry / not enough resin.
@@theshop2545 agreed, bought my first welder last year, teaching myself basics, I always tell people you’ll learn one of 2 things from a project, you can do it, or you might need help doing it, either are acceptable. Plus who doesn’t love having to buy a new tool?
@Camperfanatic01 I actually started a restoration on a 65 hardtop Mustang in March, my first time ever dealing with rotten floors and body panels in a car. Bough myself a welder and went to it. Actually my first full restoration, I've tinkered and modified cars for quite a while now, but a full restoration? First one. In the end is get to it, do it, and you'll get better
Would be cool if you could still cut space for wider wheels. I mean you did cut cars in half before. Don't think that'll be a huge deal. The wheels don't fit on that car at all. Try to put twice as wide wheels on it. At least on the back.
maybe its just the edits but, you remind me so much of Steve Jobs. the guy that "created " the iphone. naa they guys that created the iphone were engineers Steve jobs just stood in front of everyone and talked and said he built stuff. maybe if Oscar had a channel we could watch the guy that built the mustang work.

WOWZA! Absolutely stunning! I've dreamt of having a new old 69 Camaro for many many moons! Perhaps that could be your next build! wink, wink, nudge, nudge! 😉

Hi from the South east of England UK 👍😎City of Southend on Sea
Mustangs are garbage

Nice because I work on fighter jets😅
I wish more youtube builds were long format like this. Being able to just sit and binge an entire car build is so cool
I am in total agreement with that!
Yes please

3 hours ❤
You are the only TH-camr allowed to say “grab your popcorn, sit back, relax and enjoy the video”
Oscar’s back! If just for one episode. And it was in the past but still. Oscar’s back!
we miss you Oscar 😂
Shout out to Oscar the real builder this guy sounds like he’s just a video editor!
This project is amazing and very satisfying to watch. Thank you very much for sharing it! ❤
Great video. Open the f-stop so the background can be in focus when you’re talking about an item.

Show should be called Oscar Built
Question, when you are done with the swap what does it get titled as? Thats one part nobody talks about.
Wow this video was great! Thank you so much!
One of the best builds
Watch all your videos and watch them again to keep up the support! 👌

That car is epic!
Can you stick the old
Mustang build videos back up, now that they've lost the copyright claim?
Sorry but its against the advice of my lawyer. But i do believe these videos are more in-depth and better at showing how it should be done.
@@behindthebuild8749 no worries dude!
Fuck I’d love to buy one of those absolutely loved the modern technology and everything with the old-school body. Love it.

Exhaust out the side would've been badass
72 Chevy nova and a new Camaro are basically the same wheelbase too ;)

Would this make it as light or at least close to the 1967 Mustang?
Where is the part with the ride and the cost breakdown?? He said you can watch it in the next vídeo but I can't find it.
Not enough catalyst used in the resin caused the issue I’d say plus the vacuum bagging was totally unnecessary step causing surface layers to be too dry / not enough resin.
