Nice, approx 8 221 units have been acquired from Beacon Rail by a new open access operator called Wrexham, Shropshire & Midlands Railway. WSMR for short. They will operate services between London & Wrexham potentially starting in late 2025 ish!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I think 12 are being transferred over? Not a clue what's happening to the rest! We'll just have to wait and see! Thank you for watching! 😊
I believe you're correct! CrossCountry have confirmed they are acquiring 12 super voyagers from Avanti once the IETs are fully in service. Thank you for watching!
They are indeed! I'm very happy to see these now! It was good seeing them on test, even better now they are in passenger service! Hmm. I think it's a bit out of the blue, but I reckon it'll grow on me. How about you? What do you think? As always, thank you for watching 😁
@@TheGreatWesternGuy I didn't know that! Yeah, I will say it'll always be more special having seen them on test but it'll be nice seeing them do guaranteed stops and so on! I quite like it, yeah admittedly it is out of the blue but it's a nice name and as you said I'm sure it'll grow on us over time! :)
No doubt these are more comfortable and greener. However unlike the Class 221s, I presume the new units are non-tilting. Might this mean longer journey times?
Hmm I'd say these offer a similar level of comfort, if not slightly better. Whereas as you say these are non-tilting and are currently limited to 110mph. However, I've understood that Avanti is currently trying to get either an exception or an agreement to allow these to reach 125mph. So in the short term, maybe longer travel times, but this should be solved pretty soon as far as I've understood. Thank you for watching by the way!
Beautiful! The VVVF sounds very similar to the Taiwan Railway EMU3000 units! Greetings from TW
Thank you! Oh really? That's really interesting actually? What company are the EMU3000 units built by? Thank you for watching! ☺️
Like class 805, both made by Hitachi!

Oh really? That's news to me! Thank you for the information! I'll have a look into that later! I hope you enjoyed the video!
Great video mate!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😁
Great video mate. The super voyagers will be missed on the WCML but they'll transferred to CrossCountry

Great footage buddy. I rode the new trains today between Stafford and Chester and back.
Thank you very much mate! Ooh lovely! In your opinion, how do they compare to other 80x's? Sounds like you had a good day! Thank you for watching!
@@TheGreatWesternGuy they have better seats than the GWR ones I like both these and TPE Nova 1s. Haven’t tried any others out with living on the WCML.
Amazing
Can't wait to see them.
Oh they're gorgeous! You certainly won't be disappointed 😉. Thank you for watching as always!
Maybe more voyagers for CrossCountry and GrandCentral

Great video mate i recorded this unit at rugby!
Thank you very much! What are your thoughts about it? Especially the chosen name 'Evero'. Thank you for watching!
@@TheGreatWesternGuy My current thoughts about the name is that its rather odd but it fits the train well in my opinion
Hmm I know what you mean! Well, it's quite interesting! I might have to do some digging and see where that name comes from!
Good olde Japanese train
Are they in public service now!?
Brilliant video as usual mate, what's your opinion on their name; Evero? 👍
