    Great video and discussion. I'm a month into mine and still peeling off the layers of this onion. You answered a question I had about equations vs. measurements, and I'm glad it's not just doing pretty math.
    I went all in to get the clubface impact data. It's incredible that it can figure that out from behind the unit. I've tested the accuracy with shoe spray and it is spot on. I'm still exploring the spin data and plan to do some controlled shots with stickers on them and compare range balls with my play balls, and maybe get those special Titleist balls as well.
    I have just figured out how to get the alignment on the outdoor range. It was hard to pick the tree I was aiming at. I also found the feature where you change the tee height of the ball up to 6" so you are dead on it.
    I'm a 71 yo senior and all the metrics agree with my old Mevo, a couple of smaller units, and a couple of simulators I've used except my swing speed. I'm usually 91-93 mph and I'm at 86-88 mph on this unit. The ball speed (125-128 mph), carry distances, total distances are all similar, but the new unit is giving me a smash factor of 1.49-1.51.
    I've already used the features to develop a 4-5 degree Angle of Attack with the low point at 3-4" behind the ball. And focusing on that has improved my ball striking because I feel I can hit the ball about 1/2" higher on the clubface on purpose. The heat map shows 8 center hits and 4 toward the toe, so now I know to work on that :).

    Sean, your content is great and you certainly come across as trustworthy.
    I echo your praises of the Mevo+. It is an incredible amount of well thought out technology, at a reasonable price. It is mind boggling how much you get for the money! I would love to see FS address the setup issue in a future product. I am in the market, but it is strictly for range use (other than putting and chipping). I've yet to stumble across a video of someone setting this up on a range, mats or grass. Perhaps, you can do such a video to alleviate those of us who are on the fence about the Mevo+ ?
    At this point, I am looking for a Uneekor Eye Mini. Unfortunately, Uneekor thought it smart to increase the Eye Mini by $1k to push folks to the Eye Mini Lite. :/
    So, it really is either I feel comfortable about the Mevo+ setup in terms of reliable data or I wait for UEMini to go on sale. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    Thanks again for your content.

    No subscription/ hidden costs is a HUGE win for me. I have enough ongoing bills that I don’t want to pay a manufacturer just to “keep features unlocked” that’s just profiteering…

    Thanks for the review. I'm using MEVO+ on an ipad, connected to a TV, hitting into a net. Would the E6 Graphics be significantly better using a PC and still connected to a TV? They're just ok now. Wondering if it's worth the investment. Now I see info about APEX for E6 but PC only.

    For indoor simulator use with Mevo Plus, can you use Titleist RPT ballas or just Titleist RCT balls to provide more accurate spin data?

    Dear Sean, Other than loss of access to a few E6 courses. What other functionality would I loose if I buy Mevo plus & subsequently buy the pro package & face impact add ons vs purchase of limited edition. The former option allows low initial investment with upgrades at my pace. Thanks.

      Totally. Those extra/different e6 courses are the only thing you'd miss out on by not getting the Limited Edition. Or well that, and the different design - but I can't imagine that's much of a factor.

    Ok… question time, Sean! I bought my Mevo+ 6 weeks ago, gutted my garage and set up a simulator and just this past week I was hitting balls. You mention that the device needs to be on the same plane as the ball. Instructions say do not set up a “valley” between the device and the ball. So in the set up they have the question on how high is the ball sitting above the ground (with a no more than two inches above the device disclaimer). My ball sits on a hitting mat and the device sits on the concrete with the offset being about 1.5” for the set up. Do you still get accurate measurements the way you do it? Would you suggest I set the device up 1.5” and don’t worry about the “valley” effect? I’m still in the process of tweaking HOWEVER I find the device to be INSANELY accurate. I’m interested in why you didn’t set yours up the way it suggests.
    Thanks for the video!

    Will the original Mevo+ work with a PC or must I have the 2023 version?

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It should work with a PC, but to get the FlightScope PC software you'll have to pay a $99 upgrade fee - whereas it comes for free with the 2023//Limited Edition versions.

    Ive had the mevo + now for 6 months. Agree with all your positive comments. Im very happy with the results, very happy also with no subsciptions. That is a real winner in my books. I have the space which was great as im left-handed and trying to play with both lefties and righties with a side on machine doesnt work well. I dont find setting up or connecting to devices an issue at all. But im using at home in the same space. I have it marked out on the floor. My criticism is with putting and chipping. These arent very reliable at all. A regular scenario is 2-4 metre put which i can do in real life given the distance from hitting mat to net. But the sim has me making a 20m put off the green. Or a lob shot chipping beside a green that i hit in to the top of my net but sim shows 1.2m ball flight off ground and because of swing speed instead of a 10m flop shot i hit a 40m stinger. So its not perfect but still does a pretty good job

    I have a question for you about flightscope vs Garmin r10. The room I’m using for my simulator is narrow and it appears to me that it interferes with the Garmin R10, would the Flightscope work better. They both work from behind the ball, that why I’m thinking it would be the same issue.

    Great video. I'm looking to upgrade from my Garmin R10 to the Mevo+. In your video, you mentioned you need 8' from unit to ball and then the same 8' from ball to impact net. However, the indoor setup instructions say you need a minimum of 13' distance to the impact net. Have you used it with only 8' of distance to the net and found it to still be accurate? In other words, is a distance of less than 13' (as stated in the manual) sufficient? I don't have 13 feet, so I would appreciate someone giving me their experienced feedback before I pull the trigger and make a purchase. Thanks!

    • @demiankloer337
      @demiankloer337 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm using 8' from mevo+ to ball, and 10' to the net. Everything seems accurate, iron distances and shot shape are spot on. although I always find Driver to be a little bit shorter than I see on course. But the ball data for driver seems accurate. Ie. it will show club and ball speed, spin etc, that would yield a 250 yard carry but will show a 230 carry, etc. But I can live with that.

    I have a question that I can’t find the answer to anywhere, with your knowledge maybe you’d know. I have the original mevo + from when it first came out, very interested in the pro package and possibly down the line the face impact. Is the original mevo still a good option to be able to do that, or would it be worth it to sell off and buy a newer released one?

    • @joemiller6001
