I wouldn't necessarily call K-Town as a secret in Manhattan, certainly not to the Asian communities and the people who work in midtown. The food there is just amazing! To be fair, I've also had some of the best Korean BBQ in Queen's, too.
I had no idea there was a Korean neighbourhood as big as this in nyc. Really interesting! Thanks for showcasing. I will have to make it out there oneday!
Such a great channel you have here. I have been subbed for about 2 weeks and have watched everyone of your NY videos. Looking forward to watching the other ones as well and hope to visit NYC soon for the first time. I'll know what to do after watching your videos. Proud member of the Barrio!
Great video, Jon. When I walked though K-Town on my visits, it was hard to get a sense of what it was like. This was informative. If you want to do a Part 2 sometime, there is interest.
I learned about Manhattan Koreatown from a book called The Sun Is Also A Star (you should definitely read it btw) and wanted to check this place out. And to my pleasure, this is as beautiful the book said it was.
Just stayed in Koreatown in July with my family and loved it there! You missed Grace Street Coffee and Desserts on 32nd. AMAZING place. Lines always out the door but soooo good. Great video as always - helped me a lot when planning our trip!
Planning to go to koreatown and im rewatching this video for tips. Still cant believe Ben is gone. But life has to continue. Ben would love to see Jon get even more bigger youtuber
The South Korean bread fish looks very interesting. Bon Joo 35 is my favorite restaurant in Koreatown, and I highly recommend the Korean Army stew if you decide to do another tour.
It's called bumokbang. Not whatever that non Korean koreaboo said. That guide guy literally made everything up in this video 🤣...from how to eat kbbq, to pronouncing Korean things, to making words up for Korean foods
Been by there a quizillion times never thought to stop. Called my Korean cousin and told her let's go check it out so we have a date for the near future. New York is currently (October, November 2021) not letting anyone enter establishments unless they're vaxxed.
I used to work around there couple years ago,i miss it,haven't been in awhile,i was so surprised the first time i discovered the neighborhood in midtown of all place.
I had no idea there was a Korean neighborhood in New York. That H Mart looks really cool! Nutella in a fish? That sounds so yummy! I want to try that! That karaoke bar looks like so much fun!
I love these sort of places. I have often said if I was emperor of America. I would force a entire Korea/japan/china town or something. To relocate and fill in 10 square miles around my house.
Really enjoyed this video…and your voice is a heck of a lot better than mine!! All of your videos are very informative. I think if I ever visit NYC again will hire a local tour guide to find all the hidden 💎🇨🇦❤️
Loved this video! My friends and I are coming for a week during Halloween, it’d be amazing if you did an updated fall activity/fall post quarantine video if possible! Big fan and love your videos :)
I was there pre covid; it was a good time but not nearly as happening as it looks now. With outdoor dining and Korean culture blowing up it looks significantly more than dynamic and busy than before. I'll have to visit next time I'm in NYC.
Omg! My boyfriend and I were in Korea-town earlier that night you filmed! It was our first trip to NYC and we went to Food Gallery 32 on Monday (our last night there)! We probably walked right past you guys! We love your videos!
So many great places to see and stuff to experience, planning a trip to NYC but knowing there will be so many things missed is torture! I'd love to take in a sporting event while over there. Massive fan of football in my home country of Scotland. I know you were heavily involved in sport as a career. Have you done any videos on attending sport in NYC? Thanks, Gordy
Love K-Town! And Little Italys..... Lets keep getting vaxxed, taking precautions and soon well be back to normal. Fingers crossed for this winter and fall!
FWIW, my surgeon friend told me a high percentage of his colon cancer patients are Korean; must be something in that red marinade, kimchee, and their meat-heavy diet. One reason I only eat Korean occasionally.
HMart in the city like apartment - compact 😂 Got to go to ones in Queens where most Koreans live. Karaoke on other hand one of the best in the city - per my experience can even get party of like 20 people 😀Big props for singing on cam! 👍👍
Fantastic tour John, it’s places in NYC like this that the world should know about. This is why New York is special because of the multi cultural melting pot vibes. 👍🏻😉🤗

K-Town got so expensive. The food is great.. But not worth the prices these days..
Ben needs to open up his own recording studio with those vocals!
😂😂😂🎤
My favorite place to go in New York since I was a kid. The culture just always spoke to my soul.

Korean town is one of my favorite places to stroll around and eat in the city. Korean BBQ is the best.

Jon you need to do a video with Dave and Xioma!
Just went to NYC. From Kansas. Never knew anything about Ktown. Definitely in the plans next year when I come up ! That Korean bbq place ? Wow! 😋😋

The shrimp chip is so good.
Please come to Korea Village in Queens, more quiet than Manhattan, but always open. I’ll show you around!
Definitely on my wish list
Aww my favorite shop in the food mall closed years ago. It was called bian dang.
what a vibe!
Great tour. Never really stopped there. Too bad. I was usually in a rush to get from MSG or Penn Sta. to somewhere else.
Next time!
This makes me want to visit New York so bad now.
Planning my trip to NYC and Koreatown right now. :-)
Loved this video! My friends and I are coming for a week during Halloween, it’d be amazing if you did an updated fall activity/fall post quarantine video if possible! Big fan and love your videos :)
That nutella fish bread looks like it's worth the trip alone!
As Korean i didn't think about visiting k-town when i was in nyc, but after this video i think i should have visted there
I could see how you wouldn’t necessarily think to but you should! So fun
Maybe not now but a couple of years ago the party would be carried out into 32nd until 5 or 6am. If you like karaoke it's the place to be
I love Koreantown, i need to go there again. Swells video
So cool video🤩
Has Ben taken some lessons from Joe Cocker?🤣🤣 Great stuff!!! Just to see Jon *singing* was worth the pity. And KTown is amazing.
This was awesome! Loved the karaoke 🤣
I was there pre covid; it was a good time but not nearly as happening as it looks now. With outdoor dining and Korean culture blowing up it looks significantly more than dynamic and busy than before. I'll have to visit next time I'm in NYC.
Asian culture *
Another great video! Have you ever had a food you didn"t like and admitted it on camera? Just curious. Have a great weekend!
Balut
Omg! My boyfriend and I were in Korea-town earlier that night you filmed! It was our first trip to NYC and we went to Food Gallery 32 on Monday (our last night there)! We probably walked right past you guys! We love your videos!
We totally walked past the freestyle rapper and the bull mascot! That was such a lively night!
On sweet caroline i think every viewer went ba ba ba with you too😂😂😂😂

The last street festival I went to in Koreatown was in October 2019. So good. Oh yeah, Sweet Caroline is my go to karaoke song too 😊
The Korean BBQ looks amazing! We need to try it! -S
FWIW, my surgeon friend told me a high percentage of his colon cancer patients are Korean; must be something in that red marinade, kimchee, and their meat-heavy diet. One reason I only eat Korean occasionally.
Jon everything's looks delicious.
Ben grabs microphone
“Lemme show you why they call me Amazing Ben!”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ thanks for the vid. Do you get any "fuss" when filming indoors, say from the staff or customers? Here in London it's almost impossible
Not too much!
Lmao so funny to see David off his channel
I will be attending Six the Musical tonight. Might have to stop by KTown for some BBQ after the show. :)
I'm on my way now to Korea town
Hi, David sent me and I’m glad 💜💜
I Love KTown 💕💕💕
one day i’ll go to new york and these videos get me so excited to visit
HMart in the city like apartment - compact 😂 Got to go to ones in Queens where most Koreans live. Karaoke on other hand one of the best in the city - per my experience can even get party of like 20 people 😀Big props for singing on cam! 👍👍
needed just a few drinks
Don't worry about your singing voice Jon. You sound great regardless!
🤣🤣🤣
Sweep Caroline! 🧹🧹🧹⚾️😅
03:41 are those the prices for cocktails? Like, how many? I mean, even for whole bottles, that's pricey!
Good 👍job and it is nice to see that there are all different races and food going on and that everyone should come together ❤
Loved the video
