Nightwish is definitely a healing force. During the pandemic I was in a great deal of pain stemming from work related injury to my cervical spine. I couldn't lie down, couldn't sleep, but really couldn't stand to be awake. Too much pain to focus on television, most music just made me irritated, it was misery. Then I rediscovered Nightwish, Ghost Love Score. I had been aware of Nightwish years before but never really explored their music. But in that 10 minute song I was transported somewhere else. My body still felt pain but it became insignificant to what I was experiencing thru that video, the pain no longer mattered. I sat up in my bed and watched that one song over and over for a month, with different reactors to keep me company. At first I didn't want to hear another song from them for fear of being disappointed, but I eventually took the leap to explore more and more of their precious music. It almost seems a disservice to simply call it music, it is something much greater. In the months to follow Nightwish and my physical therapist helped rid me of pain. The healing became complete with the opportunity to see them in person in NYC, May of 2022. It was a spiritual quest and I night I will always remember. Enjoy your journey, the best is yet to come.
Thank you so much for sharing! I understand what you mean. My traumatic event that I referred to in the reaction happened 6/27/21. One day, I hope to share it, but it was music that kept me going. I'm thankful I found nightwish, especially the NW army, everyone has been amazing! I can not wait to see what comes next, but you're right, this is going to be a journey, and I can not wait for it!!!
Steve - music helped me through back surgery in the 1980s - we didn't have Nightwish then, but music you can feel and empathise with certainly helped me- great you got to see Nightwish live
@@trevorfolker3665 The affect of music is a mysterious and wonderful thing. Seeing Nightwish after that was such a personal experience that I didn't invite anyone. I knew no one else would understand how much it meant to me and I didn't want to be distracted from the experience. But the Nightwish Army being what it is it felt like a family gathering. Thanks for sharing your story, its good to know others feel this as well.
Music attacks your emotions - and when you are down it can be the only thing to drag you back in to the roller coaster of life - it heals the spirit, it heals the soul - but however invigorating and energising a Nightwish song may be, it also reduces me to tears - but in a good way - do I want my tears back? No. They were shed throught he sheer joy of listening to great music
This song is about longing for a connection with a person one loves. It speaks of the desire for a companion and the risks of taking chances to find that person, despite the possibility of failure. Ultimately, the song is about never giving up on the hope of finding true love. ❤from 🇫🇮
The male singer/bassist you admired is Marko Hietala. He is very well loved and respected in Finland as one of the pioneers of metal in that country. Though he is no longer with Nightwish, he has an almost 20 year catalog of music with that band. He also fronts his own band "Tarot," is a member of the Finnish supergroup "Northern Kings," released a solo album a couple of years ago called "Pyre of the Black Heart" and just a few days ago released a single from his upcoming album that featured the first vocalist from Nightwish, Tarja Turunen, called "Left on Mars" that is well worth a listen. Also, if I may make a slight suggestion -- it might be better to move your picture to the bottom of the screen because where you currently have it sometims cuts of the views of the musicians.
" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today. "Ever Dream" was certified with Gold Disc in Finland two days after its release, with more than 5,000 copies sold, and later received Platinum Disc with more than 10,000 copies sold.
Elevate the mood - Mission accomplished I think By the Way: Welcome to the Army. I would recommend next: Ghost River from Wacken 2013 - for some more interaction between Floor and Marko. All Hail Queen Floor !
Well...At that time in 2013, this song was the most challenging vocal piece for Floor (believe it or not). But, THIS IS Floor Jansen Ladies and Gentlemen !!!! Also, Marko really showing off on this one 😁. I heard this song "Live" in 2022, and even without Marko (Floor did his parts beautifully as well) this song IS forever beautiful still on this day ! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
An Dose of Nightwish Everdream at the Start, and the DAy can come, great decision, happy to see you been joyed up by Them:) If you want to watch that Song again for yourself, i would recommend th-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/w-d-xo.html Far better quality andf with the Intro Words from Floor;) STay healthy NWA Frankonia, Bavaria, Germany
I totally agree with you about starting the day with Nightwish. Could I marry you? Like all I've seen from you. I would be totally happy. Listening to Nightwish every day with a beautiful woman next to me 😊
Only thing I would say is move yourself to the bottom left side of the screen as most shots of Floor tend to on the right hand side. Otherwise keep rocking.
