I almost didn't get this bag because of the strap sound you mentioned... Glad I didn't worry about it, because I've never heard it once. I can make the sound if I pinch on it and squeeze back and forth like you did, but IRL use: not a problem whatsoever If that helps anyone else
Believe both are great bags Just wonder the new back panel and straps on PLC 20 are fine, thanks for the very important user experience! Sure the way of loading out and mode of carry definitely another consideration! Love the video!
Thanks for this video. I had a PLC 20 for a few days but returned it. I just put in an order for this same Goruck GR1 21L Heritage USA in Oak! Your great photography helped me with the purchase, so thanks again! I have several Evergoods and Goruck bags, but love the waxed canvas for a change.
I cannot say enough about their heritage bags. Just love the feel. I have my 26L Field Tan with me on a 3-day trip currently. I needed the space otherwise I’d have the 21L Dark Oak.

I’m interested in both of them, but regarding the PLC20, those noisy straps, do they make noise once the bag is on your back ? You raised a very good point there. Once your brain picked it up, this is all it is seeing. But I think I could survive that if it is just happening while handling the bag. (Or do I ?) Thanks !
Great question! First, it doesn't make any noise while wearing it, which is great. Second, it has softened a bit over time and is not noticeable. Lastly, it is only when handling the straps and not all the time. I don't see it as a big deal and the overall design of the bag makes up for this small issue. Thanks for watching Boris!

thanks for the review! I just bought dark oak gr1 26L and I´m waiting for it. But I have a doubt: in your videos the color of the bag is more like grey brown color and in the goruck website looks like dark brown! what color is the real? thankssss
I'd say it's mostly brown and a real dark brown for sure. There are certainly some gray tones in it. It's really hard to judge from photos...I think you'll love it when you see it in person.
That's an easy one...1. Dark Oak, 2. Field Tan. I also just got Black...which is cool but nothing like the other two. I also have Sand (my wife's) which looks ok, but isn't me personally. I'm going to film something with all the colors soon.

@@rooks5996 I don't think they would. They would have to remove the pocket because it blocks the handle access. You can't have both the way it's designed.

That Goruck is gorgeous. The crinkly shoulder straps on the PLC bugged me too. I also found the top pocket too small for my needs. Nice comparison!

On the 26L GoRuck , do the side handles and webbing on straps come with it or did you have it added? If you had it added can you do a video on that?
