    Thanks again for another great tutorial Scotty!
    Did you noticed any performance increase or better mpg with the k&n filter? I'm tempted to get one, but I'm quite hesitant to change any OEM parts...

      Hi Victor, thank you! I did notice a power increase, but not sure whether it's strictly due to the K&N air filter as I changed the oil and the spark plugs at the same time.... Obviously I can't give you warranty on your car for my videos but I would put it in again anytime. It fits perfectly and I also put it in because now I only need to clean it and put a bit of K&N oil on it once a year instead of throwing a filter in the bin every time. You have several brands making the disposable filter as well (Purflux, MANN, Bosch, etc.) so it's cheaper in the long run to go for the more expensive K&N filter. Bottom line, they all do the job, most important thing is to clean/replace them regularely so our little cars can breath properly :-)

      MotorScotti Great, thank you so much for your review. It's quiet dusty where I live (Dubai) so I have to change the air filter every 10k here. I'll give it a try with the k&n filter now :D

    Does it really need to be all the way to the back with torx screws instead of normal ones?
    Can't it be as simple as all other car brands where the scoop is near front bumper and air filter has 2 latches (not brakable clips).
    For AC cabin filter, almost all other car brands can easily replace the by a notch in the glove compartment. No breakable clips or special screws that you can lose when you contort.
    Who's the genius in Peugeot making this a living hell even for seasoned mechanics?

      @timsavvy 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In other other car brand filters, they have plastic frame and has zero chance of flexing (dropping debris) and and tearing while you pull away from a contorted position.

    Hi mate, have you done any further modifications to this car i plan to buy one but i want to take it past 300hp and 400nm is this possible, it is hard to find any info online, i plan to use this air filter and a straight pipe exhaust and get a remap but i wondered if there is anything else i can do

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mathew Woolley Ho Mathew, technically not besides the filters and the exhaust. you're gonna go through quite some trouble to tune the 200hp version up to 300 hp. why don't you just get am RCZ R? 270 hp, better handling, sports exhaust, bigger brakes

    • @caddyinvictus
      @caddyinvictus 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi there, you can do that BUT you will have to add a RaceChip (or remap), then change/upgrade your turbine, induction kit or K&N performance kit and intercooler for your turbo and of course
      your exhaust and you will reach 300-380 with that setup...mine it's 156 HP default and I'm now around 220-230 with RaceChip Ultimate, K&N filter from the movie above, and Borla Quad Exhaust...

    Hi mate, 1 weeks back I just brought and install a K & N air filter. After driving near to 2 weeks 'Engine check light came up with Engine fault need repair' went to Mechanic and they diagnose with OBD and say that fault is intermediate. And was told that probably the oil from the k & n have deposit into my air intake therefore the air flow sensor got to be replace. any suggestion besides changing the sensor?

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trance 4life Hi Trance, well it does sound logical, but did you put extra oil on the filter? Did you replace the air flow sensor? How about cleaning it first before replacing it. Did you check the recirculation valve? Bad fuel? Hope that helps.

    • @jaydenwong790
      @jaydenwong790 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just brought it brand new and didn't add any more excess oil. I have yet to replace the air flow sensor as the engine check light is coming on and off. looking to take out the k & n and clean the oil and monitor, I suspect it could be due to my Racechip. So planning to take out my racechip too. How do I go about checking the recirculation valve? Fuel is normal.

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trance 4life Okay, sounds good. I made a video on the recirculation valve, just check oit my latest video ;)

    • @jaydenwong790
      @jaydenwong790 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your that video only show u are taking out the recirculation valve? So I just take it out and put it back and monitor?

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I meant is that the fault might come from the recirculation valve and that it's easy to check. If the membrane is broken you found your fault, if it's fine your engine fault is somewhere else, that's all.

    Hi Scott.. I bought RCZ .2011 model and I have a problem of getting spare parts in my country .. any company you can suggest to get ..I would like to get.turbo charger .turbo cooler and high pressure fuel pump.

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try mister-auto.com and auto-doc.com. I usually buy from auto-doc, though I haven't bought anything for an RCZ in four years, since I've sold it. Good luck! Btw, what about Peugeot dealers? Just get it there if you can't find it anywhere else. I bought my high pressure fuel pump from the dealer.

    How often do these filters need to be changed?

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  ปีที่แล้ว

      Once a year is a good measure, it all depends on how much you drive. Peugeot says every 20'000 km, I change these filters every 10'000 km.

    In the second step, did you really only tighten the left screw or also the second on the right? I guess they re both connected to the cover...

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It got put back together the way it was from the factory. 🙂

    • @gerrand90
      @gerrand90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MotorScotti so the factory only used 1 screw at your car to attach the cover? :D (its hard to reach the second one on the right back )

      On my RCZ 156 the airbox is in a different place, between the turbo and the left light

    • @MotorScotti
      @MotorScotti  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      gammaraider That is the air intake box. The air filter box is located behind the engine block on all THP/ Prince engines.

    • @gammaraider
      @gammaraider 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right! I didn't look properly, I assumed the filter was in there too. Thanks mate, I appreciate your videos!
