Riding along on that man’s motorbike and saying hello to all the other folks on bikes riding past was so cool. Everyone just seemed to want to say hi to the weird bald white guy! I quite like the never ending kindness that Bald seems to encounter along his journeys. Is it because he’s always so casual and friendly with everyone he meets? Is it because the vast majority of humans are actually friendly and nice? Who can say. But I hope that you continue to travel and meet nice people.
The majority of humans are friendly, especially to visitors. Its not just because bald is nice, makes effort with language. People are kind to the likes of backpacker ben & even prats like, me! Travel with a smile & the world will befriend you & buy you coffee. FAST!
The people of Pakistan are some of the most friendly people you'll meet. It's not a coincidence that out of all of his vlogs, the people in this vlog were some of the friendliest we have seen.
Hey bald parts of Pakistan you visited were next to border with afghanistan and iran as expected to be rough being border cities like detroit near canadian border or hamilton of canada.i am also surprise as to no visit or showing cities like lahore islamabad skardu hunza valley and only country in world with most 8000 plus meters high peaks and biggest glacier outside antartic region. No mughal history and how British colonialized and oppressed people of this region. This was not complete and actual picture of pakistan. Even this was Ben's third visit to Pakistan, he got so much love in pakistan and probably have dozens of videos showing the beauty and hospitality of this land. On the other hand communism seems to inspire you and what it did to the people during that time. World know about Stalins barbaric era. Before partition pakistan india being one country were very prosperous and wealthy however when British came over to trade but then backstabbed bringing military and colonized india. During more then 100 years under colonialism British seems to gutted this region by trillions of dollars in today's wealth. One more thing if you Google Dharavi in Mumbai india is the biggest slum of Asia. Also want to mention how British responsible of millions of death during partition by providing no security and backpacking entire resources before partition causing bloodshed and anarchy. Till this day Pakistan and india suffering over Kashmir, thanks to hard working British people who divided this country. Also want to mention that thanks to your country that whole world is dealing with issue of Hamas Palestine and Israel. Please do not glorify colonialism and communism.

Bald is my favourite youtuber and let me tell you why.. 1. This man has wide knowledge about the history of place and he knows how to explain it in details and emotions 2. He is not cocky and respect the culture of that place and knows the customs and cultures No ads,no shorts just pure content
@@kevintheminion1497That was part of the point man, he didn’t need to go through Darien in order to reach Mexico. It is about the journey and documenting the roughest regions.
Wide knowledge hahaha - just because he knows a bit more than you doesn't mean he has "wide knowledge" As to the language - he repeats the same words over and over - in Sindh they have their own language, and the same in Baluchistan and by his own admission he doesnt speak either; he knows some Hindi which is similar to Urdu
When my wife and I escaped from Russia in 2022 from war and mobilization, we were going basically nowhere - no exact plan, city or place to stay. We just knew we had to cross the land border to Kazakhstan, and that was the most detailed "plan" we had in our minds. And the exact person who inspired us to go to such daring and unplanned journey was Bald. We've been watching his videos for a long time, how he chose places to go to without even knowing where is was and where would he stay the night. After all these years, I can say that it worked great, although it was hard back in 2022, when emigration flow was so intensive. But we still stay away from Russia, until the damn war is over. So thank you, Mr Bald, for being a source of inspiration and adventurousness.
I found your channel after you and Timmy crossed the Darien Gap. I love raw journalism like this, it's like I'm experiencing it firsthand with you. Thank you, would love to see more adventures with Timmy!
Yeah. I think most B+B followers are surprised he teamed up with the backpacker again. Timmy was a legend on the central America adventure, but perhaps he needed a break from this extreme Youtubing.
I made this journey (albeit in the opposite direction starting from Quetta) literally 25 years ago and it's amazing that nothing appears to have changed at all. Still rugged as hell, still amazing.
That’s what happened when you don’t know the area.. it’s like a kid who just do whatever he/she wants because he/she’s excited and doesn’t care about the danger.
Tourists don't go to unsafe border areas where militants and terrorists could kidnap or kill them. Pakistan is a large country with so much to offer in terms of sight seeing and culture. Ben should go to Punjab, Sindh, KPK, or Gilgit Baltistan regions that are safe to travel.
Why risk life for the sake of content when you already know it's not safe to travel to the border. There are so many other places to visit in Pakistan. Good that the authorities sent them back to Karachi.

To be honest we Pakistani people would never like to visit such dangerous places. These places are extremely unsafe and under attack by the terrorists almost every day. Life is so precious so do not take risk for youtube.
My family along with 1.2 million Hindu Sindhis did the journey in the opposite direction in 1947,getting into the train from Quetta, shikarpur,Rohiri,Sukkur and other towns of Sindh to Karachi to take a boat from Karachi port to kandla port in Kutch and then onwards to various parts of India. Bald doesn’t know how important this video is for so many Sindhis across the world who will never ever be able to physically see Sindh because of political reasons. This route had huge historical significance and Ofcourse a lot of sad stories of people suffering and losing their homeland and becoming refugees. P.S being a Brit,Bald could be more proud and aware of British history. He keeps talking about going via “Sukkur “ . The Lansdowne Bridge over the Indus at Sukkur was one of the great engineering feats of the 19th century. The longest cantilever bridge ever built, it had to support the load of heavy steam locomotives. The bridge was inaugurated in 1889 and show’s British engineering genius even 150 years back- still standing-bald missed the opportunity to show it! My own family for centuries and beyond were staying on the banks of Indus in Sukkur where this bridge was built.
I loved this comment. I wish you could visit your ancestral lands once again. Because these bonds are much stronger than we think or put to words. And they can't be severed easily because of moving to another place. There's a book called "from Quetta to Dehli" by Reena Nanda. It's a good read for someone who moved to India from Quetta during the partition. Best regards from across the border.

Is it because the vast majority of humans are actually friendly and nice? Who can say. But I hope that you continue to travel and meet nice people.
The fact that he speaks their local language makes people kind to him I guess
