Yes. I have one from the 80s and have kept it as I kept my record collection. Mine also came with a solution that you put on the "velvet" plus a brush to clean the velvet after brushing the LP.
@@mistyr2661 Gee you guys, chill because it is up to them not your pressuring them. Remind me of my MIL with her demands to move close to her with the kid. I went to another state so that didn't work out did it? So let it rest okay? Please.
paula null wow, settle down, I wasn’t pressuring anyone!!! I just think they are cute together is all and they are fun to watch together. SMH....This is exactly why I never comment on videos. Everything is ALWAYS taken wrong by somebody.
Back in the 1970’s my grandparents would also cover her things with a blanket as well for the same reason. All you saw or experienced are similar to what we would also saw & experience. Some things carry on to new generations. Love your shares!
Hello Renee. You’re hair is really cute. I love how you handle yourself . Your polite and that goes a long way with sellers. I’ve seen sellers tell people you know I think my things aren’t right for you go somewhere else and they refuse to sell to them . The game is really great and the valentines are amazing. Stay safe and well ❤️💕☮️📷🎞📰📜💯💯💯💯💯💯
Not to brag but my mother was one of 46 in her all girl catholic school class and was STUNNING! that 40's book of females brought back that memory of my mother's class! Priceless! She was in the high school class of 46.
Hey Renee, greetings from Alabama. I just recently found your channel. I really enjoy watching. Just trying to catch up on your videos. The beret had me fooled too. Looks like it was made to look old. Also agree on not invading people’s space and knowing how to avoid making inappropriate comments in public especially to people you don’t even know. Looking forward to your next find you post. Thanks for sharing.
The RCA Victor cleaner is for records. I am not that old, like your photo album, but I also got name cards when I graduated highschool...1972. Great video, I can't get to the fleas, so I am so glad to attend vicariously.
You did good. I am in full agreement with covering your stuff before placing it out. People will just have to wait. Most folks are pretty nice but some are predators and rude but I've found them few and far between. You'll recognize them after awhile as they are unmistakeable!
Loved everything you bought. I have stacks and boxes of paper that I need to sort. Can’t wait to see what I have. Been collecting for years. They have been packed away. We sold our home a couple of years ago and most all of our collectibles. Sold all of our furniture and we bought a class A Motorhome. 40ft diesel pusher. We stash what we had left in our daughters garage. We have been traveling the country full time. So when we get back to our daughters driveway we have to start going through all those boxes. I’m sure they would love to have their garage back. Sorry long post.
Dice can be celluloid, bakelite, ivory, bone or whatever else they could find. Soldiers made them out of lead bullets. You sometimes need a jeweler's loupe to tell them apart. I "do" jewelry so it's easier for me, but if you list bone on Ebay just specify a non-endangered animal as the source. It's generally cow or water buffalo anyway for new stuff, and whatever the artisan had handy for older pieces.
Renee I think the velvet “duster” is for record albums to remove dust from the album before you set the needle on. Like on an old victrola. Which was showing on the other side of the piece. You would put the record on the spindle n then turn it on. Then hold the velvet piece very lightly to the album as it was turning. The soft velvet would get down in the grooves n clean any dust having collected.
Doing this dusting helped prevents scratching as well. Scratching and wear were the two biggest enemies of vintage records. The dirt had to be cleaned off because it was like fine sand and could make the record unplayable.
Renee, I went to one yard sale and got tired real fast looking thru the 3 large tables as it was so humid out so I just bought it all. About 50 lbs worth and there was some made for you. So, keep a look out for a pkg from me soon. Happy Pickin'. Larry
Oh wow! Now that's the way to make a purchase! The last yard sales I went to here were all filled with baby items and children toys... if they would have been from the 80s or earlier, I would have been happy. But nope!
As allways another great find, I love going to flea markets.but around here we don't really have anything like you do.but I enjoy the hunt. I'm not sure if i could handle people going through my things, it is very disrespectful on so many levels. We all need to be mindful of others space. The lady may have been doing this to make extra money, the man that was rude about taking advantage of her I believe in karma .she gave you a very good deal, kindness goes a long way. Thank you.can't wait till you open more trash treasures.
I love the old valentine cards because of the care they took to create them. Some are very deliucate and need to be treated with care. I hope the seller comes to the market again. The .com cracked me up. ❤🐨
Nipper was a dog from Bristol, England, who served as the model for a painting by Francis Barraud titled "His Master's Voice". This image was the basis for one of the world's best known trademarks, the famous dog-and-gramophone that was used by several record companies and their associated company brands.
I remember seeing milk bottles like that at my grandmother’s. They were for non-homogenized milk. The cream would rise to the top in the bubble and you could pour it off to use in your. Thanks for the sweet memory.
I wanted to look more, but I heard him quote a price or two for a few pieces as others were looking, and they were a bit high for me (plus extremely tangled!).
I'm with you on the digging through peoples vehicles or items as they pull in. For 1-People!! We are still in the middle of Covid-duh! and 2, it's just plain rude! We enjoy watching you unearthing treasures! Keep safe and be well :)
Love the lacy Valentines:) I just bought some lace items for Christmas and it reminds me of my Grandmother's lace items. So lovely and delicate...Enjoy:)

I admire you for waiting for people to put out their wares. I wouldn't like people reaching in my vehicle either. I see you were wearing your moose mask today! 😷
The RCA Victor dog's name is Nipper. About 10 years ago my brother got a dog and named him Nipper after the famous dog with the gramophone and he is now the most spoiled dog I've ever seen and is dearly loved.
I guess we know why you like Green Renee, very complimentary to you. You look nice in that shirt. Totally agree with you about the man at the ladies valentine table. Show people some respect and they will appreciate it and do likewise in return. I'm with you on the feeding frenzy thing- I hate it. Here in the UK we have car boot sales which are the equivalent of flea markets and the same thing can happen here. Like you I cover all my stuff up and keep my car locked and only get out a few things at a time until they back off. I think it is just rude and disrespectful to start poking through someone's stuff when they have not had chance to set up. If someong asks me a price on something that they have pulled from a box without my say so I tell them a ridiculous price -that usually makes them back off.
I really dislike it when you do have that crowd of people, someone wants to purchase something, and I haven't had time to close my car's trunk or door, so you can see them in there looking through boxes. I find the blanket to cover up things does work well and glad I'm not the only one that does that!
lol Rene, I don't blame you if you don't say anything, because actually it is none of our business. I really like to see that you two go together to some of the things, and are good friends , and enjoy the same things.
Rene I am so glad you have the good sense to wear a mask. I am absolutely appalled by the number of people at the Flea Market who are not wearing them. Please take care.

I really liked the valentines and the tiny Parcheesi game. I haven't played that since I was a kid.
