My DIL lost her job yesterday, managing two veterinary hospitals, people can’t afford to take their animals in like they used to, she’s was making $82,000 a year, this is a huge hit on her family!!!! College graduate!

Since my husband died 6 years ago, I’ve squeezed pennies to double down debt payments and paid off everything but regular like utilities and vehicle upkeep, groceries, etc. Now I’m making dry meals in jars, meals in bags and canning and preserving. Better to be prepared and not need than to need and NOT have it. 🙏🙏🙏😏
Im doing the same thing. I'm even buying canned frits and veggies, pasta, rice etc... I'm canning things as well.
Awesome effort. Don’t get discouraged. One day at a time. Do what’s within your ability and budget. I know the situation so well. I’m a widow of 10 years and I had to reorganize my whole life. Emotionally , financially and my physical surroundings. It takes time. ❤️😊

I am, or was prepared. Home paid off. 5 years of food for two.. seeds and garden space of 5 acres if I wanted. Only used a quarter of one tho.. June 6th this summer a guy came to my house and said my place had been sold at sheriff tax sale back in 2022. Hired an attorney and that was useless. . I paid taxes 2 years on structures I knew nothing about on the property. This county flat out stole my home. Going to court was stupid. I was treated like a retard. People please listen to these videos. You are not safe. Keep a close eye on your ties (taxes) to your counties. I had 90 days to find a place to keep my preps. Food medical supplies tillers, water manual pumps holding tanks.. filters, heirloom seeds, lights, and so many other things. I have 3 weeks left. I pray. Please pray for my situation too. But mostly, keep a close eye on your ownerships. It can go bad in a blink!! Thank you Patera!!

I left a career back in 2022. It was a toxic environment. We made a go of it for 2 years with just my husband working while we still managed to stash some things away in the pantry from both the store and our garden…we had very little debt and are working on getting rid of it….I just decided to go back to work part time just to use the money to prepare more…I start Monday. We just want to get more ahead before they cut more jobs. If they downsize me after a while, ok….but in the meantime, we’ll be able to get more ahead

I'm concerned about shortages. Today, went to Rural King to purchase layer chicken feed. None. Shelves were bare. I asked if they had some out back in the warehouse and not yet on the floor. Nope, no layer chicken feed. The delivery trucks haven't had any for several days. I think it is an indicator of anything we expect to be available when we want it.

I've been " collecting" health building things - BOOKS, especially older health books, these videos can disappear if the internet gets disrupted + the books can be handed down - red light therapy devices for pain relief - massage equipment along with food, seeds, etc for sprouting micro greens

Wednesday (yesterday), USA/ N.E. OKLA. Spouse heard on news possible strike of port workers from TX to FL & up east coast causing lack of supplies. Friend in Mississippi says many empty spots on grocery shelves because barges can't get up the river due to low water level.
Went & did "winter stock up" (wink, wink, nod, nod). We do get snow and ice storms that can leave us stranded in rural areas at least 3 days.

Preparing at this point is overwhelming. So many things that keep creeping in! Food is obviously important, but if there is civil unrest, that's a whole new ballgame....the potential port stike along the gulf, supply chain interruptions, etc. I just pray for calm and peace.

Yesterday my husband got a call from a friend he works with. He’s an OTR driver. He told me that his friend told him their company received an email that a huge company was laying off over 400 people & if they had any openings for any of their employers they’ll be in need of a job. My husband & I both said, our country is doing so great! (Sarcastically) I pray for our country - it’s not good.
I've repeatedly given this advice to my boy.s even back over 10 yrs ago. In 2013 I knew this was going to happen. God gave me the insight, faith and his love is what held me together as everyone said I was losing my mind. I was thrown in a mental hospital for saying what your saying today. Yet I NEVER denied the insight God gave . Who's crazy now I asked them..

The wheat and the tares were allowed to be planted together..so even tho we all share the same flesh look 👀 we are not all the same. I have come to this ever so hesitantly. I always believed people were good and kind in their hearts and they just had bad circumstances influencing their choices. But as I have matured in faith I have realized that there truly is evil… pure evil among us. That there are people here that are not kind and don’t intend to be so. It’s not how I intrinsically operate so it took some time for me to really grasp that. You Petera (sorry for the spelling not sure if it is right) are doing what a lot of people are not. You are speaking truth of current situation and reality. You are bring light into the dark. You are bringing faith and hard work into the light as a positive. You are an excellent example of a hardworking, smart, aware, faith filled mama. For that I am grateful. Keep doing exactly what you are doing and don’t let those tares even give u a moments pause. Just walk right by them and keep tending the wheat.

I try to refrain from educating people who don't want to hear it, because i figure they are either unconcerned, or they just dont think it will affect them but I see friends, younger friends, going on cruise #2 of the year, going to concerts, buying new atv's and campers...living their lives and enjoying being tuned out of reality. Meanwhile, I am at the dollar tree dancing a jig because they finally have cans of fruit cocktail in stock for 1.25 a can! I loaded up on canned food yesterday at dollar tree and had to void tomatoes at walmart because 5 tomatoes rang up almost 5 bucks....I was like not today!!!
Now,that’s a happy cow.
My local foodbank is requesting dry good donations due to supply chain issues. I've always heard when the price of rice increases a lot overnight that we should be preparing for trouble.
