This video is like "Don't suggest a Metallica song ever again"
I at least need to hear Anesthesia to be satisfied.
That Four Horsemen singing was AWESOME lol
Forest - System Of A Down
Yess
@@XtremeKillah101 their best song imo
@@mrsmirk4495 one of their best definitely. It's hard for me to pick their best because they have Soo many good songs. For me my favorite is "streamline", if you haven't heard it then prepare to have your mind blown lol
That first riff!!!!!
@@XtremeKillah101 ye haha it's good but the chorus of forest is so infectious
Death - Flesh and the Power it Holds
Either that or bite the pain
@@afonsotopa9164 scratch dat, the entire Sound of Perseverance or Individual Thought Patterns.
ITP is an extremely cerebral album.
Literally any Death song
Led zeppelin - ten years gone
Daytotheyan YEEEESSS
Great video as always Mike, but I think the background music is inappropriate while you are playing the song ;)
*smh* love Mike but he misses shit sometimes that you're just like......what?
You should do this for Dream Theater
At some point. That'll be 6 songs though lol
Become The Knight, please make it a two part episode.
Almost 100k dude, congratulations, you deserve it (and much more)!!
Smal suggestion, can you turn off the background music when you play guitar, it kinda distracted me a bit.
Halo Theme (Mjolnir mix) by Martin O'donnell & Steve Vai
@@LordofDiamondsMetal that's Steve Vai?????
PLEASE THIS ONE
Riley Allen yes!!!
Riley Allen I didn’t know that until I saw the video on Marty’s TH-cam channel
Aren’t you even gonna have any ice in that beer?
Who says there wasnt?
who says there should be ice for Alcoholica?
busi magen that hurts my soul and I’m not even that into beer. I prefer hard liquor
Beer with ice, drunk through a straw... I guess you mixed it with a juice or something to have a "better" taste?
I bet you like that piss yellow beer-like liquid mass produced by veracious concerns that goes for quantity and piss on quality... Better to drink soda then that crap...
He can't put the ice in the beer.
He's trapped under it.
The rain song - Led zeppelin
Supper's ready by Genesis
Creeping Death - Stone Sour. Cover of Metallica.
Great cover!
Dago 64 It is.
I got so excited when you started playing Welcome Home! Undoubtedly my favourite "obscure" Metallica song. :D
I loved this take on SSF. Of course I knew plenty of the songs and maybe it's nostalgia but it was a cool idea. Multiple songs for one band. Hope to see some more to see where this goes. Not every week but occasionally.
Once a month is my target
Glad you had my suggestion I wanted you to review ("Low Man's Lyric" from Reload) as the song others should listen to. It's surprisingly one of my favorites from the Load/Reload albums. I knew (and was right) that most people wanted the head-banging videos (not that I don't enjoy a good Metallica head-banging session myself) and forget about some of the great things from the two albums after the Black Album.
EDIT: Wanted your opinion during "The Four Horsemen" session on the "not-serious feud" between that song and Megadeth's "Mechanix," both of which had Dave Mustaine as a writer.
I've already reviewed it before
Bartzabel- Behemoth
Myles Kennedy - Love Can Only Heal
Ne Obliviscaris-Intra Venus 🤘
Yes please
YES! 🤘
You should've taken the background music off when you are playing tho
Do you know the name of the background song?
@@amoebainyoface9390
Lil Pump - Gucci Gang
War Machine. It's an original. It's on the channel.
awesome
In the shadow of our pale companion - Agalloch. JUST. DO. IT.
Ludvig Larsson that needs to happen
The Melancholy Spirit
Megadeth - Conquer or Die
Vincent Van Der Hooi megadeth? Never heard of them
Just dropped the same track
@@RudyAyoub love u rudy
In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion - Agalloch
Omfg yes. One of the greatest songs ever written.
Keep tryin michael
YES.
Agalloch - the Mantle is the greatest album ever created
@@colinclark1981 I absolutely agree, and this is one of the greatest metal songs ever
1 hour 6 minutes of homework is what listening to these is. All except Shortest Straw (I feel meh about it) and Call of Ktulu wit the SFSO (because I suggested it). Always love this homework and hope you get to 1million subs soon.
Equilibrium - Wirtshaus Gaudi.
Do it, it's happy metal!
Red Cold River - Breaking Benjamin
Soil the Stillborn - Infant Annihilator
and Disposable Heroes is best here imo
Can't go wrong with some good 'ol Metallica.
Suggestion:
The Mars Volta - Cygnus.... Vismund Cygnus
Up in the sky - Oasis
I think I prefer these band themed Song Suggestion Fridays more. I hope you do these much more regularly.
Mike talking about lyrics? Right then, who killed mike and replaced him with a robot?
Interesting that you also really like Low Man's Lyric. It was one that really stuck with me because of just how different it was. I never cared much for the Load/Reload era (especially Reload) but this was one of the songs that I kept listening to purely for nostalgia. I got into Metallica in my high school years (about 8-9 years ago) so I'm not a very old fan but still strikes me with the nostalgia.
I was hoping Fight Fire With Fire was on here. I don't even like Metallica but I really like that song and that riff fucks me up
You might dig some of their bsides of brit punk covers
Good Charlotte- "Actual pain" or "Shadowboxer". they are mainly pop-punk (emo) band but tried to do kinda different with this new album. JUst want to know your thoughts about that.
More than a feeling - Boston
Yesss
I am a massive Metalhead, and Metallica is my favourite band, and Low Man’s Lyric is my favourite Metallica song. Watching Mike talk about Metallica is awesome😂🤘🏻
Symphony X - Egypt
Absolutely, hes done like one SX song before
Greetings from Costa Rica! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Video game themes next. Could be cool
I'm really glad you appreciated Astronomy. One of the few Metallica songs I come back to every now and then (even though it's just a cover, great interpretation). I played them so often in the past I keep their play down a bit.
S&M is also one of my favorite albums.
My suggestion, which is not something have done to often:
Mercenary: Redefine Me
When I discovered these guys 10 years ago, I felt they were some of the best mixes of screaming and power metal vocals I'd ever heard. Couple that with some really well thought out compositions and I find myself constantly going back to their songs on a lot of their albums.
It's crazy because most people I tell about them have never heard of them.
Definitely check them out.
Welcome to paradise - Green Day
You almost lost me with Don’t Tread on Me, but you immediately got me back with The Shortest Straw.
Tool - 46 & 2
Dude for song suggestion Friday could you do 'Lack of Comprehension - Death'? Keep up the good work man!!
Left Hand Path - ENTOMBED
Or Cannabis Corpse- Left hand pass
So glad you suggested low mans lyric, their most under rated song
Load and Reload are criminally underrated.
Man you know so much about music, it makes me envy you. Love your content dude.
Twilight zone- golden earrings
Agreed with you on The Shortest Straw. Nothing really grabbed me about it.
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog
The Don't Tread On Me solo is one of my favorites.
Solitude - Candlemass
hell yeah! love that song! 🤘
Dude now you made me want a full fucking cover of The Four Horseman
Radiohead - daydreaming
Welcome home (sanatarium) is my dad’s favorite Metallica song. And no battery? Cmon, I wanted to hear you do the intro
John Frusciante - Central
I have the same shirt!😁
also, can you do the best of times by dream theater?
Mama - MCR
I think it's really cool that Lars actually wrote the intro to the song ride the lightning on guitar
Peaches en Regalia- Frank Zappa
Bleeding me-metallica
Stone Temple Pilots - Kitchenware And Candybars
Have you ever considered doing full album reviews? I would especially love you thoughts on concept albums.
You played the intro to ride the lightning wrong
No, he didn't, that's what James is playing, while Kirk's part is probably what you're thinking of. Both are equally correct.
My bad, it's not, it just sounds more like it. Though he only missed the last two notes.
There is always that guy
he didnt play it wrong, he just switched the last 2 notes to james' part instead of kirk's
@@moma026able no
Hey mike, could you please check out ‘Ari ari’ from bloodywood. Keep up the great work!
Firth of Fifth - Genesis
Wonder what you think of Fixxxer, idk i love that song and i kinda feel is the underratedof reload.
Jim bruer was the best frontman for Metallica.
And AC/DC
And Burn The Priest
And Dragonforce
And the Wiggles
And everything
That arrangement of Ktulu, in my opinion, is the greatest piece of music ever written.
Mad Hatter- A7X
Would love to hear Mikes opinion on it tbh, Considering how divisive it is among the fans.
He's def not gonna like it. I'm a big fan and even I find it kinda meh. It's not bad, just a little plain compared to the Stage
Meh
@@VOYAGEUR-YT Thats true same thing with me. I dont really like the guitar tone from that song
RealGamerManz I agree. He likes the more energetic stuff from A7X and that song is pretty bland for them (although I like it a lot). He also doesn’t like M. Shadows’ voice and his voice isn’t as good on that song as it usually is.
13:17 total goosebumps when I heard astronomy
Hatesong by porcupine tree
I miss listening to Metallica as a teenager as well ,seem to spend more time dissing their later stuff than celebrating the early years ,weirdly like St Anger even with the biscuit tin drums...
Snuff - Slipknot
The intro made me happy, I love of Wolf and Man
Avatar - When The Snow Lies Red
I would buy a whole album of you doing acoustic metallica covers
I think it have made more sense to play with an electric guitar.....😑
Dyers eve, Damage inc, Disposable Heros... oh yes, when im tired of listening to One, Fade To Black i can always go to them, never gets old.
Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day
Can we get some Ne Obliviscaris? Painters of the Tempest part 2 please?
Breaking the habit: Linkin Park.
Voice Of Trespass by Between The Buried And Me is my suggestion. One of the coolest and most bad ass metal songs I've heard this year
Cheval - Igorrr
Hey! I've been a silent viewer for a really long time, i never really comment on things mainly because i never have anything interesting to say haha. But i've always enjoyed watching your reviews so i thought i'd throw a suggestion in. I'd like to recommend an artist who you may or may not like but i thought it'd be worth a shot recommending him. His name is Gregory Alan Isakov and I'd recommend "The stable song" or "Amsterdam". Hope you give him a shot! Have a nice week dude!
Vapor trail- Ride
Earthly Love - Gorguts. Yes Mike, thats a viola.
Suggestion for future videos if you do the part-playing before a song in a later edition: take off the backing music while you play. Just a little distracting. Much love man!
I dont remeber have you said anything about suggesting more than one song per comment so,
King Crimson- Epitaph
Genesis - Dancing with the moonlit knight
Rare Bird - Hammerhead
I demand you to do the four horseman cover acoustic.
Your voice + the clean guitar
It's incredible
I fucking loooove shortest straw, it’s not a very technically masterful song but it’s grooving as hell and it’s fun to headband and sing to. And I love that intro. And it says Megalovania in it.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR DYERS EVE!!!
Leviathan - Veio
A great obscure prog track for ya! ;)
I’ve always wondered if he actually plays lefty or if his camera is mirrored, great video btw
Please do more of these videos with a band in focus! Would love to see a version with death or slayer 🤘🤘🤘
I know this is early...but I really think you should do this again XD
First time watching this guy and I got so surprised when he whipped his ponytail out, couldn't see it at all from the front
Never heard call of ktulu before. Thanks mike. 🤘
Duuuuuuude. S&M version is so good
Become The Knight also it’s weird you chose to play the riffs with an acoustic but still sounded cool man. Love your shit.
Dancing with the moonlit knight - Genesis
