I love biscuits and gravy in the wintertime. It reminds me of winter camping. I love your presentation, and I agree with what you've written on your about page. It's all about getting outdoors. I appreciate you taking me along. I got your back too 🤙🏼
Just what we need up here in NW Wisconsin to go along with our snow and cold. Looks like you had a great road tip. Looking forward to more of your cooking.
The Dutch oven biscuits and gravy casserole looks delicious! I have the 12" Lodge Dutch oven and I love it. I love the recipe and will have to put it on my to-do recipes list...I make homemade pepper gravy the same way as you, but, I've never tried using Worcestershire sauce to take away that bit of raw flour taste and I will be trying it. Thanks for sharing and I enjoyed the video! Bundle up and stay warm! I hope you and your family have a blessed New Year! Hit the sub!👍
The key to any good country gravy wether its sausage or bacon is browning the flour first. It renders so much more flavor and doesnt taste like wall paper paste😂😂🤣
Biscuits and gravy... it's not a dish we are familiar with here in South Africa but it looks awesome, we definitely going to give it a try. Just a quick question, these biscuits, are they pre manufactured? If so could you share the brand (or something that it is similar to), so we can do some research as I've never seen anything along those lines in stores around here. Thanks for the great videos!
These are refrigerated ready to cook biscuits. If you cannot source them then scratch made baking powder biscuits work as well. www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/baking-powder-biscuits-recipe
Looks great!!!!! I wouldn't think there was anybody like you in all of Chicago. Leave me your address and when I'm in town next time I'll stop by. I'M only in town once every five years. John T an iowa farm person.
Happy to sit down with a fellow Iowan any time! Let me know when you are in the area next and we can figure out an easy place to meet. I think you would be surprised the diversity of folks living in the area. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Funny coincidence. Cast Iron Wednesday's Monthly Challenge for January 2022 is Biscuits and Gravy,th-cam.com/video/Q2FoFTdcBYg/w-d-xo.html, so this is being added to the play lists. That looks awesome for camp cooking. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. Stay safe and stay warm
@@dickinaroundoutdoors8609 There are not a lot of rules. I am subbed to you so I will see your videos and put them on the play lists. Challenges are optional. Any thing cooked in Cast Iron is good with us. Does not even have to be posted on Wednesday. Put a #castironwednesday on it and you are in. Do you have a name we can call you? Thank you for the reply
