I'm sorry if this video isn't for my main followers, I only posted it to help rcz owners out as there isn't much help online in regards to servicing this car.
I think u should do some more videos like this it’s nice to learn something new and different mate !
I myself aren't a huge fan of channels that flitter about to much. I only upload this incase it helps someone out really.

Honestly I love mine, one of the best looking cars on the road , easy to service, not the fastest but fast enough and cheap to run.
The interior is stunning. Heated seats, cruise control, front and back distance sensors, air con, massive boot.

Holding the oil bottle horizontally rather than vertically gives you much better control.
Yes i have done that in the past. But some went in lol.

I love my car big time, every time I look at it I think it looks amazing.
Little quick tip for you Charlie....if you want to freshen up the engine bay plastics....use a clean microfibre cloth & use wd40.... also they do detailing waterless wash products, so your bodywork is always clean lol.
Nice diversion & like you say may help other owners or people thinking of tackling their own vehicles.

On the contrary my friend, I believe I made progress on the lex yesterday off camera, I've ordered 1 more £3 part and think its probably resolved.
I'll also be giving the gilera dna a shit aswell soon.

The oil on top the engine is usually a sign the PCV valve is knackered (embedded into the rocker cover), I had the same issue on my Z and had to change it, seems like you have a leaky rocker cover gasket like mine did also

£300 excluding plugs, thats shocking. The parts are £50, add £100 labour thats £150. No way am I paying £300

Am no fan of garages but don't forget they have to cover, property insurance, 3rd party insurance, employee insurance, property rates, utility bills, NI insurance contributions, cover pension costs, sick pay, waste disposal costs, training, specialist tooling, holiday pay, property maintenance costs, the list is endless. We can't really compare a non qualified bloke doing an oil change on his drive to running a business.
Only time I take mine to the garage is MOT time.
Looks like your offside front tyre tracking is off and looked worn, but might of just been the camera angle.
@@bobp6742 of course all that has to be taken into account but I still don't feel £300 for a hours job and £50 worth of parts is right. Also I'm not bashing individual garages im teaching people that its ok to do these jobs at home.
Its a balance between charging people to much and getting less people in and charging to little.
You see im a motorcycle mechanic yet was willing to pay around £170 for them to do the service, thats £50 in parts and a hours labour. Just out of laziness.
Instead I did it myself.

I bought my fiesta new but not from the local dealer I got a better deal 120 miles away from another Ford dealer.
I needed to get some warranty work done so took it to my local Ford dealer and because I didn't buy it from them they refused to do the work. Ended up getting Ford UK involved who instructed they had to do the work or lose their licence. That's how bitchy some scumbag garages can get.
@@motorcyclerescuer my renualt failed its mot and they wanted £56 +vat every half hour it may take all day electric steering fault on dash nope and here the icing on the cake 2 wipers at £27+vat i would want some chap with a bucket fasterned to my roof with a mop anyway scarped it to trent recycling £300 thats wot i paid for it a year ago

@@motorcyclerescuer so after work on my front wheel i got some paint stripper and put it on and it did not work no bubbling or stripping which can only mean the wheel ha no paint on it lol,
I got the palm sander out and after an hour i found the sand paper was just falling apart and got fed up, i started again this morning using the palm sander paper using by hand and got fed up lol,
ive just ordered a scotch brite wheel for a drill and will try again tomorrow or tuesday as ive just been layed off
