- Five years ago I bought a 2.5 acre vacant lot in the Mojave desert. The intention was to build a stone age camp and make the desert bloom. But, there has been one big problem...
This is what happened, and what comes next.
@dustupstexas how do you keep people from stealing your stuff when you are 9 hours away? This is my fifth year with my desert land it has been the biggest challenge. Thanks!
i am very sorry about the problems you've been having on your property with vandals and thieves. Sending unconditional love, support and prayers.
Many Blessings! + + + +
@@Invisible_Order Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Good to have a neighbor with a backhoe. Do you have a gun ? Bad guys come back. Graves are easy to dig. The "legal" way never works. Bad guys win..
Yes, very very good to have such wonderful neighbors! Been thinking about carrying, but it is a big responsibility. Would rather use my bare hands. I'm playing it safe while figuring out the response to all the bad behavior. They do come back, and you're always being watched.
My lot is down in the SLVR area and I dont want to leave anything laying around if I'm not there. @@Suburbanstoneage
I really am sorry that people made your dream such a disappointment. It is infuriating.
It is very sad. But, I'm going to treat it like a game and come up with a strategy that may be disinteresting to thieves. Stay tuned!
Im actually getting ready to build a ranch out in the desert of az, Ive been planning for 2 years and security has been one of the biggest things ive invested time in, dont ever let thugs make you afraid on your own land and surely dont sit by while they rob you blind. They are only doing this time and time again because there was no consequence if you get what im saying. Make it very uncomfortable for thieves and they will find and easier target, simply put they are cowards
Thank you, I really appreciate the support! I think you investing in security is a very smart move. Unfortunately, my budget has gone to zero for this land, so I'll be thinking very hard about passive of deterrent. I do have game cams up tho, that has been vital
Love it ,you go girl!
Thank you! :)
No one wants to get shot. Pretty sure some slugs wouldve taught them to go away
True. But I think it is someone different every time.
May be plant desret plants and regular. Vegtable and furit plants. And since you are in the desret you get a lot of sun. You should buy flower seeds. Wait for them to grow and start a flower business.
Great minds think alike! :)
@@Suburbanstoneage yup 🤗🌹
Please stay safe always
Thank you, I'll be sure to do that.

a gun wont help, they rob you when you are gone. maybe train a dog/dogs and fence it in? even a beware of dog sign is often a no go for thieves.
The property isn't set up for animal to be able to stay there, even guard dogs. I'm thinking of a way to make it too hard/unprofitable to steal, while still meeting my needs. Its tricky, but I'm happy to have folks along to watch what happens!
@@Suburbanstoneage yeah, not worth it/stealable is probably best:) good luck, they cant take the views
@@breezywilson760 lol thank you, and you are right, they can't steal the views! I might use that one. I appreciate it!
All you need is water and everything will fall into place.
Shhhhh, don't let the secret out... :)
Roughly speaking, what area is this?
Oh sorry what happen to you. You should carry.
I think about that a lot and probably should.
@@Suburbanstoneage that goods please think about your safety more dear. 🌹
