I tried to talk about Wuthering Heights in a recent video and it is sooooo hard! The depth of the characters, the abuse, the revenge, the supernatural, the narrator within a narrator within a narrator...I could go on...it is just so highly underrated imo. My favourite book ever. It's so sad that Emily Bronte died before writing another book and also so grateful she wrote this one.
I totally agree with you about the writing. I wrote in a review that if the author can make you compassionate and interested I'm these despicable people that's some brilliant writing!
It's crazy how much of a difference age and experience can make, in reading or rereading! That's such a good point about the trapped feeling of Wuthering Heights 😮 "Rich" is fantastic word for this one. So so glad you enjoyed this one!!
First, that is a GORGEOUS book! Second....I have never actually read this book...I actually don't know that I've read anything by Bronte unless it was for school and then I promptly forgot about it. I might give this one a whirl next year and will bounce thoughts and questions off you if that's okay with you. For some reason I just think I won't understand it. 🤣🤣
Indeed! I loved this book so much...because of the unbridled passion Heathcliff and Catherine (Earnshaw) have for each other! When she died..he literally banged his head into a tree! The passion and the intense feelings are so real and the passion is really put into these scenes of the book!
I am participating in the year of Brontë and am looking forward to reading WH. I tried several times before but, as you say, was not in the right mindset for it. I suspect I am going to enjoy it this time. Thank you for your review.
I know this is alittle old but your video was the only one with no spoilers! This is my first “classic” if you will and I find it almost hard to read I love relating myself to characters and I’m finding myself hating it but I can’t put it down! Lol you really helped me put some puzzle pieces together because the book has so many people and conversations it’s hard to keep up! ❤️😂
Just bought a two-in-one book that has both Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights in it. Never read either. It made me laugh when you said that everyone is just horrible. Lmfao. I enjoyed this review vid. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Excited to read it now.

You made me want to read Wuthering Heights again.
The Bronte women were amazing.
I wasn't a big fan when I first read Wuthering Heights but then reread it a few years back and LOVED it.
Yes! I definitely liked it better the second time!
That was a dope quote. I would read it just for that lol

I really enjoyed this review. I might end up giving this book a try. Happy Reading!!!
Thanks for the review. Coincidently, I just got Wuthering Heights from the library. I was surprised when I found out it really isn't a love story.
Healthcliff was not a great person, but his love was perfect and completely unfailing and I loved him for that.
@@msrichardsreads someone so imperfect can love so perfectly. The devotion was so much!

I promised myself I’d read this book finally this year but I still can’t bring myself to do it 😂 love your review!

@@msrichardsreads Me too. Lol. 😆 I feel like it might take me on a wild, traumatic ride. Lololol.
I'm planning to read it this year. I hope it's not too emotionally heavy. Haha
