He is a class act and a great guitar player and singer! You rocked it my man. Thanks for letting me enjoy the moment with you my man!! You are the greatest Jonny!

He is great, how csn someone as young as him have some much feeling and sound .its a gift and he has it .ive seen him about 3times .i love him .so good.
White boys CAN plays the blues! Some people listen to great music ( Buddy Guy, B.B. King etc.) get inspired and do what they do. Jonny is a great musician. Hope he’s living his life to his best!
@@user-ne4sq9ct8t 🤣🤣 Get a clue. The backup singer is Bekka Bramlett. No relation to Jonny. She is however, the daughter of songwriting duo Delaney and Bonnie.
My wife and I saw 18 year old Jonny Lang with Beth Hart opening at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama 25 years ago in January of 2000. Wow what a night of great music in a great historical venue.❤ The Alabama theater was built in 1927 and is truly a historical masterpiece.
Hearing this back when for the first time, I was expecting to see an older, grizzled white blues singer with the more typical good-looking black female black back-up singers. The video presents a well-packaged demographically reverse engineered commercial product, but I can't complain about what I'm hearing. A hot groove.
I still love John Kay. I still listen to him. I'm 63 and I still think he never got the praise he deserves. Forgotten Songs and Unsung Heros is still my favorite album. I bought it at Paris Flea Market in OKC, OK for 1.00. I still believe it was the best dollar I ever spent ❤🦅 Aug. 18, 2024
@@martipellowmusic Bubba Nooo! 🤣 I was listening to him and it switched on me and the comment went to you instead. I was listening to Lie To Me. I LOVE that song♥️ I post for the trafficked kids. He played a saxophone solo for his 7th grade band concert. It blew everyone away. Everybody was like....what just happened? I know because I was also in that band. Hahahah
I turned 70 this year and have had a crush on this kid and his talent forever. He effing rocks and I grew up during the time when music was really music
I agree. But maybe music is still music but viewer and viewer of our younger "generationals" do not get introduced to real music. That's the real sad part.
Still great after all these years. Imagine being 17 years old, playing an unbelievable set, and the whisky bar owner saying, "Great set. Still can't serve you for 4 years!"
He is one of the most underrated blues artists. I discovered him and this song about 6 years ago and couldn't believe the talent behind this 17 year old. Timeless! His passion is as strong as his vocals, and I've made him a staple in my Playlist. I hope to see him live one day. 🙏 ❤❤❤ 🙏
@spongebobsquaretits I have heard of him actually. However, another underrated artist where I'm from. Well, Mr. SBST, I just have to admit I'm living in the wrong state. I hope to do something about that sooner rather than later. 😉 Thank you for the reminder of another gem artist. It's been a minute with my broad taste in music.
He came out of the womb with the blues! I've seen him twice in concert, and he was fantastic. The fact that he's toured with people like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith and the Stones when he was still a teenager tells you everything you need to know about him.
Jonny is a classic great guitarist and blues vocalist. I love his blues and rockin tunes. This is one of my favorite CD's. Yes I still listen to those! He was amazing. I realize now he has medical issues, but who know if he will return to this genre again. One can only hope.
I was at a college bar in Winona, MN in 1996 playing pool when this young punk jumps up on the pool table with an electric guitar and starts jamming to us. I couldn't believe it. He couldn't have been 15 years old at the time. So much natural talent.
The first time I heard him was on a job site, stopped on my way home and bought this CD. Was I shocked when I saw that he was a young white kid!! Have loved his music since I first heard him. He was born with this incredible talent!!
Johnny is one of a kind it does not sound like he is copying anyone's music. He has his own sound keep playing Johnny the rest of your life. I take my hat off to you. God blessed u for the good of man kind. Thank u very much. Keith Anglin a long time blues person.
Jonny opened for The Rolling Stones @ 19yrs young. First time I saw them, both of them were great!! Couldn’t believe how young he was, a massive talent!! 💗
There is nothing better than to see a truly talented artist play and feel his music through every pore in his body! Jonny has always done this and you will always get 110% out of his music.
He is the best. Saw him in Chicago at House of blues and all I can say is he's the most intense musician I have seen in a long time. Takes charge of the band takes charge of the beat plays the fields and plays and sings with passion that you cannot describe.
Just discovered this young man a couple of months ago and now have all his cds and am a forever fan. Damn! There is still hope for new generations!!! This guy has it going on for sure!!
His voice just sucks you in. Awsome guitarist. What a breathe of fresh air that can carry the "greats". Very talented man. He loves his music, no doubt.
He sounds like Joe Cocker. Once Boloxi, I heard my name called over the mic and this voice says I'm gonna do this song for my girlfriend Jackie... When I could finally see who it was, it was my boyfriend. With the mic and while he sang sounded just like Joe Cocker !! Oh BTW he sang::: "you are so beautiful"
I remember when this was played on the local rock stations back in '97. It blew my mind that the guy was only barely 16. I myself was 14 at the time. Good times.
I come from a music-loving family, my mom introduced me to this song when I was about 11 or 12, and I love TH-cam because I was able to find it again after a long time and it remains one of my favorites. This guy was such an underrated guitarist and singer. He's played with the legends, B.B King and the rest. He still makes music but unfortunately, his website says he is having vocal issues and had to cancel his shows a couple years back. I haven't found anything on him ever since, but that's a damn shame, because his voice here is awesome, and you can tell he feels the music.
I remember when I was growing up every Saturday morning my mom would come into my room singing waking me and my sisters up. we would eat breakfast and then clean the house and play listen to Jonny as well as SRV Chuck Berry BB King Eric Clapton Muddy Waters Jimmie Vaughn John Lee Hooker and many more. I know my mom is up in heaven right now rockin out to the greats. I love you momma Rest In Peace!!!!
That is so true, love this guy, own everything he has done, absolute best blues guy since Stevie Ray in my book, wish he would come down south more often, don't matter blues in in the heart and he's got it, love his work

Wow as a senior Citizen this young man is awesome. Sorry it took me to 62 years old to discover him. Just fantastic
I saw him on good morning america when he was 9. I knew
Me you it I'm 48 but amazing
I'm 74 and still feeling it!!
I am 68 and just found him a cpl months ago. I love his voice
In your defense, he was not around to be discovered for almost all of that time period
Who are the women on the couches ? They look like sisters ? Great vocals support ... "Lie to me ! go ahead and lie to me... love it
This song and Jonny's talent still speak volumes.
Moves the soul!!
White boys CAN plays the blues! Some people listen to great music ( Buddy Guy, B.B. King etc.) get inspired and do what they do. Jonny is a great musician. Hope he’s living his life to his best!
I think this song was performed in Minneapolis, mn. one of the greats of all time and he should be in the Hall of fame for sure.
Oh wow. I haven't heard Jonny Lang in so long. A great blues singer. Also I love the way he plays guitar.
Great female backing singer! She belts it out!
Yeah who is she?
@@user-ne4sq9ct8t 🤣🤣 Get a clue. The backup singer is Bekka Bramlett. No relation to Jonny. She is however, the daughter of songwriting duo Delaney and Bonnie.
@@atthespeedoflife77 The backup singer is Bekka Bramlett. Daughter of Delaney and Bonnie, and formerly of Fleetwood Mac.
u get those r black gals right?
@@sandrakirker133 You get that you have no f*cking clue what you're talking about right?
This young man can sing! And tastefully play the blues😊
he's a brought future ahead of him!!
This young man has an OLD JAZZ SOUL!!! LOVE IT! ❤
@JonnyLangMusic. it's a pleasure to be sure.
@JonnyLangMusic_ YES, actually I am.
@JonnyLangMusic_ I admire the quality of your voice very much.
great song , the backup singer has a killer voice as well
I know thats his Mother and sister sitting on the couch, but not sure about the other girl singing back-up.
The backup singer is Bekka Bramblett, daughter of Delaney & Bonnie.
Beck’s Bramlett, daughter of Delaney and Bonnie
Becka not Beck’s
Both are his sisters…his mother and father walked in the door
I still love John Kay. I still listen to him. I'm 63 and I still think he never got the praise he deserves. Forgotten Songs and Unsung Heros is still my favorite album. I bought it at Paris Flea Market in OKC, OK for 1.00. I still believe it was the best dollar I ever spent ❤🦅

@Rose-v6x Hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here
@@martipellowmusic Bubba Nooo! 🤣 I was listening to him and it switched on me and the comment went to you instead. I was listening to Lie To Me. I LOVE that song♥️
I post for the trafficked kids. I've used it a lot you know as an example of how it makes us feel about what's happening in America ❤️🔥🌹
@@Rose-v6xThat's nice to hear
He played a saxophone solo for his 7th grade band concert. It blew everyone away. Everybody was like....what just happened? I know because I was also in that band. Hahahah
Woah
Im not jealous...not at all🥲
Wow that's a cool story congrats
wow.
Ha ha ha...
I turned 70 this year and have had a crush on this kid and his talent forever. He effing rocks and I grew up during the time when music was really music
❤️
I agree. But maybe music is still music but viewer and viewer of our younger "generationals" do not get introduced to real music. That's the real sad part.
sorry I meant fewer and fewer...
Still great after all these years. Imagine being 17 years old, playing an unbelievable set, and the whisky bar owner saying, "Great set. Still can't serve you for 4 years!"
Lol as somebody who played gigs at bars at 15 let me tell ya, there’s plenty of bar owners who “forget” to ask 😂
And, what do you think the guitar shop owner said afterwards...'He, kid, would you like to come in and give some lessons, in fact I could use one"!
I love him an this song im tired of counterfeit liers
@Tonia-c7h Hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here
He is one of the most underrated blues artists. I discovered him and this song about 6 years ago and couldn't believe the talent behind this 17 year old. Timeless!
His passion is as strong as his vocals, and I've made him a staple in my Playlist.
I hope to see him live one day. 🙏 ❤❤❤ 🙏
Have you heard of Kenny Wayne Shepherd ? Another great guitarist, his debut album he released at age 19 was excellent. Ledbetter Heights is the title
@spongebobsquaretits I have heard of him actually.
However, another underrated artist where I'm from. Well, Mr. SBST, I just have to admit I'm living in the wrong state.
I hope to do something about that sooner rather than later. 😉
Thank you for the reminder of another gem artist.
Every time I hear this tune, it blows my mind, he's just a kid with a old black soul ❤️🎶🤯🤠
Pure Soul.❤❤
Jonny is a classic great guitarist and blues vocalist. I love his blues and rockin tunes. This is one of my favorite CD's. Yes I still listen to those! He was amazing. I realize now he has medical issues, but who know if he will return to this genre again. One can only hope.
Yes so entertaining I love this song unique. How are you Melissa ?
The amount of talent in that man is beyond incredible . . . . .
2023 still here....seen him 5 times live... no one pours themselves into their music like he does....he's such a genuine guy. ❤
I agree! Spectacular, natural talent.❤
Would love to see him live. 70 and still rocking! ❤

Wow
Absolutely talented BEYOND his years. Hope to get the privilege to see him in person luv that man's music and life so humble
Jeez, I guess I just crawled out from under a rock. First time I've ever heard Jonny Lang.
His chops are just insane!
I was at a college bar in Winona, MN in 1996 playing pool when this young punk jumps up on the pool table with an electric guitar and starts jamming to us. I couldn't believe it. He couldn't have been 15 years old at the time. So much natural talent.
Really? I lived in Winona at that time. Guess I was in the wrong bar.
I still have this on cassette tape, Go Johnny go!
The rawness of his music is excellent
The first time I heard him was on a job site, stopped on my way home and bought this CD. Was I shocked when I saw that he was a young white kid!! Have loved his music since I first heard him. He was born with this incredible talent!!
Like I said earliear this young man was born with an old soul just like gold
Regardless of race, you're either born with the funk or you aren't. This guy was born with it.
FKN *A*
Funk soul, brotha
he went thru that learning curve but had that old soul to take it to another place
Joy
Jonnyls
Come nack Jonny Lang. You're the best in guitar and so very Awesome
Here in 2024 and went 39 years without ever hearing this music cant believe it!
Better late than never
Johnny composed this song at 15??? Incredible!!
Johnny Lang was bad ass here, but his female backup is fekkin' awesome, too!!!!!!
That brunette in the sleeveless shirt is H O T !

With Johnny, just cant ant figure out what bluesman he's reincarnated fr!!!!!!!!!!!❤🎉😊

💗
Most definitely has that "funk" in his soul...love this dude.
Coaxing those sounds out of a telecaster ! Remarkable .
There is nothing better than to see a truly talented artist play and feel his music through every pore in his body! Jonny has always done this and you will always get 110% out of his music.
Hello handsome
He is the best. Saw him in Chicago at House of blues and all I can say is he's the most intense musician I have seen in a long time. Takes charge of the band takes charge of the beat plays the fields and plays and sings with passion that you cannot describe.
Would love to see him live. Does he your?
Just discovered this young man a couple of months ago and now have all his cds and am a forever fan. Damn! There is still hope for new generations!!! This guy has it going on for sure!!
This song was recorded when Jonny was 15.75, and released as a Single at 16. The Full Album was released just as he was turning 17...
His voice just sucks you in. Awsome guitarist. What a breathe of fresh air that can carry the "greats". Very talented man. He loves his music, no doubt.
I loved this song when it came out many years ago. WHAT a voice. Man oh man.
Feel it in my soul. What a voice
I AAGREE i gave thumbs down for 23rd frame subliminal satanic message and law of reversal satanic numerology and like
Sounds like Stevie Ray’s Son 💕
One of the most underrated talents of all time.
Best Live Performance/ Artist in a live performance.
Yep.
I remember when this was played on the local rock stations back in '97. It blew my mind that the guy was only barely 16. I myself was 14 at the time. Good times.
HELLO HANDSOME
Was fortunate to see Jonny in concert twice and his crew even gave my son and I a guitar pick from Jonny!! He was awesome!! ❤
That is so true, love this guy, own everything he has done, absolute best blues guy since Stevie Ray in my book, wish he would come down south more often, don't matter blues in in the heart and he's got it, love his work
16 yr. old Jonny Lang!!! What a amazing voice!!!! Love this song!!!
Pandemic has me revisiting this over and over . The fact that this talented artist has come to know the truth and is a brother in Christ now thrills me
