If you walk trough the three gates on the side of the shrine, an event will trigger after a few seconds that calls a fake crash message and then pulls up that image, it's a hardcoded feature and that image is supposed to shut down with the game after 10000 seconds. As for where the image is from, I have no idea, the image is also interestingly titled "yabai".

I cannot fathom how that “ghost image” is just one image. The depth-of-field is off, the lighting seems inconsistent between the “wall” or whatever it is in the foreground and the wall in the background... It’s either just a fake or it’s an example of double-exposure (most likely the digital equivalent and not a real, twice-exposed roll of film). It just doesn’t look like a singular photo that one could capture with a camera - or, at least, it doesn’t look like what it claims to be

I've watched a full playthrough of both Utahonotatari games that was partially translated by the person playing it. The image of the woman actually does appear in the game besides the error. At the end of the game the main character finds a tape left by their caretaker(?) and in the tape, the image of the woman appears. It's either meant to represent the deceased mother or the evil spirit haunting the player.
TikTok Time Traveler: It's from an Escape Room in the area called "Breakout Bar and Escape Room" in Australia. It's a transmission from a game of theirs called "The Future." Somehow the pre-recorded message from that game was transmitting over a radio frequency and the radio station got in touch with the company so they can figure it out.

Just my two cents: I do speak and read Japanese and can confirm that the translation at 4:45 is mostly accurate, if a little clumsy in English. The Japanese is simply common Windows error messages garbled with edgy horror tropes. For example I'd translate line 4 (データが破損している可能性がああやめて下さい) as "Data could have been damaaa- Please stop!". Other lines are written in a way that it's hard to guess in Japanese where the error stops and the horror thing starts, like the "turning/warping" line. I'd translate that as "Internal file- Your face from when you were 3 years old is turning around" (that's just literally what it says. 内部３の頃のお前の顔が曲がって) The window icon at 3:30 (small red wolf icon) tells us, that this is not in fact made in RPG Maker but in "Wolf RPG Editor", a very similar but otherwise unrelated game making tool that was a lot more popular in Japan than overseas. Nitpicking maybe, but just something I noticed. I love meta horror shit like this and I had never heard of this game before, but I love the use of unsettling images. Will be trying to track it down and play it. Regarding fan translations, I could definitely see myself translating a game like this if nobody tried before, but I wouldn't know where to start with editing and hacking the game's text files. I guess I'll take a look at the files and see if it's easy to do or if I may need some help with that.

The game in the first part, if released past 2004ish, could be an anti piracy measure thing, as their was a Japanese hentai game, that when you downloaded it and played it for 5 mins, a message would pop up locking you out of your pc, basically making you publicly humiliate your self on twitter for your file sharing sins, and made you up load photographic evidence
Something creepy that has happened to me or well my mom was when I was in 3rd grade I was playing on the computer. I thought of searching my name up to see results, nothing really interesting. But when I searched for my mom's name I found an old picture of her on some sushi website. I told her about it and she had didn't know what was going on. She just called the place and they removed the photo.
RPG Maker dev here! I'm pretty confident that the error messages were real. When RPG Maker wigs out *that* much, it can pull random strings of dialogue and text from the actual game and log them as an error as it offloads memory. I'm assuming the engine glitches out for some reason (overloaded?) and when it regains stability it randomly progressed the player onto a Common Event (the image of the woman).
@@phatdonutbear7117 Yeah, most jumpscares in RPG Maker games are common events, meaning they're coded to randomly appear after a trigger is called. Assuming most jumpscares in this game are triggered at once, I can only assume it called the common event for the dead body image as the game crashed.
Update: If the glitch ISN'T real, then it is most likely a timed event that was coded to happen if you were in the right place at the right time in the game. But I've seen something like it before in my own RPG Maker games, so I'm confident that it's real.
I think the first one might actually be a safety measure to make sure the player doesn't get out of bounds in levels, so whenever the player leaves the level's bounds, it runs an event that mimics a game crash screen to signify that what the player just did was wrong and not allowed. So is it intentional? Well, yeah. Did the player who discovered it find it the way it was meant to be 'found'? I don't think so. Who really knows, though.

I think the advertisement is likely of a burnt woman, maybe she’s bringing up awareness of people who’s faces are burnt. That’s just my theory. Radios are weird, my guitar teacher back in the day would use the pickups on their electric guitar to play radio station broadcasts. Have no idea how they made it happen but it was really cool.
Back in 2014 I bought a guitar to start practicing and it came with a amp from the store (Mind you that the guitar and the amp were very cheap) and whenever I plug the guitar in the amp, I could hear the local radio from my city very faintly, even if I crank the amp's volume all the way.So perhaps there are some electronic components in the amp or guitar that can tune in to the radio signals? P.S. I live in Brazil
One time I had a really worn down instrument cable that started picking up radio signals and blaring them thru my amp. I know it’s the cable cuz the moment I switched to a new one it stopped. Electronics are nutty.
It's funny, there is a part of my town where someone is hijacking a radio station and broadcasting their own music. It's actually fairly simple to broadcast radio stations, hell I had a small Bluetooth FM Transmitter in my car before I got a headunit.

I live really close to it, about 10 miles or so. I was hoping go exploring there sometime but now it’s been replaced by a Shoprite and Starbucks, and what is left looks more like bomb ruins than a creepy old psych word lol. The origins of the deadbody glitch image could be a heavily edited version of a frame from The Impossible, a 2012 film based on a real life tsunami that occured in Thailand.
The one ‘nurse’ photo kind of looks like those CPR dummies, but put through some blur filter. And since it was in a hospital it would make sense for the dummies to be there!! Maybe someone dressed it up in ‘old clothes’ and waved it around to look spooky. Just my opinion.

I've watched a full playthrough of both Utahonotatari games that was partially translated by the person playing it. The image of the woman actually does appear in the game besides the error. At the end of the game the main character finds a tape left by their caretaker(?) and in the tape, the image of the woman appears. It's either meant to represent the deceased mother or the evil spirit haunting the player.

Just my two cents:
I do speak and read Japanese and can confirm that the translation at 4:45 is mostly accurate, if a little clumsy in English. The Japanese is simply common Windows error messages garbled with edgy horror tropes. For example I'd translate line 4 (データが破損している可能性がああやめて下さい) as "Data could have been damaaa- Please stop!".
Other lines are written in a way that it's hard to guess in Japanese where the error stops and the horror thing starts, like the "turning/warping" line. I'd translate that as "Internal file- Your face from when you were 3 years old is turning around" (that's just literally what it says. 内部３の頃のお前の顔が曲がって)
The window icon at 3:30 (small red wolf icon) tells us, that this is not in fact made in RPG Maker but in "Wolf RPG Editor", a very similar but otherwise unrelated game making tool that was a lot more popular in Japan than overseas. Nitpicking maybe, but just something I noticed.
I love meta horror shit like this and I had never heard of this game before, but I love the use of unsettling images. Will be trying to track it down and play it. Regarding fan translations, I could definitely see myself translating a game like this if nobody tried before, but I wouldn't know where to start with editing and hacking the game's text files. I guess I'll take a look at the files and see if it's easy to do or if I may need some help with that.

Even thought I am a native English speaker, I could sense that mans fear as the dead body glitch started to happen, the text stretched to the top down to the bottom of the screen and you could hear the uneasy ness in his voice, humans are incredible at sensing others fear and it’s cool and scary at the same time

Something creepy that has happened to me or well my mom was when I was in 3rd grade I was playing on the computer. I thought of searching my name up to see results, nothing really interesting. But when I searched for my mom's name I found an old picture of her on some sushi website. I told her about it and she had didn't know what was going on. RPG Maker dev here! I'm pretty confident that the error messages were real. When RPG Maker wigs out *that* much, it can pull random strings of dialogue and text from the actual game and log them as an error as it offloads memory. I'm assuming the engine glitches out for some reason (overloaded?) and when it regains stability it randomly progressed the player onto a Common Event (the image of the woman).

@@phatdonutbear7117 Yeah, most jumpscares in RPG Maker games are common events, meaning they're coded to randomly appear after a trigger is called. Assuming most jumpscares in this game are triggered at once, I can only assume it called the common event for the dead body image as the game crashed.
Update: If the glitch ISN'T real, then it is most likely a timed event that was coded to happen if you were in the right place at the right time in the game. But I've seen something like it before in my own RPG Maker games, so I'm confident that it's real.

I think the first one might actually be a safety measure to make sure the player doesn't get out of bounds in levels, so whenever the player leaves the level's bounds, it runs an event that mimics a game crash screen to signify that what the player just did was wrong and not allowed.
So is it intentional? Well, yeah. Did the player who discovered it find it the way it was meant to be 'found'? I don't think so.

I think the advertisement is likely of a burnt woman, maybe she’s bringing up awareness of people who’s faces are burnt. That’s just my theory. Although looking up “woman with burnt face add” does give you a distorted face but I don’t think that’s it, one because it brings up that it’s a he in the video and two no long hair and creepy dark room. Radios are weird, my guitar teacher back in the day would use the pickups on their electric guitar to play radio station broadcasts. Have no idea how they made it happen but it was really cool.
Back in 2014 I bought a guitar to start practicing and it came with a amp from the store (Mind you that the guitar and the amp were very cheap) and whenever I plug the guitar in the amp, I could hear the local radio from my city very faintly, even if I crank the amp's volume all the way.So perhaps there are some electronic components in the amp or guitar that can tune in to the radio signals?
P.S. I live in Brazil
One time I had a really worn down instrument cable that started picking up radio signals and blaring them thru my amp. I know it’s the cable cuz the moment I switched to a new one it stopped. Electronics are nutty.

It's funny, there is a part of my town where someone is hijacking a radio station and broadcasting their own music. It's actually fairly simple to broadcast radio stations, hell I had a small Bluetooth FM Transmitter in my car before I got a headunit.
I think the ad with the burnt lady I a british PSA on fire safety, specifically in the kitchen, There's a performance of what to do and what not to do and then the camera pans over to the woman in a record in studio whose disfigured appearance is understood as a cautionary tale

I live really close to it, about 10 miles or so. I was hoping go exploring there sometime but now it’s been replaced by a Shoprite and Starbucks, and what is left looks more like bomb ruins than a creepy old psych word lol. Honestly, the urban exploration nurse pic seems pretty fake to me. I don't think the face is upside down, just shrouded in shadow. You can see her mouth and her nose is in shadow, and her cheekbones. I think it would be super super super easy to edit the photo.

Its interesting to see goose boose grow, I joined about 4 years ago (although I don't remember the subscriber count like everyone else...) It has been a fun ride seeing his contont evolve and his channel grow as such.

the last one reminds me so fucking much of when me and my cousin were driving , i was playing music off my phone via cassette aux cord and all of the sudden the music cut out and what sounded like radio chatter came up. something along the lines of “yea these assholes in traffic need to get out of the way” and then music started playing again. was very odd moreso then scary
