I love that you put the chef under a bit of pressure by asking them how they get to that price point. I mean let's be honest, sometimes the best food can be really cheap. My favorite by far comes from my own garden.

Back in the early 90's I worked at The Paris Cafe in lower Manhattan right across the street from the old fish market. The foot rail around the bar was a steam pipe so the fish mongers could warm their feet while at the bar. I would get off work at about midnight and go to the market to see what they had for tomorrow's special. Very cool for seafood. Ah-✌️🐟

I love how sonny isn’t intimidated by such high class dining. He is always himself but he always asks such good questions and carries himself so well. And then I the same day he can get a subway for lunch like a regular person.

He says he respects life/food then talks about throwing food in the trash if it's not cooked to his 2-Michelin star standards. 17:32 "You f'd up, now you can throw it away." 🤡He's a pretentious hypocrite

You know why I like this show?
Besides the cinematography and cultural insight is the host. Self proclaimed not an expert. Humble beginning, embarassing at times, but real. Like he walks into a cold environment and says 'i feel like im gonna die'. The literal honesty. Those jeans are way too tight tho ha

Astoria Seafood? Nice choice. Astoria Seafood is well known and damn good though I also like going to the Egyptian Abuqir nearby as well.
I've heard great things about Saga also. Only been to Crown Shy several floors lower.
