You 2 are so fun to watch. Ann, when you started laughing -- not only did Jane laugh but I started laughing also. This was a fun video to watch. God bless you all from grandma Katie in Oregon
I like when Ann bakes because she is clear with the measurements for the ingredients. Thank you for the recipe. Always nice to watch you both. I love the Cookbook.
Was hoping you would mention an alternative to beer and loved hearing about sparkling water as a substitute -will definitely make and looking forward to it. 🙏🏻
I'm going to make this! I can't wait to toast it then make it into Avocado Toast for lunch! Thank You for highlighting this recipe from your latest, and I Love it, new cookbook. I just haven't made it through all the recipes in it yet.
I simply adore you gals ❤ what a delight. I have spent so many quality decades with my children and now grandchildren in the kitchen....whipping yummy treats together...and our favorite memories are the laughter. Rich memories that warm my heart ❤
The video is nothing if you two don't get tickled. This looks like the easiest bread recipe EVER. I made beer bread with my son a vew years ago, we baked cheese and ham into the bread. Just for no reason, he loved it. Eat healthy
I love your book! Thanks for updating this classic quick bread. I love the oats sprinkled on top. I find cheap beer and dark beers work best. Cheers! 😂
Looks gorgeous :) what a great idea to use sparkling water instead of the beer, thank you for the suggestion :D always a lovely time :) thank you so much
You two crack me up! I love it when you get the giggles….priceless!! I’m going to make this and I’m thinking it would be delicious with Hummus or PB Cheese….or both together.
Thank you for explaining "white wheat flour"! I have always been reluctant to use it because of the word white. GREAT to know! I do love you guys. Why are you so tall Jane? Recessive gene I guess. I absolutely love this family!
Love you both so much! I have Covid so I am binge watching your channel-this cracked me up. Looked like you were both "drunk" from the beer when Anne tried to slice the bread. Lol- I would like hummus, sauerkraut and tomato on my beer bread. Thanks
Thank you for the alternatives to beer. As a sober alcoholic, I know that research has shown that the alcohol never fully burns off, so I choose alternatives.
Love you guys thank you for making my day. I am going to make this bread. You could put hummus on it with cucumber and tomato and some broccoli sprouts, or how about peanut butter and jam yum
Hello 😊 I'm french and AT first I was understand Bear 🐻 bred 😅 I'm going to try this beer bread recipe and I'll see a cucumber chickpea hummus or vegetable cheese on it...🙏😋🍀💚🍀🐻
Have try this! I sell famous Tastefully Simple bread. Wanna compare. Always trying new things. Going top it with oats & seeds next. Used stout beer. Best so far is adding spinach & herb seasoning.
GIRLS GIRLS PLEASE do yourself a huge favor by doing this hack with bread you won’t regret it . “Sifting flour for bread recipes is a must-do. Most people just scoop the 1 cup measure in the flour canister and level it off. That compacts the flour and will turn your bread into a "hard biscuit" as some have described. That's because they aren't sifting their flour! If you do not have a sifter, use a spoon to spoon the flour into the 1 cup measure. Try it once the "correct" way and you will see an amazing difference in the end product.”
Made the beer bread tonight and it’s delicious. My husband is a major bread eater so we’re happy to find one that is healthy. I used 1 cup of whole wheat pastry flour and 1 cup of spelt flour and we used a non alcoholic beer. Looking forward to changing up the flours to see what the results are. Has anyone tried this with other flours?
I made this gluten free for a gathering as my daughter has Celiac. Little did I know that most beer is made with barley and so it’s a big no for her. Gluten is sneaky. Seltzer water next time and it will be great. I loved the bread.
This looks like a fun recipe. Can I make a request? Growing up, whenever it got cold, my Mom would make hot chocolate on the stove, using a pan, and milk, who knows what else. Is there a WFPB version of the classic hot chocolate? It's the best thing to drink on snowy days. Thanks!! Love the channel and can't wait to try Beer Bread.
I would love a video on raising plant-based kids. I'm sure you both have a lot of insight on this. I worry kids would have a hard time at school, friends houses, etc on a plant-based diet.
I’m hoping it will make a good tofu, lettuce, pickle and tomatoe sandwich. I use lots of nutritional yeast on the tofu. I’m going to try oatmeal flour and sparkly water cause we have the ingredients and cause my daughter is not eating wheat.
Wonderful! In Corsica they make chestnut beer, you just gave me an idea, although I'm not in Europe currently. The flour could be chestnut too. But your version is already great! I would have it with tahini, or a nut butter, or as you said sauerkraut, perhaps in a bruschetta style with some veggies, olives, peppers, eggplant? Tapenade would be great! I've tried a version of this bread a few times using apple cider vinegar (British style soda bread) and it's wonderful, I added olives so it was some olive ACV bread, it was yummy and quite fluffy of course thanks to the ACV. I'm guessing the protein in the beer make it fluffy as well. Bon appétit !
Hi there, I'm in the UK and bought a copy (already a plant based fan of you both) ... however the book (bought as a present) was not spiral bound (big disapointment!) I'd like to buy another copy but really would like the spiral bound version ... any help? Kind regards, Serena
Love u both. I have your engine 2 cookbook coming today. Ask ur dad why my cardiologist has never heard of reversing heart disease. Maybe they think all the studies and successes are a coincidence 😕. Or maybe the are afraid of losing business
What kind of Jam do you put on the bread without sugar? Also What brand of white whole wheat flour do you use? I am always afraid when I see White that is a marketing trick.
I switched on just to check If as usual certain products are given a push and yes, they do. We also hear from wholefood plant based professionals to not eat white flour and here we go. They do eat it.
This TH-cam channel is part of their business, so why wouldn't they promote their book. And the flour they use is WHOLE WHEAT white flour. It is made from a particular variety of wheat, which is lighter in color and milder in flavor. You are welcome.
@@karlineschrubberstiel i am not talking about the book but ingredients. They advertise ingredients. I watched the video (the beginning of it) and it is white flour. My beer bread is in the oven, and I am looking forward to the first slice! Could I just comment that as 'cute' as Ann is at her age, I find it frustrating that she constantly interrupts Jane and doesn't let her complete her thoughts. It's not too funny in my humble opinion.
Thank you for not editing the hystericalness of y’all laughing when you were cutting into the bread. Y’all make my day!

I Love any type of bread! My fav topping is smashed avocado. 🥑

We baked this with one beer, and one with sparkling water . It was awesome, and super easy.
which came out better?

Hummus. That's what it calls for in my mind... Yum

Excited for the new video! Looks delicious!
I don’t do alcohol but I have non alcoholic beer to try. Thank you. Good with vegan butter after toasting or apple butter/jam.

I've made this recipe before using sparkling water and it was really yummy. Definitely a keeper! 👍🍞😋

I made this and it’s great!! Love that you can smell the beer in the sliced bread!!
Thank you for the recipe! It's super easy and finally I'll have salt free bread!

Yay! Hello ladies & team excited to see today's recipe 😋 😊
I LOVE bread with avocado 🥑 and several cloves of crushed garlic. My favorite!
What about jalapeño pepper bits in the bread?
Definitely going to try this one!!! I would definitely toast it!!! Looks delicious!
This reminds me of Irish soda bread!! 🍞 ❤
Ooooh Ill try this with glutenfree beer and oat+rice flour! 🎉
I have been making beer bread for years - the family loves it 🙂
This would have been good to use for the beautiful kale and sauerkraut paninis you posted the other day!!
I liked it but too much baking powder! I could taste it! I used steel cut oats for the topping and it was delicious and crunchy
Mustard is brilliant on toasted beet bread. Omg try the sauerkraut “cheese” ball as a spread
Thank you 🙏🫶🍀💚🍀😋
I love you 🐾🙏🪽✨

We call beer liquid bread in Germany.
Absolutely “spectacular “ 😂👏👏
I put my nutritional yeast in a shaker, like the one I use for chilli flakes. So handy, I find I use it more often…on many different dishes.
Oh what a great idea! Thank you!
I must make this!
Hmm sprouts n avocado w this bread 😊❤

Tastes so good. What’s the secret to it not sticking to the paper?!
Did you find a solution?
@@ItsPamCakes making sure the paper is appropriate fir the oven temp and cooking long enough.
Can you substitute hard cider for the beer?
I scrunch my parchment paper under running water. It makes he paper extra maleable. I am going to make his yummy bread tomorrow
Do they have a video for Banana bread, I’m addicted to them 👍🏻
Yes they do. 👏👏🌱🕊💚

Open faced kale & sauerkraut!
The bread was hard because there was no yeast. Add some yeast instead of the baking powder and you'll have a better loaf of bread.
Try to serrated knife for bread. It’s easier to cut.
beer bread? Wow - I've been waiting on that, doesn't this go with pub cheese or something? I think of irish soda bread.
Make a pretty good pizza dough
Ya'll crack me up!!
Is the flour stone ground?
Bottoms Up Ann...haha.😂❤
7:13 omg you two will be passed out with all those kegs in that bread pretty soon. This went from tipsy to drunkkkkk lol
Add hummus and avocado

Poppy seeds or sesame seeds
