Correcting a few things. While the base $199 model is still fantastic, there's a lot more to the $249 carbon model. It's not just the carbon support spars and plates in the arms, or just the larger motor and esc / radio combo. The gears are also CNC hardened steel instead of alloy castings, and the body is polycarbonate, instead of PVC like on the lower tier. Also, the 65 amp ESC is mentioned as being waterproof and capable of 4S. The 45 amp model has no mention of water resistance (but may yet be) and as far as I know is not 4S capable.
TLDR; Don't even think of getting the base model over the carbon. The math just doesn't math. Even though it's the best $200 RC there is, the carbon is just so much more yet for the money.
That’s what made me go for it . I’m kinda worried . Shipping says it’s getting close . In the meantime There s a new Kraton 6s which seems crazy big to me . I m afraid to let it rip for two days now , lol .
If you want a little more punch, even with the stock battery, click the side button once for the higher tone. The same one you hold to enable gyro. This increases the amperage and punch by about 30%. This thing is a wheelie monster out of the box when you know how to use the radio! This doesn't change the top speed, only the speed in which you get there and the speed in which you deplete the lipo. I run full punch. The increased air control is such that you can back or front flip it easily. Be careful, it seems to increase the brake amperage too, as I can come to a rolling stop nose wheelieing at half brakes with it on. Don't slam the brakes on full or you will cartwheel it.

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife Throw in a larger battery that delivers more punch AND hit that button, it's a monster. Speed pinion is easily pulled on the carbon without heating the motor BTW. Easily has too much power at that point, which is how I like it. Haha
does this "high punch mode" stay on, or you have to enable it every time you turn on the car?
@@user-yl6bh1xi8l Just tested the radio. The high pitch tone happens with a single click of the side button on the grip. It happens after a power cycle of the radio as well, even if you powered it down last with it on. So yes, you must click the button each time. I toggle it on and off a lot though.
Same here ! Pissed off ordered the carbon fiber version and the 3s,4s battery for charger with it .. got a email 3days later saying order was processed and shipped ! Trackec it for a week coming from China flown to airport for delivery..got email saying orde will be here today! Waited and it did come today alright! The rhlaaro charger but No DAMN TRUCk !!!

This thing is a damn good deal. I did some pricing, if you were to get a granite blx even at $260 on sale, to add upgraded diffs, metal shock towers, metal shocks, it's another $200 for that. The granite has plastic dog bones i think, it can't handle much more power, you'll have to upgrade the whole drivetrain, more money. Too get it right, you'll be $500 into a granite. Where this Omni is a pretty good value out of the box.

Holy crap! This Zee battery gave it soooo much more punch 🥊 bro, wow! Yes, you are saying it right now… better battery way more power. And two hours of run time and practice and this truck is just unbelievable bro! Chill out with a cup of coffee and get into learning the remote it’s overwhelming at first… but just look up the things you use, learn them and it gets easier bro. For me at least. And the zee battery gives you good air control 👍🏼

If you watched the whole video you would have known what I found out
You tightened the rear shocks only? So when you hit the little “hump” jumps that your front tires , being softer now than the rear that you tightened, absorb but the rear is tighter now and will push the rear end up higher than the front every time. You have to tighten the front too on this size truck… I’ve been playing with it all day🤔😁. Mines so dialed now at 20% gyro.. shocks just a smidge harder than factory, wow! Wait till you dial yours in. Turns and all

Its a shame they didnt make this actual 1:10 scale as that would've fixed most its shortcomings....better placement for esc, better battery support and a normal size steering servo because this uses some kinda odd sizing

Definitely put on larger pinion gear on it. Ive already planned to stack 2 batteries in series for more punch and runtime. This batteries Definitely holding it back

Nice run while it lasted I haven’t used the stock battery I happen to have have 4 batteries that fit & have more cells I didn’t realize you could adjust the throttle I was thinking someone must have some small fingers.😂 now I know. I have the 17mm wheel hubs coming but I’m still not sure if the stock wheels are compatible with some kind of a knock out. Today I finally got it out for a good amount of time & nothing broke & it ripped pretty good it’s solid I noticed. I thought I broke it the right rear wheel wasn’t turning no matter what I did so I didn’t force it I picked it up & finally after cleaning & shaking it out a big rock fell out that was logged in it after that it was right back to ripping around. For some reason I noticed it flips over easier & doesn’t seem to like grass but in the dirt & asphalt it handles well & is easy to control without the giro. The light on mine just turns on with channel 5 or 6 I don’t remember but I just press it & it stays on press again it goes off. Maybe just a loose wire. One of the You Tube channels that got one had the rear diff installed backward 😂 It’s early but I have no complaints I thought I liked it solid black but once I added a lot of the stickers including the light ones it came to life. This is my second Rlaarlo I have the Desert Buggy as well the one that looks like a mini Lasernut & it’s solid & super fast. Looking forward to follow ups on the Terminator. 👍
I showed at the end of the video what was causing it when you hit another button its shuts off check it out incase you do the same yeah its a fun little rc definitely needs more juice
My first impression of this car out of the box with the carbon fiber version was that it felt like quality. It had smooth acceleration, and I thought the speed was fast enough out of the box. They did include opinion. They did include a 3SUSB battery charger in case anyone needs to know. It’s like the ones HBX or MJX gives us yeah first impressions all around really nice. As long as electronics hold up for me I’ll be happy.
I was considering this but was able to get the granite 3s blx when it went on sale for $270
You can assign any channel to the lights. And you’re like me and didn’t read the manual… it tells all the settings and crap. Gyro is just for road basically
I ran another pack just dedicated to testing gyro settings. I highly disagree about using it only for road! What I landed on was 20 100. The only issue is that it jitters a bit when reversing, but this vehicle reverses slow and you don't do it often so it's fine. This setting, at least on mine makes this thing a guided missile. It rally slides, and also automatically turn rate limits at speed making it very hard to flip but fully able to turn sharp when going slow. If you get it sideways and let off the wheel it just straitens itself out perfectly. I tried this across jumps, dips, sand covered concrete, braking to a slide to check for unintended turning and more. It goes right where you aim it and at high speed across chattery left and right bumps the high speed left and right steering of the wheels keep the vehicle level since they themselves are offering gyroscopic forces. Also the pairing button on the lower right toggles the gyro forward and reverse setting used for boats etc. For cars like this, you want the black triangle indicator pointing to the upper right, or the car will just go in circles.

I hope I like this thing . Might order some rear diff cups and heat treat them harder , prob 55 hrc . A couple people are having rear bones popping out . I popped out some rears on another car with ahead on collision full speed on my first car . Does this car take 4s ? I’ve been using silicone lubricant dry and a compressor to blow it off the plastic . It’s some work on a Kraton 6s but worthwhile imo . I ain’t never had an RC this big . Today was the first day it gone and dirty on an old baseball field and I pressed me with just a 4s battery . This thing scares me a little tbh .
Its not rated for 4s so your risking your esc if you do. So far I have not broken anything I dont land on power or a lot of wheel speed and I brake easily those tend to cause the issues you were talking about. I have another video I put a bigger 3S pack in this and it made a huge difference and its safer than 4S
Yeah I ll be using 3s zee 2200 50c shorty for the rlaarlo but the Kraton 6s V5 BlX loves a 6s battery . I’ve had it almost a week and ran 6 or 7 packs through it and I m impressed with the 6s power . Used a hoovo 6200 mah 100c . The rlaarlo should be here in the next few days , hopefully arrives in working order 🙏. I m all tapped out at the moment but I m happy with what I have .
Load rear springs, do ur diffs there dry, top shocks off, gyro is trash and is in reverse have to fix it on transmitter, and has droop screws installed to lower them, amazing truck mine is on 4s now

I tumbled my roller on 6s at 72mph and couldn't break it. Found the GNSS 25 yards away.
They seem tough I did break a shock bolt recently on a bad landing and bent the wheelie bar a bit but honestly surprised it was not worse. Rc Guy garage has a mount for the gps I have not lost it yet since using it
I'm unboxing mine right now. I got a shorty pack high volt 3s 11.4v 4200mah 120c graphene soft pack for $55, its a little bit wider then the rlaarlo pack, it fits but it sits on the inner side rail, im probably gonna have to pad it so it doesn't damage the soft pack. I'd rather go that route than move the esc.

It's a solid rig. I just ordered 2 4000 mah 100C shorty packs for it rather than moving the esc. Didn't have any with the archaic xt60 plugs anyways and didn't want adapters. It's quite a bit smaller but noticeably heavier than the Gorgon. The Gorgon with a 4000kv motor and 100 amp esc on 2s is matched about evenly speed wise but on 3s the Gorgon pulls away. It's almost funny that my 2 cheapest rigs are the ones i drive most. I walk by $1000 plus 5th scale trucks to grab those 2 to drive.
4000mah 100c by who? I don’t want to relocate the ESC either. Bought 2 CNHL 2200/70c packs but you only get 15min each

Hi, I can't seem to find a video how to use this radio transmitter, and the instruction is very confusing too. Do you think you will make a video of all the features this Rlaarlo transmitter can do? My steering is reversed; don't know how to fix that and don't know which is the upright button if it lands upside down... and which button is the light? Great video btw, thank you! BTW, I heard from some people said they mess up plugging the light in the receiver, it is supposed to be plugged into another channel. Take that with a Grain of salt.
I mentioned at the end of the video I found it on channel 5 but one other setting has to be off for it to work. I dont know how to work it so I don't think I can make a video lol it is confusing

Hi mate great video. I'm not having problems with the lights staying on but everytime I turn the gyro on my front wheels start shaking. So I leave it off. I've got to put thicker centre differential oil. Looking forward to more rlaarlo omni terminator videos 👍👌😅
You need to turn the dials down to something like 40 30 or so and work your way up. The sensitivity and speed of the gyro is causing feedback from the motion of the chassis when the big wheels turn left and right, so it shimmies like that. Enable gyro, turn knobs down, press left button, hold right side button, test. Repeat until the gyro behaves the way you want. This ESC and radio had gyro reverse too, so if you hit the wrong button it will make it so that the car instantly goes in a circle. This is for boats and planes etc. with rear steering.

I ordered the first day. It came last Tuesday. In between the Redcat Vigilante was released. I ordered it that day and got it 4 days later. Same issue, I was much less excited about the Rlaarlo. Once it came in and I drove it I was happy. I think it's a great little truck but I haven't even taken time to install the wheelie bar yet. My favorite thing is I just don't worry about this or my Gorgon. I don't care if they break. I know they'll be cheap and easy to fix. Therfore I can have more fun driving them. I love my Redcat and 8s Outcast exb and it hurts my feelings doing things that will probably break them. Also hurts my back if I have to carry they heavy, awkward asses back to the truck, lol.

Out of all those budget friendly RC’s Ralarlo seems to give you the most for you money. It’s a pass for me, but like you said everyone has to start somewhere. I still think it’s better to just save up a little more money and go with a more reputable brand IMHO. Great review thx again 👍

I am going to ditch the remote put it on the dumbo simplify my life with less remotes lol it is a cool feature I wish more would do that rechargeable aa batteries dont have the same punch

nope no way to get a different brand to talk it has a gyro that works better you just loose the ability to turn the lights on and off to me thats not a problem you can always buy a module if it was.

@RC-Closer1313 surprised you missed the little Easter eggs in the 2 Syncro vids. I had the remote for the terminator in the unbox right on the bench and you coud see the Terminator for a second when I brought it back from the speed test lol nobody picked up on it

Your not seeing the punch bcus you need to tune center diff , wouldn't do wheelies put 500k n center now almost doing standing backflips on 3s stock lipo, diffs are dry
I put a better battery in and it does wheelies for days also tighten the rear shocks it will wheelie its not all about the center diff

After they screwed me on the warranty with the maxx slash I bought the pro boat sonic wake from Horizon its a beast I got 55 out of the box with it and its readily available

Well look at ur differential cups driver rear mine are failing already after 3 day 5 packs tops, and yet to bash it, Rlaarlo sending replacements as courtesy but we know the wait on that
@@bryangadson-me9eh they said we are the guinea pigs for this truck… we will find the issues, complain to Rlaarlo, they will upgrade the weak spots and send us replacement parts till we are happy… the truck is so fun bro… if I need to upgrade a few things… no big deal. Yes, the wait sucks… but a little birdy let me know that Rlaarlo sent a ton of spare parts out to local distribution houses… so that’s cool if it’s true… let me know. I’m off to order some upgrade cups… thanks for the heads up

I hear the rear diffs go bad quick , wheelie bar wheels bend , shock tower and top shock screws are prone to damage . Needs higher protection to keep the shocks safer
