I don't even watch TV anymore. It's shows like yours that I enjoy because Its entertaining, educational, and just down right fun. I also, get to read comments that can clarify something I've seen, or just add more information. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Jesse, I just saw that you said you respond to all comments. Awesome.so, tell my brother (active military Army ‘76-‘79) So bro .. I live in the only apartment complex here in Neptune Beach. Some of the best surf fishing in the world as 1 guy told me. Next door to Fletcher HS. So bro.. my little girl 28 now, is coming from Seattle the middle of September & we like to take a surf fishing lesson with …? How about someone you know?! It’s worth $400 for my daughter,son-n-law, my roommate &me. I’m locked & loaded for surf fishing. All I need is someone to help an old guy learn ti use my gear. Please, if you know anyone willing to give us an unhurried lesson I would be very grateful. Is there a surf fishing club I can possibly join? Hey brother, thanks for taking the time to read this.
This video landed at perfect timing! Thanks for the good and honest info buddy! And most importantly THANK YOU AND YOUR BROTHERS FOR YOUR SERVICE🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I can second Reseller's Reef, and Tackle Guy rigs and Sputnicks. My (adult) son and I recently started surf fishing some together, and we love to stop by Reseller's Reef for gear (and advice). Thanks for the videos - it is great to find local info like yours. Thank you (and your brother) for your service to this great nation!!
Most people don’t even have a cart so the fact that you have a basic cart to go surf fishing is a very good start and people that pay thousands of dollars for surf guards are idiots. Get one that suits your needs and that’s all you need my friend.
Yea that is the ideal way, but if they are biting it doesn’t matter how you hook it. The fishbites last a long time on the hook too and you can’t take them off without damaging it.
Super video. I'm new to the Atlantic Beach/Mayport area, transplanted central New York bass fisherman. Working on outfitting myself for surf, intracoastal, and river. Just bought 3 Penn Battle lll's: a 3000 and two 5000's, good to know I made a good investment.
I go to the beach with 2 Okuma Rockaway 10 footers, 1-3ounce lure weight. My other two rods are Penn Prevail 2, medium heavy, 2-6 ounce lure weight. I can throw lures or go for whiting and pompano with the Okumas. The Penn Prevails are for throwing past the breakers and can handle large fish. I fish out of Pensacola florida so we dont have a lot of current. I try to keep it simple.
I love the vids. I don't have a surf rod and reel yet but I will the next time I come down from North Alabama. I appreciate all the information about what yall recommend. I am on a budget so I am searching for the best bang for my money.
Another brilliant video! 35 years military and civilian intelligence; nothing succeeds like comparing notes and knowledge. Trust is made, information sharing becomes the principal modus operandi. So, you're on your way to fishing immortality... outstanding. Plz consider tempering your speaking pace; your trying to get us to hear and understand you, you're not coming in at 160 knots or better trying to beat cross wind or wind shear. Relax.
love your videos, but maybe have someone film you when trying to show something. Most of the rod and reels we can't see anything but a section of black rod. But love your channel
Will have to get together to fish sometime as im a 904 local aswell. I have a little 16' jon/flats boat id like to tale yall out on someday. Im not very active on fb but do have an acct ao ill reach out to you sometime in near future.
Sandy Sanders I get where you are coming from but I rarely advertise on the channel and these companies are giving stuff away. I’m not selling anything. Thanks for watching the videos tight lines.
Ok this sounds like weird question, but are there "Beach Carts" that would fit in the back section of a Mini Van? My wife and kids like to fish and play at the beach, there are 6 of us. So right now, someone has to carry the Poles, someone the cooler, etc.. etc... it would be nice to reduce that down on a cart with some nice sand tires. :) Thanks again for the videos, they have been very informative!
Great info , I’m just getting into surf fishing. I actually live on Lake Livingston in Texas but, want to get into salt water fishing. That Reel wicked rod you have. What length is it and are you using a MH? Thanks for sharing. New sub, also thank you for your service. 6 yrs USMC. Stay safe brother. Semper Fi

So am I an idiot?
@@SlotCityFishing no lol your living a working man’s life it’s respected people that spend 1500 dollars on a Deerwood cart is just ridiculously dumb
Great video brother! Lots of info!
Thanks bro
Am new on the surf fishing in JAX and try to find a good fishing spot I only do it for fun and bring fish home for the family.
Did you find a spot?
I thought you bait the hook the opposite of that and the fish bites helps hold the bait on the hook
Yea that is the ideal way, but if they are biting it doesn’t matter how you hook it. The fishbites last a long time on the hook too and you can’t take them off without damaging it.
"Hey hunny, where did you put the scissors?" Hahaha
dude.......

Nice Carl I live in Pensacola now too do you still fish? If so let’s go fishing together
@@SlotCityFishing For sure. Sent you a PM on FB.
*what do you think about using a quick 10X10 pop up canopy to have a spot to set up and sit out of the sun*
We move too often and don’t sit down at all while we are fishing. That does sound nice tho haha.
the OBX, yes. But what do you need with 8-bait in FLA????
David Osband tarpon
@@SlotCityFishing you'll have to show me that one day - never fished for Tarpon.

How can I throw my name in the hat for that sweet new Battle 3? I’m just starting fishing. Live in Jax Beach. I have the Fierce 3 in 6000 and 8000.

Follow up! I did actually! It’s not fancy by any means and yea I’m heading out surf fishing tomorrow!

Does your van have a hitch? If so they make carriers for surf carts. @thesinkerguy on TH-cam has one for his.

I’m not sure the size and power anymore
Great video. What model St. Croix Mojo inshore are you using for tarpon? Is it the 7’6” Heavy (MIS76HF) paired with the Slammer III 5500?
Steve Dupree nah it’s like a 7’
SlotCityFishing I’m looking for a Tarpon setup. So it’s the 7 ft Heavy and a Slammer III 5500. My surf rods are St. Croix Mojos so I like that model.
Yep that’s right.
SlotCityFishing thanks
