The girl biting into the fish is actually Stephanie dill from survivor Thailand. I'm a crazy big survivor fan and that was Stephanie's audition video, so it was crazy seeing her in this video. Nothing sinister or dark, just a crazy girl trying to get on a reality show
You might be the first person to figure this out so far, I'm looking into this but I can't find any uploads of Stephanie's video online, due to how old it is. Lots of Survivor fans testifying to how crazy it is though!

Hey Goose! I was looking up Punish babies and i found… a incredibly concerning playlist, it was literally called baby torture, videos of babies crying, not being fed, even saving themselves from drowning, I..feel like you need to know this.

All around, when you look up “Punish babies”, a lot of gross and disturbing stuff shows up.

So, for user9472, the room with the locked door is from an escape game called Escape Game: Inn, made by Goro Sato. I play these kind of Japanese escape games all the time, and recognized it instantly. Don’t think this helps with anything, just filling in the missing info.

Hey Goose. Hope you're doing okay. It's 3:28am where I'm at. Our neighbors house got broken into half an hour ago. They broke through the study window. We think the same people were in our yard last week, they stole my grandmother's purse. Luckily no one was harmed, but still it's frightening... Needless to say I won't be sleeping anytime soon. I got your notification and just thought heck yeah, least now I have something interesting to watch. Your narration is super calming too, so that's a bonus. Keep well man, and stay safe.

Firstly I just want to thank everyone for all the likes and comments. I wasn't expecting it, and to get so much suoport and concern from total strangers honestly restored my faith in humans a little.
Luckily nothing else has transpired. We've spoken to our neighborhood watch, and they've confirmed that there's a "gang" operating in our area that they've been trying to catch. These guys are calculating, so we've bumped up our security a bit. Our walls already have barbed wire around them. We've adjusted our front gate so it can't be lifted. We have outside beams installed, and locks on the gates leading to the areas where my grandparents stay. As always were vigilant, carry peper spray and a knife whenever we go out, and we have a pepper pistol as well. As long as the perpetrators aren't heavily armed, we'll be okay. It just sucks to live in a place where you can't trust your fellow man, and on that note can't depend on law enforcement. Anyway, thank you all again for your kindness. Wishing you all the best. Stay safe.

The family guy portion I actually saw lots of those at the end and they freaked me out; especially considering it wasn't just compilation channels. I have a very vivid memory of one of those 24/7 family guy full episode channels doing it along with having a green screen of a young girl in the corner like the man. I think those channels are gone too considering I saw this happen around quarantine when those channels really started to take off.
They're for anti copyright, if you guys didn't know. I do kinda wish they weren't little girls though.

Hey Goose Boose, my father worked as a police investigator for a long time and a little while ago he told me something that might be useful to the family guy compilations channel. The creepy thing about it is that usually when cp (you know what that is) is being uploaded to something or distributed, then they will put it in between gay porn or even just random shows in order to hide it from people just skimming it. He doesn’t talk about it anymore because of what he’s seen. Either way it’s really creepy to think about.
personally I think you have a point, it looks like the family guy comp channel seems to be some kind of cp channel with those poor girls in it, dont you find it kinda odd that it linked to some random channel with probably random videos to cover up the ulterior motive, thus being seen by the donation playlists, I personally think that by donating you could get in touch with the creator and see what those unlisted videos were, but who knows.

It always comes down to the sound quality. Some of these extremely creepy videos have this stunning heavily processed audio and as a novice audio engineer I’m very aware that it took some time software and know how to create it. At that point the illusion of it being some unbalanced Norman Bates type goes out the window.
What sort of software and processing could be used for this?
@@JamangarYT there's a plug-in called Digitalis where you could kind of do to audio what the my happiest days creator does.
@@JamangarYT sorry for taking so long to reply. I have tried them all including a Pro Tools suite with a digirack they were all just fine but I need something that can capture quickly for fleeting ideas and Ableton Live let’s me do that in way that after awhile feels like second nature. You can be a structured fundamentalist or you can go full on drugonaught experimenter. Ableton allows you to rip everything up and gives you enough tools to create a cohesive new thing. I love it because it recreates that feeling I use to get in my musty old garage. Hope that helps

I LOVE Mini Mysteries! As someone who has been interested in internet horror topics for a long time, it’s hard to find new stuff that feels fresh, or something that hasn’t been covered to death. I also appreciate the honest critique that goes in tandem with each topic, since I’ve gotten a bit tired of people covering everything like it’s always super scary and hot shit. I know the system has been hot on the ass of this channel, but I sincerely hope that can be eased up; losing this series would be tragic. Unfortunately things happen, and if they do, I will still be happy to support this channel and whatever direction it takes. I look forward to watching this

The image of the woman with the fish in her mouth is from Survivor Thailand. A reverse image search brought up ONE post of a still from the show except in the video, the logo of the show and a banner explaining that this was the woman’s audition tape is cut off.

Despair is such an emotional video. It conveys the emotion of despair so well and to be honest it has become a comfort video for when I'm at my lowest

my theory for User9472 is that he might have mirrored the images and videos, making them more difficult to reverse search them, and then he might have used a cloaking algorithm, distorting the faces and then changing the original audio for ""scary"" music and lowering the quality to make them basically impossible to find the originals unedited unless you get unbelievably lucky. because there's no way in hell he was able to get so many people to consent to make so many different weird things just for his niche youtube channel.
the family guy one is extremely creepy to me. i've seen their channel so many times in my recommended and watched some of them but never seen them little girls ever
This channel is really special. I think because it's orientated around creepy content it gives off a similar vibe as spooky stories told around a campfire, and Goose is a wonderful host. I really cherish these videos and I particularly love Mini Mysteries. Thanks Goose, for bringing us these lovely videos.

lost media has grown to include literally any media, youtube videos, livestreams, even like written stuff like comics and books sometimes. people will also talk about lost physical stuff like toys with it and while it isnt media so it cant really be called lost media it is still definitely an important thing to archive

12:45 I saw those two images and immediately thought “Is that from Cannibal Holocaust?” Checked the video out and apparently I wasn’t alone in thinking this, but... I wasn’t right either. Apparently there is not a clue whether the photos are from a movie or not. I hope it’s from a movie, because from how *real* it looks, to the fact that the woman in the video looks... weirdly similar to a real-life girl who went missing about a decade ago (whom I cannot think of the name of right now, I’m sorry), is just... really concerning. Might just be me, but still. The channel is def an art project, but the photos have to come from somewhere.
It does have a Cannibal Holocaust-vibe. I wonder if it's from a movie in the same vein? I can't recognize faces, but the scenario does seem really familiar.
Here's a secret: I wrote down in my script that it looked like an image from Cannibal holocaust, but after scrubbing through, I saw nothing. I didn't put it in the final video because I was afraid that the very mention of Cannibal Holocaust would've demonetized the vid

This reminds me of how you used to be able to evade youtube's copyright system with the "copyright deadlock" e.g. include clips from at least two different aggressive rights holders. So if you were showing Nintendo footage, you'd add a random Michael Jackson song to your outro so that two competing copyright claims would get filed, and the system would just leave the video alone forever in copyright limbo because neither corporation would ever actually follow up. I'm not sure if that exact approach still works, but I'm raising the example to explain the kind of thing I'd expect to see a vulnerable channel use for copyright evasion--just tacking on extra footage doesn't seem like it would work.
Given that Family Guy's audience skews heavily towards edgy thirteen-year-old boys though, I really _wouldn't_ be too shocked if this is just a kid adding random footage of girls he thinks are pretty.
he does have a business link in his video descriptions, i'm not interested enough to look into it myself but that might clue us in on his identity.
All ARGs are unfiction, not all unfiction are ARGs though. So when in doubt, just call it unfiction. To make it an ARG though it needs some kind of a game (so, a decent amount of puzzles and such, a couple random incredibly basic ciphers don't count) and something which many people seem to forget about, *player interaction*. Alongside spanning across multiple different mediums (twitter and youtube, and what not).
I was thinking the same thing. For an ARG to be entertaining & effective, it needs to involve the players [usually] pretty significantly. I haven't seen one like that in years. Watching a handful of videos and solving some encryption puzzles isn't as immersive vs. getting weird texts, things in the mail, having to read maps and go somewhere at a certain time, etc the whole point is supposed to be "it's like another reality has crept into yours". I haven't seen/heard of a legit ARG that was actually playable in a long time
@@lostpelican1883 Nah there's been loads. It's just the ones that get the "mainstream" attention are webseries/general unfiction that people call ARGs. ARGs *need* player interaction, it's not optional.
But also your point about getting texts, mail, etc, all that is super hard and expensive to do and co-ordinate (not even mentioning the data collection/safety side) aha. So yeah those will be a lot rarer. However there's many MANY other ways of doing player interaction which do happen often.

By all means please suggest me some to check out (even if they are no longer active), since it's been annoying sorting through tons of art projects or crappy "blair witch" type clips. I think you're right, some people seem to confuse 'analog horror' with ARG.
@@lostpelican1883 There was/is a company that essentially had the monopoly on high-cost ARGs. But the guy in charge has turned deep into crypto and as someone who freelanced a bit for them, it wasn't the best experience overall so I don't reccomend them anymore for ARG content lmao. They did the major phone calls, mail, live in-person events etc stuff for multiple years, but slowed down after the pandemic. And honestly, not really seen anything after them? I've been considering using the phone tech I learnt from them for an ARG of my own, but the costs are mad. I think the pandemic kinda just slowed it all down unfortunatly, it's harder to do inperson and mailing things out nowadays and online only is just a lot easier.
@@skylarkblue1 That's one of the people I was thinking of. I'd imagine that besides cost, it's just extremely time-consuming. One could theoretically create a decent playable ARG with limited cost (ie, using a lot of mailed letters/emails, having players complete tasks they could prove completed through a cellphone, 'secret' chatrooms, etc) but you'd need a whole team of people who are good 'dungeon masters' that actually have the time to spend doing it, which I think would be quite hard.
would love for you to cover the channel "Ask About EVENTS" and all of the sister channels. they seem to have some automatic system set up but the videos all have an unsettling inhuman vibe.

There are so many Family Guy Compilation Channels that have random footage of children at the end of their videos. Not just little girls, but full fledged random and weird footage of random children. I was always rather creeped out by the random ending with those children.

Dark Souls 1 leaned more into that fantasy side with it's music, and felt strangely ethereal sometimes, which makes sense, as Dark Souls 1 leaned the most into the Dark Fantasy aspects of the series
Dark Souls 2 has a more nostalgic feel to it, like a song you try to remember but can't remember entirely, which fits well with the themes of the game, identity and the loss of one's identity
Dark Souls 3's sound track is somewhat more bombastic and orchestral than the other two, which makes it feel like a great conclusion to the series, like the team is putting all of their emotion and passion into this final endeavor
I like the new format of introducing each mystery, but god damn it’s so much more terrifying than that abrupt exorcist cut to a black bg with red text

With the update at the beginning it's not uncommon for TH-camrs to take down private/delete their videos after they get covered by another TH-cam channel because they're getting too much attention it's happened for the few channels covered by lazy masquerade before
the family guy thing was actually something i wondered about for a while. me and my bf sometimes get drunk and watch them together for shits and giggles and i remember one vid actualy having that girl in the pink shirt at the end. i didn't really think anything of it but did see it as really weird

Something to note about the family guy channel, Pixels After Dark got a copyright claim on their video, which leads to believe that the censorship in the videos isn't because of some rule change, it's because of copyright, so for whatever reason, they NEEDED those clips in the videos, just not for copyright, and they were willing to censorship them just to keep them their
11:59 Kinda reminds me of this youtube channel called Memory Hole where they would post weird vhs videos. In my opinion, It felt like they took all the obscure videos from America's funniest home videos and uploaded it to their channel. I don't know if that's true but some of the videos do remind me of a video you might see on AFV just with funny music and the host talking over it to make viewers comfortable.

pixels after dark also did a video on a channel called wonknu wonknu, he pretty much explained everything that there was at the time but there's been new developments very recently. the channels name has been changed to something else, most of the videos have been deleted, and the ones that remain have missing titles, grayed out thumbnails, and have been censored by the youtube editor with the blur tool, and more recently having the audio be changed to youtube library music. the creator is alleged to be dead and its all very strange, not many people know that all of this is happening and it's very concerning

I love weirdcore so the Haruto Ido videos are just nice . I derealize a lot so I can’t watch them often but they are enjoyable .
That channel shown in the "LoFi Horror" segment is really fascinating to me from an artistic perspective. I'll have to see if I can find it later since I've always been fond of the sort of visual style that the creator used. Plus, there's a special charm to things that are just bizarre for the sake of being bizarre.

Hey idk if this’d be someone you’d be particularly interested in covering, but if anyone remembers Nicholas Fedorov, the crude 3D/2D animator akin to ratboygenius or Pilotredsun, he is very much still on the internet and it’s very concerning what he is doing, he only makes strange vaporwave-y anime art and music now and posts very weird conspiracies onto his website, much sound a lot like the hollow internet theories or just general paranoid rants
(EDIT: Also I should probably mention that he has been known to send viruses and crap to people, it happened when chadtronic covered his videos ages ago, so if u do end up talking abt him be careful)

So happy to see you finally cover user9472, I’ve been following it since I found it at only about two videos on petite tube and it’s fascinated me since. I believe it to be a weird art project made for the purpose of being unnerving (especially based of the video with the supposed “dead body” that The Sun wrote an article on. That’s gotta just be a weird art project)

not to um actually you but my happiest days is definitely vhs, specifically film recorded on vhs. the static goes from side to side while film goes from top to bottom
lost media is technically any lost data with a audio visual or entertainment element i believe. A book or fanfic from an obscure website can be lost media as much as an obscure television show from before the internet.

Hey goose, I really think you should talk about this channel that I found called "Rex todd". I had gotten two of their videos on my recommended and the titles were just four random numbers. The content on the videos is a picture of a child's picture day photo. And the audio is short recordings of people talking, each video is about a few seconds long.
