Very useful, answered a lot of my questions. I was hoping you'd give more information about the different types of climate within the state. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and commenting! And we LOVE that suggestion - a video that covers the weather patterns across the various areas of Idaho would be a GREAT video topic! Thank you for the suggestion! We have a video that mainly focuses on the Boise/Treasure Valley area (which I will link to below) - but we can see how a video that covers areas across the state could be helpful. We appreciate the view, comment and suggested video topic! Here is our video that covers what one could expect weather-wise living in Boise (and its surrounding Treasure Valley): th-cam.com/video/DTIXwuggYec/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uXBZbYNEN1ZXDEE3
Thank you so much. Also wondering about the pulp plants in Lewiston area and the odor that comes from them. Also wondering if its unhealthful to breath it.
@@lorifisher5330 Another great question! The pulp plant odor in Lewiston can vary pretty significantly depending on multiple factors (i.e weather and wind direction). Some residents describe it as a strong, sulfurous smell, while others find it barely noticeable. For me, personally, I wouldn’t want to live with that odor. But that’s just me! It’s a beautiful area, and one that so many love!
Great question! Across Idaho, building permit requirements vary depending on the specific county or jurisdiction where the property is located. And that's even true for properties outside city limits. While some rural areas may have less stringent regulations compared to urban areas, it's still common for counties to require building permits for new construction, renovations or significant modifications to structures. If you found a property that you thought you might want to build on, we (or whoever you are working with) would contact the local planning and zoning department to get all of the information required (i.e. building permit requirements, zoning regulations/restrictions, etc.). Are you actively looking at land here in Idaho?
I grew up in the Treasure Valley and my folks moved away in high school. I am finally coming back after so long. I have to say, the bumper sticker looks appealing.. lol
First - WELCOME back to Idaho! And then second, well, I suppose, since you GREW UP here, I will let you desire for such a bumper sticker slide. Growth is HARD.
As a lifelong Idahoan I really hope everyone heeds this biased information. Don’t come here, unless you want to escape the liberal miasma of your present domicile, and not bring it with you! 😉 Idaho is what America used to be.
😂😂😂 I had my friend complain and complain about living in California for 20 years...Where does he move? North end Boise...I laugh everytime I think about it
Thanks for the comment! Hopefully he is enjoying it though? While Boise’s North End is definitely the most liberal area in Ada County, it’s not as liberal as so many areas in CA, so hopefully he is happy?
@@medic1937 We have actually seen quite a number of people move into Boise - only to find themselves packing back up to move just 15 minutes away to Eagle, Meridian or Star. It’s an interesting (but understandable) trend. If your friend ever find himself in that situation, we would absolutely love to help him. On another note, hope your new build is coming along wonderfully!
Thanks for watching & commenting! The city of Boise has grown increasingly liberal for sure - but, well, the cities surrounding Boise have really just grown redder. It’s going to be an interesting election year for sure.
I think it's all the college kids that probably make the city feel more liberal. It's really not that bad, just a lot of people who ride bikes, paint, and do other hippie crap.
@TinyWondersInc Thanks for the comment. It’s all relative right? Compared to what Boise was 20 years ago (or even 5 years ago) yes, it is definitely more liberal. That said, in comparison to our country’s most liberal metros such as Seattle, San Francisco or Portland well, it’s not liberal at all! And yes, BSU being right here definitely adds a bit to that liberal vibe.

she didn't mention the great kayaking up there
Thanks for the comment! And yes, how could I forget kayaking!?! 🙂
Ahhh Idaho, the state of my youth. Summers on the Snake and winters heading to the mountains.
Thank you for the comment! And yes! W agree - summers here in Idaho are pretty hard to beat indeed. 🙂

I can imagine Purple is the reason for the bumper stickers.
Thanks for the comment. And well, correct. 👍
Hi, This is Doug Bunch
Hi Doug! Thanks for the comment! 🙂
Go Trump, go America First!
Yeah "go".....to jail, directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid Ya he likes it. It is better than California for sure but, Eagle or Star is definitely more his speed.

U D HO
I think what you're looking for is 'U Da Ho'. Or so my kid tells me - (the 'a' makes it funnier).
I wouldn't move to Boise, it is liberal hell hole.

Less character than most paid commercials.
Huh, well too bad I don’t get paid for making commercials - or heck, maybe it’s a good thing, eh?
Love the 2nd amendment, and it seems like this woman doesn't.
I don’t think you’ve watched many of “this woman’s” videos! 😂 Because I very clearly love the 2nd amendment.
