I have tried to play this game multiple times 2 times when it was free to play. But I remember when the game first came out there wasn't level scaling even though it was annoying to not have level scaling it was still more enjoyable to have to work for it.

Its not just questing though. It feels like class diversity, gear sets, mythics are all being merged into one giant puddle of meh: the videogame.

And why is absolutely every NPC boring?

Maybe because you move from a Dark Elf to a Dark Elf.
From an Argonian to an Argonian.
All of them look the same except for their haircuts.
Each of them has a weird name you allmost forget instantly after finishing a quest.
Too much quantity over quality if you ask me.

ESO is one of the few MMO besides SWtoR where I enjoy the side quest content. It's chill and interesting, but difficulty would be very welcome.

It cant be that hard for Zos to add craglorn scaling to the rest of the game as a toggleabke option. Only reason they haven't is because they cant monetise it to hell by selling per character unlocks in the store, thats why

I've tried ESO once and, well, let's say I'm glad I managed to refund it in time. I think the MMO format for Elder Scrolls was a mistake. I'd love to engage with the lore of ESO (luckily you're here for us in that regard), but the MMO mechanics are something that appeals to some people while completely discouraging others.
Also, don't you fucking dare make me listen to Rigmor's dialogue ever again.

Well, I've been playing the game on and off since it came out. I'm at a point now where I'm burned out and desperate for a new mmo, keeping my eye on Ashes of Creation at the moment. But to say that it was a mistake to make an mmorpg based on the elder scrolls, is statistically and factually wrong. ESO is one of the most successful mmorpgs in the market, it's still competing with some of the bigger ones. I recently logged in just to look at my characters a bit and get nostalgic in the old zones lol and I was surprised how many people there were everywhere, it's crazy that it's still going so strong 10 years after launch. Not many games can say that.

  • @grumblegnome

    Why it is so boring?
Because doing or starting a questline after finishing one, it is only a change of text and setting afterwards.
Due to the "One Tamriel" every enemy in those quests feel the same.
    Nothing special.
Every mob dies after the exact same skill rotation.
Every mage enemy is the same, every melee enemy is the same.
    They only look different.
If you fight your first quest boss, you´ve seen all of the following ones allready.
Without friends there is zero to none social aspect.
With friends it´s even worse because enemies are still the same difficulty which causes you to only need half of your skill rotation, which makes encounters even more boring.

Played since launch and while i agree quest bosses, overland mobs are brain dead easy, i enjoy it. I don't want zos making every enemy a bullet sponge.
The challenge in this game for me is HM dungeons and trial tri fectas.

Dont forget Zenimax' writers and so called Lore master called the singleplayer games ," Fanciful tales, and that we're telling the real history of Tamriel". No their not, and f them for that statement.

I tell u why ESO is boring, and i play since Beta. Eso Devs making money with Chests and Skins and not with Challenging and interesting Content. the paying Community like shiny shiny mounts and all this useless Housing Shit, so the Company focus on this Shit...thats it

The devs knew the quests were boring because they wanted players to do Dolmen runs to level up so they could play the dungeons on a repetitive grind machine. This is the intended way to play this game and skip all quests, locations, etc. I believe they created this game's quests boring intentionally from the beginning.

Good voice acting doesn't gonna fix the issue about the written texts. If your dialogues are not entertaining or not pulling people in, then you are failing in the story aspect. You may love it, but there are better games that pull storytelling aspects much better than ESO.

I kinda expected it to be some casual reddit-worthy skyrim player complaining it's not Skyrim, but damn, I felt this so bad, almost like my own screams into the void were heard. I'm a pretty veteran player and you just WANT this to be a better game lorewise/ exploration-wise. You stick with it from the begining, and... then 7 main quests,, 5 or 6 delves...... Like, how much more can I re-play CWC mainquest before going insane.
Maybe it's some autistic pull to the TES universe that keeps me here, but fucking shit trying to complete quests just drains your life away. Thankfully, the dungeon/trial team seems to be somehow seperate, the lore/characters there seems on a different level, it brings the two of the best things in ESO - the social aspect and the challange aspect together. I notice you yourself are doing a dungeon in the background, which is good, I wonder what's your opinion on those, personally I will never forget Scalecallers Peak, 30 minutes of a dungeon created more unique characters than the entirety of the Blackwood chapter.
Your video hits home, hopefully we can get back on some hopium train with eso again.
Oh, just realized, I recognize you from your vigilant video! Your narration is amazing, will definetly have to check out the CWC one as well now, have a great day!

Everything in the known universe is better than the blackwood chapter :D. As for your comment about dangeons and trails, my best pve memories of this game are doing secrets runs in veteran black drake villa and tanking veteran sunspire, so I have to agree.

First played Skyrim little over a year ago and loved it to death and loved elders scrolls to death. Then I tried out ESO thinking it’s just gonna be Skyrim online. Was instantly bored. Skipped every dialogue. The combat is boring. I am way too tanky. The game is too easy. It is boring, it is a let down, and is ugly… like Skyrim is better looking id rather look at marrowind than this game.
