Lies, I've been up there there's hundreds of square miles of these trees(yuccas) in the high desert. And there's also a lot of dry lake beds where there could easily build their solar panels and not affect any plant life in the area.
What good is renewable energy if you destroy the environment to achieve it? We need both. That means building solar into our walls, roofs, everything covered. The sidewalks and roadways can be converted into solar panels. Instead of covering currently open nature with more structures.
This is BS. There are huge areas where there is nothing endangered. Lets focus on those areas and like the remote areas of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Texas. The military has huge swaths of land where all they do is fly over and that rarely. They should be able to return portions of that land for energy production. Elon said all that is needed is 100 miles by 100 miles area for the whole USA. Rooftops and many existing solar farms already exist. Wind is always growing as well. They already have huge farms near the Hoover Dam and they are going to need that since the lake is dropping now a foot every week. That water is going to be gone in a few years at best. Sucks to be in the SW and have to rely on the Colorado river for everything.
And what about geothermal? Where earthquakes are, there is usually volcanic activity. And it works in the desert as there is already one plant that I know of that’s been online for about 33 years.
In order to power America with only solar panels, we would need a solar farm the size of America. By far the worst of the renewable energy solutions. Not to mention that in order to manufacture a solar panel, it creates more waste and carbon than it reduces during its lifetime. This is why we should switch to nuclear power.
Construction even around species like this will effect how they grow and propagate. How water flows when it rains, how seeds spread, where animals live. It's not nearly this simple.

These climate clowns have to despise geologist. Look from geological standpoint and its obvious of a repetitive cycle.
Shame

Like maybe we should be doing videos on how to reapproach the economy and how we can save young people's jobs or maybe how we can start becoming self sufficient... Instead this...
Whatdoya mean Joshua trees are related to Mojave yucca, banana yucca and more distantly to other yuccas. They haven’t outlived their relatives their relatives are still here.
Can they move the trees from the solar panel land to some place else. Are they difficult to re plant?
