Exactly!

YESSSSS
Obviously Tom was brilliant as always, but I just wish the sound engineer had given the bass guitar more prominence, as it’s incredibly central to Tom’s songs.
Agree!
at the beginning was good, then they changed it and started being a crap the sound of the bass (that's my sensation as sound engineer)
But at a concert the bass sound different than in the retransmission
Laps. It’s remixed for the Video. This is not the live mix
I think the bass is there but it's super low. You need a good speaker, headphone, or iem that can go really low and have a good detail.
I'm curious what bass guitar or effect that he use to get that super low bass tone. It's one of the lowest bass guitar tone I've heard.
I think it was good more volume would’ve ruined it listen to it with headphones and if even then you think it’s low I don’t know what to tell you my friend
15:13 "old macdonald had a farm eea eea ohhhh" -some ref we have here/ jazz is the ultimate musical depository :)
hahaha!!!
I thought of 'twinkle twinkle little star" :D
Loyle Carner is simply awesome. I would love a Misch/Carner full album
that would be dope!! I agree!!
Any singer can do Carner, but not anyone can do Tom
Simon Gorton totally disagree on the loyle carner part of your statement.
@@AF-vm6xx i am not saying Carner cannot sing, he has a voice. But TM has the insight to create great songs
@@simongorton3229 you crazy my dude. Need to listen to more Loyle
Tom is out here making music that could’ve been a hit in the 70s and 80s. FUNKY as hell. Whew, I can’t explain how much I love him.
que cosa mas buena, agadable por demas.
Yeah, his music creates Emotions it just has so much soul.
I just absolutely love his music.
Remarkable!
I agree. It's real authentic music that stirs the heart❤
that back and forth between FKJ was amazing
Satisfaction living with this guys like Tom Misch, John Mayer, Mateus Asato, Joe Satriani, Kirk Franklin and some other amazing musicians.
Thanks Montreux JF for all of this years representing this generation with quality and inovation.
lmao you see kirk franklin very differently than i do
I like your list of muscians❤
Going to this concert would have been a priority on my to do list if I knew covid was bout to happen
50:14 the dude was going so hard, his cymbal disappeared
Just saw that. BAHAHA. One of the worst feelings as a drummer.
OMG HAHAHAHA
Why did I finally find out? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I cannot express how much I love this performance... Here's a great big thank you to everyone who made it possible!
Can’t think of a better way to spend my Friday night ❤️❤️
Me pasa lo mismo!
Wensday…
well... a good strip club with a bunch of hookers and cocaine is also not bad
Yes! My Friday after a year :)
I'm not going to compare Tom Misch to another artist but I will share that his music gives me the same feels that: Sade, D'Angelo, Prince, early days of N-E-R-D, Maxwell, Lauryn Hill, Tony Toni Toné / Raphael Saadiq, early days Common, The Roots.... does to me. Let's GO!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
Oh wow my brother the fact you just listed all those artist shows you know quality music ❤
@@alixthefunk Appreciate it brother. Thanks for your comment.
I could listen to a full live band play Big Poppa for hours. That beat is one of my all time top 5
th-cam.com/video/wXNK2refwpY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AnichkaBanichka
water baby straight into crazy dream is the coolest thing tom does with his live performances
That part
That snare is what angels sound like
These guys are on to something, great instrumentals and music composition. who said a violin has no place in contemporary music. I hope these guys bring this music across the pond. I believe they can be the next music revolution, like the Beatles did in the 60's.
Tom already has, and is already incredibly popular in America. It’s a shame that some of our best musicians/singers are virtually unknown in Britain, for example Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Ella Mai, Jorja Smith, Mahalia, Michael Kiwanuka, to name a few.
agreed! i'm ready for the jazz/neo-soul renaissance!!
Some acid jazz acts from UK that 'invades' in the late 80s to early 90s features string section on some of their funky musics. Most prominently Jamiroquai, followed by Incognito and Brand New Heavies.
I came across Tom Misch in 2018 and have been rocking every since , his music is in my playlist rotation everyday now, cant wait to see a live show.
I went to a performance in Toronto. You will not be disappointed!
I’ve never watched a set and been so jealous for not being there live in my whole life
My neck almost broke cause listening to this damn!
You’re listening in the correct way then ;)
Doing the Joe Dart, huh?
Ok? Woke me up out of my sleep jamming!
@@SweetSpotGuitar Had to Google that one, LOL. :D
Lmao same
What a great thing to do, acknowledging the african american contribution to the jazz fest by donating the proceeds to the museum!

The energy Carner and Misch bring to the stage is the best mood there is.
Jordan Raksi first and now Tom Misch. Brilliant
I am not easily moved these days by many things in life, I am happy to say I truly enjoy this music. It reaches me on all levels. Great work and collaboration. I applaud you and all the musicians who joined you on your Forever Journey. I feel young again...
Had absolutely NO IDEA Loyle Carner was gonna be there! What a surprise!!
Came across this video about a year ago and I am so happy I did. Discovered one of my favorite songs, and an incredible band. All of these dudes were aligned and insync for this performance. The sound guys who mixed the levels did an incredible job. You want to talk about capturing perfect performances, this one is up there. I've watched a lot of live stuff in my day, but this recording, god damn man. INCREDIBLE.
Just discovered today…. This sound is beyond DOPE 1/22/24… REAL MUSIC WILL LIVE ON😊🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Clearly influenced by Brazilian bossa nova and samba.. sick!!!
That Jazz solo at 9:00 made me stop dead in my tracks when I was cleaning. That was mad smooth
gotta give props to the lighting peeps for keeping the right mood tho
As Tom's Lighting and Stage Designer, I appreciate this comment, cheers.
@@John.partridge in love with the transition when the drums and the percussion play alone!
Finally we have a proper bootleg of losing my way
Just true, raw talent. No overproduced vocals or effects. Love it!
Anyone who dug the hip hop medley should check out Khruangbin if they don't already know them, they do a similar thing in their live shows.
I took my my two teenagers to see the Tom Misch Gig on Perranporth beach at the weekend. Of all the bands I have seen over the years, it was one of the funkiest and most musically sharp things I have seen, its also opened my children's eyes to the joys of real music by supremely talented musicians....
1:19 - It Runs Through Me
5:34 - Losing My Way
9:47 - I Wish
15:49 - Disco Yes
21:27 - Everybody Get Down
26:55 - Movie

Man you’re the best, I bet you are really good looking too
@@GiuliaAlemanno has a good taste in music doesnt mean he is good looking. but surely his charm is great.
I'M CRYING:(((( miss him in the concert so badly :((((
i agree with you :(
Now anyone can see with their own eyes how groove this boy has !
Wow, what a performer for such young age. This guy's definitely gonna be well known
This one outstanding artist I’m totally in love with him
The tom fill at 3:34 instantly cured my bad mood
One of the best live shows I’ve listened to. Wish I could have actually been there. Good music and saved me from having a sh!tty day. 👍🏾
I wish I could have been there too!
Loyle Carner killed it 🔥🔥🔥
Literally the only thing wrong with this is that I wish FKJ and Tom's solos in 'Losing My Way' went on for a minute or two longer. In ALL other respects just the most perfect live video on TH-cam.
Harry's violin solo is absolutely insane... and great.
I remeber him playing this big hip-hop festival in front of 10-20 people..
way you go tom! montreux Jazz Festival is actually under the top3 to reach as a musician in Europe/WesternWorld
Luv u tom
Tom always looks like a happy puppy
I really enjoyed this video. Was started listening while I was cooking, had supper, am listening again with my wine after kids went to sleep. Cheers guys! 🍷
I was groovin so hard listening to this while editing pictures this evening! Would love for Tom and his Team to come to Australia one day!
Every time I listen to Tom is just makes my day. Excellent all the time, he really gets it. The funk the groove he has it all!!! Like for him to hook up with Silk Sonic that would be mind blowing!!!
I love all of Tom Misch music and his collaboration with other artists.
How did I missed this for 3 years ! Damnnn
reverie is honestly the best piece in toms whole discography, him and loyle make an amazing pair

Tom is at Montreux jazz festival .I lived Switzerland for ten years in town about 30 minute from Montreux.
I miss his concert. I saw his concert in Tokyo. That was like a dream. It was so magical!
Qué joya de concierto!! Esto sí es música de calidad!!! Tom es un gran músico y en directo brutal, se crece!!!
This show has been a steady set in my 'favorite performances' playlist that I listen to while working or studying, and has always distracted me with its magic. Thanks Tom!
The breakdown in Everybody get down!!
What's the saxophone boy's name
@@anacorreia2058 Tom Misch said his name was "jazz"
Saw him live in Brixton🇬🇧 , one of my best shows ever ......

I didn't know I needed this until today. Awesome set. PURE FIRE!!!! LOVE YOU TOM!
Took me way too long to start appreciating Tom Misch. Bro has got the funk, gahdamn!
ahhh finally, my weekend on this pandemic, watching Tom Misch Live for full hour
Goosebumps when Loyle enters. Amazing music for one hour straight.
Okay, but the Old Mcdonald had a farm quote at 14:59.... That was beautiful.

What a great sound for a live show MG! Pure gold! Ppl got to listen to this properly with headphones, mind blowing
Best concert ever. Cannot sit still, have to dance and jump for joy when I hear it!
Absolutely blown away by this, this guy in his twenties but playing like a guy with a 40 year catalogue of music. Love his solos are so effortless but not showing off just keeping in with the music. Proud he is from England. Go on Tom lad 👍
Beautiful tone, Tom!
one of excellent artist of this new generation ;after Pandemia;Long life to Tom Misch!
I've only discovered Tom recently during COVID lockdowns... What a treasure and genius this man and his band are! How is he not as big as as the Ed Sheeran? Love this mans music!
I am crying the whole time
His signature move is called rythm!

Holy shit! That was amazing. Really well mixed too, so props to whoever put this together.
That medley is something else🔥🔥🔥
Such an amazing vibe. Disco yes!
My back finally gave me that satisfying pop I had been needing for days, while I was dancing to this around my house. Thanks Tom. 🎈
Cannot stop listening to this gem of a concert! DAMN.
A friend introduced me to Tom Misch and oh boy I love the groove! I’ve shared with countless friends and they all love him. I’m like the earlier comment I’m not easily moved, but this music take me to another level! Thank you Tom and group for giving it to us! Keep it coming!
I was there. It was just fantastic how it sounded. Just go see him live it’s so amazing!
19 days til I see him live
Definitivamente minha banda favorita… ❤ eu amo a musicalidade de Tom Misch, ao vivo é impecável!
