If David Bowie had a lovechild with the Strokes it'd be Declan Mckenna. What a fantastic artist, and what an incredible album. One of the best artists I've ever heard!
declan's music is honestly one of my favourite things i have ever experienced. Like if people had one artist who wrote music for them this would be it for me, there's absolutely nothing I would ever change about any of his songs or performances, and this might seem ignorant but he is ( in my opinion ) THE best music artist,, well maybe he's tied with talking heads
Great band, Declan isn’t necessarily the most technical of singers and it shows in some of his performances but when he nails it, which is most of the time, by god does he nail it !!! His singing aside, the lyrics are just genius, thought provoking and in some instances moving, i freaking love this album.
It really goes to show that if the songs are good and made with love, and if the musicians try to serve the song and not themselves, the results will be good, even if the technical aspects are not perfect.
@@rodriguezelfeliz4623 tbh on rewatching the live with headphones there were like 3 ‘mistakes’ I think the audio was just too low in the mix to really appreciate without headphones. Regardless the passion and lyricism are perfect
Woah! Dec is getting some impressive control over his vocals lately and he doesnt seem like he has the easiest vocal tessitura to work with, requiring serious skill to be comfortable with. Also, his song has really been scratching an itch I didnt even know I had. When I first heard ZEROS it just wasnt my cup of tea but instead like a drug. Though its not something Id usually want, I got a taste and now Im all strung out on cheesy dance moves in my living room. Its really been a treat to watch him progress into the artist he is and Im definitely looking forward to seeing him grow even more
