I’ve become a GORUCK believer over the last year or so, too. I’ve used their training products for a long time and recently snagged the black Slick from Huckberry on a sale. Couldn’t be happier with my Slick
At first, I definitely struggled with their marketing style and thought that maybe it wouldn't mesh with me. The more I've dealt with them, the more I've realized there are a lot of great people there and they are just amazing to deal with. Between them and Tom Bihn there aren't better CS people in the game for my money ;). And I guess, that's why they always end up with my money ha. Glad you dig your Slick!

Amazing video man. Thanks for replying to me last time about the 21l. You were right it’s big enough and great! Looking forward to your 26 l scars goruck review/showcase
Great content! The heritage is dope but freaking expensive. And it is hoped to see the SCAR modification that you made soon, as I just miss the side handle on my Cpl, and desire to send the slick 26L back to the US and add on a handle or two on it.
Yeah, really dig the heritage! I'll let you know when I have the bag back. The side handles are pretty easy mods for those guys so I would assume it's not a big deal to get that done ;)
ONA makes a Clifton that’s $150 and it comes with the camera cube as well. Just looked it up because I’ve been looking for a cube that size for my gr1 to store my x100v and m6. I had been using the “bong bag” by GWA & SupDef but i recently sold it… shouldn’t have done that.
The zippers are smooth because I think they are YYK USA ones (as they used to be on the really old gorucks). I have some of them on my Greenroom136 stuff and they are butter. The Taiwan ones have to be broken in more.
USA made YKK zippers tend to say that on the zipper itself. These just say YKK. In my experience the smoothest YKK zippers are the Japanese made variant which makes sense considering it is in fact, a Japanese company. I have bags with USA made YKKs and bags with Japanese YKKs and YKKs made elsewhere. In my experience the country of origin of the zipper doesn't necessarily always directly relate to smoothness. In any event, after shooting the video I basically came to the realization that the reason they feel smoother on the heritage is that the bag is more structured due to the stiffer material.
@@jtinseoul7041 If there is a small "T" on their side, they are Taiwan made :). I don't buy this whole USA made gibberish myself but my Slick 26L is noticeably better that my Vietnam Gr2 in certain areas.
Definitely agree with the Slick being smoother than my Vietnamese made GR1. The mesh was the one that really jumped out at me. What parts stuck out most to you? The Heritage doesn't really feel better made than the Slick to me, just the material is a lot "denser" I suppose. Still kinda want that top pocket, no matter what I said in the video haha.
@@jtinseoul7041 For me the zipper pulls stand out. They use thicker heatshrink tubing on my slick which makes them so much nicer to grip because they a rigid. The ones on the VN made are way thinner and bend in use. They actually hurt my fingers after some extended use like when packing my GR2. The final thing is the back panel. The USA made have the white one which is stiffer and shall conform your body over time (?) than the cheap PVC sheet the VN made have.

I don't personally like it as much as the 1000D. Had one and returned it. Prefer the 500D on the Bullet 15.
