You guys weld how you want. I got no problem with flip flops, if you weld well then you shouldn't be splattering everywhere. Angle grinder skills are on point, fab skills on point, creative skills on point. Gotta wear the eye protection though cause it burns through eyelids when welding. Nice project.

Looks good...but did they brace that kink in the chassis at the rear, will it last just butt jointed together. Funny how those 125 engines turn up in everything.
Scooters and mid-sized motorbikes 🏍 were ubiquitous in Vietnam during the 1990s and 2000s. You can find junkyards full of them in every town and village. And all structural steel is produced with zinc galvanizing to prevent rust in the tropical climate.
They were everywhere, just like ATVs were everywhere in America during 1980s thru 2000s. We have motorcycle and ATV junkyards side by side here in the states.
