  • Just picked up some New Joey Pouches from Holstery. I have had a couple Original Joey Pouches since they first released. I recently picked up a Version 2 Big Joey, and Pro Versions of the Big ad Regular Joey Pouches.
    I share in this video the cost, features, and differences to hopefully help you make the decision if these are a pouch you need to add in your life. It might be just right for you... or maybe not for you all together.
    Hope it was useful & THANKS FOR WATCHING!

    Thanks for posting this. I have an original and love it. I was thinking about ordering a pro as a second one but actually dislike the look of the metal clip (digging into my side, tearing up my pants) and don't like the black bottom of the bag either. Went ahead and ordered a second original.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like them both. I only like the pro bag better for being able to clip more stuff in the sides, they perform pretty much the same

    I have the original Amazon version and use it every day. I do end up dumping it out looking for wire nuts or wego's. The new versions look really good.

      Yeah I was looking at getting a Big Joey to try out and get one for my buddy. I got an email with 15% off and saw I could put my magnets on them. Decided to give them a shot.
      I use my originals nearly every day too.

    Got a big Joey pro yesterday and within 40 minutes of working with it this morning it’s amazing. Wish I had grabbed it months ago. Still going to use my Diamondback sack to keep nearby with lesser used tools and parts but the big Joey is excellent!

    Ordered my pro version this week, can't wait to try it out on the job. I've been using it for wire nuts and the diamondback pouch for all the lamps I replace.
    I was mostly sold on the metal clips, because it's way easier to take on and off when getting in and out of my truck. The plastic clip gets hung up a lot.

    I have the og Joey and love it. These pro versions look great but I’ve found the the bright yellow interior and bottom of the bag is super handy for being able to see what is inside in low light conditions. I work in film so it’s often dark on set.

    I just bought the small pro ver 2 and I love it. I love the simplicity of it and pairing it with the magmaster like in your vid is what sold me to it.
    I with they added a mod slot in the front. I send them a message about it. It would've been useful for putting tape measure since they also sell the tapemaster pro for example.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I prefer the pro version myself. I think it’s worth the extra money. You can still stick pencils in it, but it’s nice to be able to use it for real attachments.

    Joey like in Joey "The Pouch" Morgan?
    Jokes aside, I finally need to try one of those pouches. For the last two days I've been doing a lot of clean installs in the flat I've just finished decorating. And there's no way I can use my regular tool belt, because I'd damage walls and furniture with tools sticking out of it. And when installing 40 lamps, it'd be nice to have some extra storage space on me (literally).

    • @MORGANSMaintenance

      I really like them. A lot of times I just take the small one and clip it in my front pants pocket for that reason. It keeps me from hitting things on my side.

    I like my Joey pouches and magnets, but I wish they wouldn’t slide around on my belt. Do you know of a good way to fix them in one spot? My Diamondback pouches have a clip that keeps them from moving around, and I like that better.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The newer metal ones do the same thing. There are times I like it because I can swing them out of my way.. but agree that it can sometimes be annoying.
      I sometimes wrap a zip tie around my belt on both sides of a clip for multiple pouches to keep them from moving. I’m not sure I ever have for a Holstery, but it should work.
      I then just clip them off when I’m done. I always have some in my bag.

    Confused about joey pouch v2 means pro or bigger size or simply another version against v1?

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Joey V2 has pencil type slots on the side like the original, but has the newer shape.
      The Joey Pro has slots on the side that will accept their other products like the Magmaster, etc… or you can still put pencils in them. It’s the same size as V2
      The Big Joey is the Bigger Option. They have that in the Pro as well or with Pencil slots on the side.
      Hope that makes sense
