The problem with lefties is they like to move to free states so they can infect them. You can't ask them nicely. You have to scare the hell out of them.
Idaho is just fine if you don't like guns. Just don't become a Karen and b*tch about people having guns, and don't bring your blue state politics with you.
33 years of law enforcement. So many states have lost sight of that if a violent crime is occurring, law enforcement is minutes away, when seconds count. Thank goodness for Idaho taking a stand for it's citizens. Very informative video.
As an American born and raised in psycho California and soon moving to Idaho, I thank you for making this video. It’s so refreshing to see that some states still acknowledge and protect our Constitutional rights and freedoms.

I moved from Texas to Idaho 25 yrs. ago because too many people moving into Texas brought too much "baggage" with them. Keep Idaho Idaho! If I were asked about a Texas law I thought worth consideration in Idaho, it would be Texas' legislative session duration. The Texas State Legislature is only allowed to meet every other year for no more than 140 days. If you don't let them meet, they can't pass a bunch of stupid laws!
@@duanelavely5481 I totally get it. The thing to keep in mind is that 90% of “Californians" invaded CA from other states before they moved from CA to TX, FL, ID, etc. Most "Californians" are not actually from CA. Those of us who were actually born and raised in CA disliked the invasion that we suffered back in the 80s/90s. So, really, most of the transplants leaving CA falsely claim to be "from CA" though they’re not.
My Dad was born in Mich. but raised in L.A. where he graduated from H.S. just before WWII. He & my mother worked at N. Amer. Aircraft during the war. After the war, they moved to Okla. & Tex. but returned to S. Ca. in the late 50's. I also lived in S. Ca. at times from the 60's on, i.e., Downey, Long Beach, Gardena, N. I love Idaho & want it to stay like it is. @@rpc2112
Thanks for the video my dad was a LASD sheriff for 42 years. I joined the Army when I was 18 and last year I retired in twin falls Idaho. This is the best place I've ever been and I've been to many.
I'm a Florida boy< moved to ID in 2021, I'm still getting use to the colder winters, but have absolutely fallen in love with the mountains, hunting, fishing, etc. As an avid 2A American, I am so thankful the gun laws are as they are. Thank you for the content.
Welcome to Idaho! And we feel the same way about calling Idaho “home”. Our access to the great outdoors is incredible & we love having 4 distinct seasons. That said, winters (especially that period between January 2 or 3rd through February) can indeed be a bit dreary. Thanks for the comment!
Idaho and Utah are the example that all states should follow when it comes to gun laws. I was born and raised in Utah with a bunch of family members who live in Idaho. Unfortunately I've been living in Commifornia since my time in the USMC and I'm totally disillusioned that the constitutional rights that I have spent 20 years defending and my brothers have died for are nonexistent here.😢
@@pacificnorthwestprotest Really? Um, how about a “Thank you for your service” to the previous commenter? Without their service & our military there would be ZERO tacos.
God bless FREE America! Moving to North Idaho from the People's Republic of California after 53 years was the best thing I ever did for myself and my family. Thanks for highlighting the gun laws. I teach firearms courses at a local gun shop/range and absolutely love the people with whom I come in contact.
Thanks for watching and commenting! We love north Idaho! What’s the name of the gun shop/range you teach at? My sister lives in Sandpoint with her family and we now have quite a few friends up there. We’d love to direct people to your firearm courses.

Thank you for posting this video on a sensitive, but important subject. This is great information, and Second Amendment rights are important to many of us - which is one great reason to live in Idaho
I just came across your channel. I'm retired law enforcement out of California. I moved to North Central, idaho 3 years ago. The main reason is the political climate and positive gun laws here. Very good video and breakdown of statistics in this video.

We moved from Kaliforistan to Caldwell in 2015. It is wonderful to be in the United States of America 😁😁😁😁 In addition to the wonderful gun rights - everything the founders intended - the decrease in the cost of living is amazing. Only thing we miss is our friends and our one daughter who is still in LA!
I am not fond of real estate agents doing you tube videos to attract more people to Idaho but this video was well done honest and I thank you for that excellent content!
I moved to Idaho about two years ago & shortly after arriving all the memories of what it was like to live in an actual free state came flooding back. I remember when I was a teen (all through the 80's) what it was like to live in a free California; it hasn't been that way for more than 30 years.
Thanks for the comment! And glad you found your way to Idaho! It’s amazing how we, as humans, adjust to change (sometimes without even noticing it). We moved back to Oregon (from Idaho) for almost a year about 7 years ago - and well, that helped us recognize just how much better things were in Idaho! We (obviously) moved back & now can’t imagine giving up our Idaho residency!
I live Washington state and thanks to the terrible government here I am thinking about moving to Idaho. The gun laws and the perverse sex laws they have out into regarding children. I don't care what adults do, but let kids grow up health
Oddly enough I am currently in Washington with family and my goodness, I have been very surprised by what I’ve heard (and seen) since being here for the past week. Idaho is like a different world! Sad to see how much has changed in WA over the past decade or two!
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candidI lived in western Washington for many years, and was stationed briefly in Bremerton in the early 1980’s. Since my time in Bremerton and my ultimate departure in 2002, I watched the place morph into a place that I no longer loved. It was getting too much like California, more crime, drugs and gangs. There were people getting into the legislature who had agendas that were messing up pretty much everything. Heartbroken, I left in 2002. 😢 In 2010 I thought about moving back, however my friends advised me that if I didn’t like it when I left, I would really hate it now. I’ll try to remember happier times there.
Gun laws is one of the reasons I moved to Idaho over 10 years ago . permitless concealed carry , I can carry loaded gun in my car . You can be 17 and carry in Idaho.
Thank you for your great information on Idaho gun laws. As a gun owner that will be moving to Idaho in the next few weeks, I appreciate your views and sane perspective on gun ownership.
Honest question for you, Sir/Madame. I am happy that you take protecting yourself and others by carrying a firearm. I hope you are also training constantly. As a retired cop and firearms instructor, I always want to ask open carry folks why they "open carry." Having arrested numerous criminals over 30 years and speaking to them about their mindset and having played bad guy during training, I wonder why "open carry" folks would want the bad guys to know who is the first threat i need to eliminate. I can see open carry as a perceived deterrent, but, if you aren't fully situationally aware at all times, an open carry person would be the first person I would shoot if I had bad intent. Please explain your reasoning so I can understand your thought process. I love living in North Idaho and seeing other freedom loving Americans, but always wonder when I see people open carrying. I just expect everybody here to be carrying a firearm.
Missed it by one fine state, Sir. Come join all us retired CA LEO's in North Idaho. There are hundreds of us up here. Enjoy your retirement and live at least as long as you served.
@@pacificnorthwestprotest I am definitely retired. I couldn't do the job with all the BS going on these days. But why do you think CA cops aren't a good fit for this area? Our Kootenai County Sheriff and Undersheriff are both retired SoCal cops and seem to be doing a good job. I have former partners who work at Spokane PD and know a couple local cops who were former CA cops. It's different and more laid back, but criminals are criminals.

You cannot go wrong moving to Idaho if you can handle snow and cold. We are L.A. escapees and love it here in North Idaho. The Boise area has gone a bit "purple," but North Idaho is great, especially if you are looking to escape traffic and the concrete jungle.
Well, I left Idaho because Idaho is the new California/Oregon/Washington, but I used to say when I lived there before I moved to Florida, which is now redder by the way, if you're going to move to Idaho, bring a smile and a gun-
I dint know i been here since 2021 majority people i meet are transplants from CA... So what he says is pretty right on, the locals are being forced out as transplants have caused housung to be too $$$ for them.
I’m new to Idaho from Wa, most the people I have met are from Wa and Cali, all of them and I mean all of them are hard core conservatives who fled. Idaho is America, I’m no longer a 2nd class American here. I have a ridiculous amount of freedoms again.
Escaped to WA from CA, but the liberal lunacy invaded WA, looking at ID as a potential place to escape to. It’s very alluring to a freedom loving, big game hunting gun enthusiastic veteran like myself.
You and me both. Sadly I have no place to drop anchor in idaho, so I have to drive an extra 15 hours to the Ozarks to get my freedom back. Can't believe it only took 8 months from the Time I arrived for Washington to become California 2 with the laws.
Thanks for watching & commenting. And you’re right it can definitely be cold in the winters. The southern end certainly sees much more mild winters than what they experience in the north, but YES we see four distinct seasons every year for sure!
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid I live on a 200 acre farm in Tennessee with 800 acres empty around me. Lived the city life too long. I have been to Idaho several times in my life and it is beautiful.
The upside to our cold-ass winters is that it tends to keep the riff raff out. Plus, there are all sorts of fun things to do in wintertime. In general, gear up for it. We dress for it and just throw another log in the woodstove.
And we’re grateful to have you as ours! I just got home from being in WA helping a family member through a health issue - and my goodness, it really is such a mess! Couldn’t get back to Idaho fast enough!
True it is slightly harder to get a gun here in Idaho than a head of lettuce. But totally possible to do either on an hr lunch break. But probably not both, Grocery store lines can be long.
IF you don't like Idaho's gun laws, do not move there! While you don't see all that much open carrying here in Texas, it is allowed.. I simply don't do it myself because I prefer to move about unnoticed by any potential bad actors.. That being said, I have been to Idaho and have seen a great deal more people open carrying... I actually feel MORE safe with people showing they are armed in mass.. IMO, it makes no goodniks think twice x10 on whether it is worth a wall of lead. Again, I have zero problem with anyone doing it that isn't a bad guy with bad intentions.. I just want to be the generic person that is harmless..
In idaho, can businesses place signs around the entrance to make it illegal to cary in their store/office? For example Texas with the handgun with a corcle cross or 30.06 30.07 sign.
Great question! And one that I had to look into before answering (because I've never noticed such a sign here in Idaho). And what I discovered is that “No Firearm” signs in Idaho have no force of law unless they 'e posted on property that is specifically mentioned in State Law as being off limits to those with a Permit/License to Carry.
Anyplace that the gun-grabbers rank #48 on a scale that puts California at #1 has to be doing SOMETHING right! (Can you guess what my stance on gun politics is? :) )
“Jay- former Californian” 😂 Living in AZ we have similar open carry laws but I dont really walk around strapped like I did 4 years ago. I’m not sure about Idaho but I think you made a solid Video here. Idaho looks pretty awesome. I’d be interested in visiting and seeing about Future homes.
Should not have to say ,freedom of your rights!!These terms are unconstitutional without saying!!VT, NH ,carry anyway you want. Open carry insights criminals.
Does Idaho also have a Concealed Carry Permit Process also? I ask because I've carried a CCW here in Georgia for 20+ years & we also just recently became a Constitutional Carry State. I plan to keep my CCW in good effect, because it only takes One New Governor & Administration to Negate Constitutional Carry, leaving those who depended upon Constitutional Carry, Out Of Luck. (We are also an Open Carry State, but that carries it's own set of Problems and Issues) I plan to keep my CCW no matter what other "More Convenient" options are offered. Just wondering how this works in Idaho, and Truthfully, If I wasn't So Dad Gum Old, I'd be living in Idaho Already, but at 73+ I figure I'll stay here On The Farm In Georgia, But I learned Long Ago, Not To Rule Anything Out
Thanks for the comment and great question! Always smart to plan for the future. Idaho does have a concealed carry permit process, which is issued at the local level by county sheriffs. Since you’re an experienced gun owner you would likely find the process very straight-forward and easy. Both my husband and I have ours and we renew it every few years. Thanks for the question!
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid Thanks for the quick answer. Is Idaho a "May Issue" Or a "Shall Issue" State, when it comes to CCWs? Sorry, I should have added this question to my prior post......I'll use the "Hey, I'm Old" Defense for that oversight
I've read that Idaho has 2 CCW permits. Basic and Enhanced. Enhanced requires 8 hours of training, and is valid is a few other states that basic one isn't honored in. Like WA for example.
I am a fourth generation Californian, my great grandfather drove a stagecoach in the San Luis Obispo area. When I went to high school in LA, ( graduated 72 )we had a rifle team and when ready to go shooting, our teacher/mentor would unlock the armory give each student their rifle and we would walk across campus carrying with our rifles to the van to go to the range. It used to be legal for ccw holders to go to school with our permitted firearm. But in the wisedom of California that was removed, solving a problem that didnt exist. As a federal Judge recently said "CCW permitholders are among the most responsible, reliable law-abiding citizens. They have been through a vigorous vetting and training process following their application to carry a concealed handgun" I pray that those moving from California to other states dont try to make their new home into another California.
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are incredibly grateful (and so thankful) to have been able to help (and continue to help) a number of Californians find their perfect place here in Idaho. And really across the board (those who work with us anyhow) are arriving in Idaho with the goal of keeping Idaho, Idaho!!! 🙌 Thank you again for watching & commenting.
If you note in every town’s statistics for Idaho… that 295 die, and 256 are wounded for a total of 551. Costing the state 3.7 billion dollars per year. I find that very hard to believe that 551 people being injured or dieing because of guns to cost that state that much money. That’s just over 6.7 million per victim. Those stats are Bogus.
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid I know you didn’t directly. I was also never claiming that what YOU said was bogus. However you showed in your a video a screenshot of the Everytowns statistics comparison between California and Idaho. In that screenshot that is where I noticed the additional stats. Idaho has good gun laws.... or shall I say LACK of bad gun laws. But another factoid most don't know... New Hampshire is even better in that regard. They have the same as Idaho but added that the State has a law which protects law abiding citizens concerning carrying at public schools.... THEY CAN. That's right, not only can you carry in almost every State Government facility (minus courts and jails), but you can legally carry when picking up your child at school, at a school event, etc. And I believe all States need to do that. Take care of CRIMINALS, not disarm law abiding citizens. On a related note... NH has no knife laws either. Contrary to popular belief, knives are covered in the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment isn't simply about GUNS.... but "arms". Cheers!
I was raised and grew up in California (all around the S.F. Bay area) through my 3rd year in High School. Ended up moving to Texas due to one of my parents losing his job in CA and finding one in TX. I voluntarily moved out of my parents house when I turned 18 and joined the ARMY. Unfortunately, I was only in for 3 years and eventually relocated back to CA, lived there for about another 10 years. I left CA to move to OR in 2007 to be near my family; Mom, Grandmother and Siblings. Up until around 2013 I never had any interest in guns. I knew they existed in the civilian world but never had any opinion one way or the other on the subject. I bought my first handgun because I had heard about "competition" shooting which I wanted to learn more about and eventually get into; I bought a S&W M&P 9mm Full size pistol and took my time to learn to be safe and be comfortable handling it. Starting going to the range to develop my skills with it. Then around 2015 for personal and financial reasons I put a pause on my gun hobby and sold both guns ( I also had a CCW for Oregon/Utah and had a Springfield XDm 40 for my conceal carry) until........Measure 114 happened last year in 2022, or tried to happen. I along with so many other Oregonians; went out and purchased my first AR and lets just say, that I've gotten back into guns as a "hobby" with more vigor and have a few other guns besides the AR. Despite our recent win on getting an injunction for Measure 114; I am still concerned about what future gun laws will end up being passed in this state. I too am considering moving somewhere else; though I don't know that Idaho should be my first choice due to proximity to WA/OR. Moving somewhere else in general seems like an impossibility for me because I am single, live alone and have limited financial resources. Also, some would argue that it doesn't do much good to "run away" from these issues. That it's better to stay and fight for our rights. So I'm not really sure what I should do. I never realized how bad it was with regards to gun laws in a lot of states like CA, WA, IL NY and several others until Measure 114 was voted for/passed and have been pretty much glued to several popular YT channels that talk about these issues. I've learned more about guns and gun laws in general in the last year I think than I have learned about Computers in the 20+ years I've been in the IT industry. Having served in the military and sworn the same oath as my Brothers and Sisters to defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign AND domestic; even for as little time as I was in an not ever being in a war zone like so many others, it's infuriating to see and hear how bad our Federal and State Governments have become in trying to disarm us lawful gun owners. Thank you for this informative video. My Sister and her family moved to Idaho a few years ago. Even though I'm "behind enemy lines", I'm glad to know they are living in relative freedom compared to me.
Thank you for your service and the comment! And sorry for the delayed reply, we’re not entirely sure how or why, but somehow until just now, your comment got buried. Measure 114 was a last straw for many who found themselves moving to Idaho. We grew up in Eastern Oregon and while the Greater Idaho movement is a big discussion for many on the eastern end of the state, it doesn’t sound like it will be happening anytime soon. That said, who knows right?! The fact that the movement exists though and that they’ve gotten as much traction as they have - speaks volumes. You certainly aren’t alone with your concerns. Thanks again for the comment (and service)!
I live in Missouri and we have great gun laws as well . We also have open and permitless conceal carry but I keep my CCW PERMIT for travel ( avoid all blue states ) and we also have Castle Doctrine here as well . Great hunting , fishing and everything else outdoors . Grew up at Lake of the Ozarks and plan to retire back home where my family still lives . It’s beautiful to boot . FYI for those that don’t know the LOZ has more shoreline than the state of Commiefornia hs coast line . If we could get the Libs outta KC & St Louis it would be even better ! Lol
Oh , and in Missouri of you pass your background check you walk out the store with your purchase in your hand ! No waiting unless there is a hold on your background check .
We moved from the San Diego area to near Twin Falls 2 1/2 years ago. One of the big reasons for me was to get away from the insane and non-functional gun laws in California. All you have to do is compare the crime rates of the two states to see that California's laws don't work.
Congrats on your move to Idaho, Twin Falls is a beautiful area to call "home"! And we completely agree. While we've never lived in CA, well, their gun laws and heightened crime rate are two reasons we never will. Thanks for the comment!
I don't see why background checks is an issue...its a Federally mandated step in ALL 50 states. I know the MSM gaslights this issue when referencing Idaho.
Great information. Thanks, Utah and Idaho are very much the same.. kinda laughed about getting kids out of school for hunting season.. I’ve seen grown men quit their jobs if they didn’t get the time off to go hunting…. Idaho’s laws are not to lenient.. That’s why crime is down.
Thanks for watching and commenting! And yes, calling of work (and school) for hunting season is a regular occurrence here. And we also agree about why Idaho’s crime rate is so low… criminals are definitely treated as such.
As an idaho resident, I can say I think our gun laws are fantastic, and I do sleep great with the knowledge that I can do whatever is needed in the case of a home invasion, and the fact that anyone from around here knows as well, don't invade homes if you want to continue breathing. Idaho is a great state and we welcome all who come here to be idahoans, however don't come here and try to change things, we do not like that.
Good question. In Idaho, our Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground laws essentially allow people to use deadly force to defend themselves in their home or on any area of their property. Basically if they/we believe they-we are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm, we are within our rights to protect ourselves.
You forgot to mention how terrible Boise is and the treasure valley with the massive crimes everyday and 6 feet of snow. It snows 6months out of the year, floods and earthquakes all year long with tornadoes
The "Castle doctrine" is fine if you stay inside your home. But what about on your own property, or out in public? Crime does not stop once you step out your door. The biggest majority of violent crimes occur outside your home in public places.
Thank you for the comment! You bring up a good point about the limitations of the Castle Doctrine, particularly when it comes to situations outside of one's home. Because yes, crime certainly can occur anywhere, not just within the confines of our homes. In Idaho, self-defense laws extend beyond the home through principles like "stand your ground" or "defense of others" laws. These laws *generally* allow individuals to defend themselves or others from imminent threats of harm (even when outside of their home) without a legal obligation to retreat first. That said, of course every situation is unique, and the specifics of self-defense laws can (and do) vary by jurisdiction. Ultimately, while the Castle Doctrine provides a foundation for self-defense within the home, it's important for all of us recognize and advocate for comprehensive self-defense laws that address the reality of threats beyond our doorsteps. Thanks for the comment!
24 years in Colorado, born and raised and considering moving to Idaho and I’m a firearm enthusiast. I was looking at Texas but being a Coloradan my whole life I can’t handle that heat. I love the scenery in Idaho. I wish it had legal weed though but I think that’s something I can do without. If weed gets passed federally that would be cool. If anything I would like to be an advocate for it. As someone who has used marijuana and owned firearms allegedly, the use of marijuana genuinely poses no danger and definitely does not make me want to do bad with it. Im responsible, im aware of firearms safety, and I know how to use my firearm properly. People can go to the liquor store while carrying and go home and get hammered with the boys, but weed is still frowned upon. I care more about my freedom to carry than my freedom to get baked. Although it’s good for my back pain and I prefer that over alcohol any day of the week. Idaho seems a lot better than Colorado. Any Idaho natives in the comments here that can probably tell me a little bit about Boise? How is it to find a job? What’s the cost of living like? Can I ride my motorcycle with louder exhaust without much police harassment? I support the police I just want to be left alone while enjoying myself. How are you guys about modded vehicles and stuff? Race cars? Big trucks? Etc. I prefer a red state more then what Colorado has become now. Things I should know? Are y’all cool? Stuff like that. Any help is appreciated’
Hello and thank you for the comment! We work with many people who contemplate between Texas and Idaho - and yes, that heat is often a deciding factor! And yes, Idaho is a beautiful place to call home! And then as far as legalizing weed goes, Idaho will likely be on the very last states to legalize it. There's a reason why Ontario (which is only 45 minutes away) is home to what is said to be the busiest and most profitable pot shop in all of the NW. Ha! My family and I have lived in Meridian (a Boise suburb) for almost 20 years and we grew up visiting Boise often. We'd be happy to tell you all we know. Idaho as a whole is a "Small Government" state, meaning you can ride your motorcycle with your louder exhaust (and even without a helmet, if that's your jam). And then as far as big trucks, race cars and modded vehicles... living in Boise (and its surrounding Treasure Valley), would undeniably see them all on a daily basis. You might try adding in any statistics about armed robbery when the thief isn’t sure if he’s gonna find someone who shoots back something the Democrats clearly deny in all states like California, Hawaii, York, Illinois, etc., etc. Thank you very much for your thorough presentation now I see why friends wanted to move to Idaho
Hi. I am from and in California, however I have several buddies that live in Idaho. I watched this video to see if I could find any information that my buddies might not know. Overall I liked the video, however I think that there was one piece of information that should have been included regarding the homicide rates. I think that the percentage discussion is interesting, however the per capita numbers would be more informative in a comparison. I doubt that information would help the California stats, and it would be more informative in comparison to total population. Idaho seems great, but I'm apparently not smart enough to move out of Cali. I'm too short to be any good at running away from a fight! Nice video.
The only people in Idaho who want you to move here are the realtors. The rest of us wish you would just stay where you are, and vote out the demorats who destroyed your state
Also be good to know the rule/laws around privately owned establishments such as restaurants, the Zoo, Aquariums, etc. that have no guns policies. Many "2A states" have similar laws but in reality, most businesses just post a sign saying no guns, and anyone who does bring a gun is criminally trespassed. So the only places one can actually freely carry is on the sidewalk - This is my experience here in Texas(basically 100 mile radius around any major city in Texas is like this). Is Idaho like that too? If I take my kids to the zoo, do I need to leave my gun at home(not leaving it in the car)?
Great question! And one that I had to research before replying. Our local zoo, Zoo Boise does not prohibit concealed or open carry. I couldn't remember seeing any such signs and couldn't find any specific information on their website, so I called them just to confirm. And nope. They do request that people "refrain from shooting any of the animals"... which, well, fair enough, right!?! :) And then in regard to other privately owned establishments, very, very few have 'No Gun' policies. You will see a couple in maybe a couple cafes & establishments in say downtown Boise, or in the Sun Valley area, but they are really few and far between. Thanks for the comment & question!
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid That's amazing! Even places like the Zoo in Chyenne South Dakota has a prohibition of firearms. Go glad to see Idaho actually stand by the 2A right! And yes, don't shoot the animals! :) Also, thank you for taking the time to actually look into this!

I pretty much grew up in Washington (from age 12) but when I retired out of the military I found myself in Texas. Well, of course EVERYONE in Texas is packing and that is always nice. This being said when I am ready to pop smoke in Texas, Idaho is my landing ground. I'm glad to see that your gun laws there are almost like Texas and that is comforting. Pretty much every firearm and ALL my magazines Washington State doesn't allow any longer but I'll never go back to that shithole. Thank You for this video. I makes me want to pack up my crap and move to Idaho tomorrow but unfortunately my job requires me to stay here for another decade probably. So Bonners Ferry, I'll be there in 2034.
Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸 I have family in Washington and completely understand your frustration. Hope your dream of moving to Bonners Ferry happens sooner rather than later. 🙂
In Idaho, private sellers are not required to conduct universal background checks or maintain any records for the sale, however identification is recommended if you wish to maintain a record of the transaction.
The only thing I feel sorry about if y’all talk about this, but you never tell a person just because you’re in that state you can carry openly. Don’t mean that you’re gonna leave that tape and go somewhere else that does open carry to and carry because it says citizen Citizens only if you’re not a citizen of that state you cannot open care so people need to know that so they don’t get yourself in trouble and make a felony out their self and I appreciate it if you could tell people that too cause you’re doing a great job I love it
Thanks for the question! Boise has indeed become increasingly more liberal & is now referred by many as being more “purple” than red or blue. That said, the cities that surround Boise (so Meridian, Eagle, Star, Middleton, Kuna, etc) have actually grown increasingly MORE conservative over the past decade. Most initially assume the opposite has happened, but based on our last two elections the numbers are pretty clear. The majority of people relocating to Boise’s outlying towns seem to be arriving with the knowledge that they do NOT want Idaho to become like the state(s) that they fled, and (thus far) are thankfully voting as such. Thanks for the question!
If you don’t like guns and you’re thinking about moving to IDAHO? Don’t move! Idaho isn’t the state for you!

I have been open carrying daily (weather permitting) since 1996 without issue in Idaho.

They have been through a vigorous vetting and training process following their application to carry a concealed handgun"
I pray that those moving from California to other states dont try to make their new home into another California.

Agreed. Thanks for watching!
The 2nd Amendment isn't simply about GUNS.... but "arms". Cheers!
Thanks for the comment! I had absolutely no idea that was the case in NH. Definitely wouldn’t have thought that was the case, very cool to know!

Family from Texas thinking about moving here
Let us know if you have any questions or if we can help in any way: 208-598-3040.
We in California are being held hostage by our narcissistic comma governor and mindless attorney general
2A all the way!!!! Idaho stay involved to protect our rights!!!!
Right?! Why is this an issue!?! The MSM hates Idaho, and well, in a roundabout way, it’s helping to keep Idaho, Idaho.🤫
And we also agree about why Idaho’s crime rate is so low… criminals are definitely treated as such.
like Texas but LOTSA snow and summers that don't melt things besides snow ...
Castle doctrine covers the house, but what about property line?
Good question. In Idaho, our Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground laws essentially allow people to use deadly force to defend themselves in their home or on any area of their property. Basically if they/we believe they-we are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm, we are within our rights to protect ourselves.
You forgot to mention how terrible Boise is and the treasure valley with the massive crimes everyday and 6 feet of snow. It snows 6months out of the year, floods and earthquakes all year long with tornadoes
Hahahaha!
Here are a couple of additional videos that you might find helpful:

As a Washingtonian, I think Idaho is doing excellent. I wish we had the same laws. But the coasters are trying to become like CA. Everyone, notice the violent crime rate in Idaho is one of the lowest in the nation.
Thanks for the comment! My sister and mom live in WA… the issues you guys are dealing with make me STABBY! Best of luck! And thanks again for the comment.🙂
Great state I like that I want ot move to Idaho Star, Eagle , Nampa
Somehow your comment got buried, sorry about that! All of those Idaho towns are good choices! We'd love to help you learn more about them if you ever want to chat - 208-598-3040.
And then in regard to other privately owned establishments, very, very few have 'No Gun' policies.
Also, thank you for taking the time to actually look into this!
@@Zn0nimus of course, happy to help! And I love these kind of questions. Learn something new every day!
If you are worried about the gun laws in any state that you are moving to, instead of loosing sleep over it, just move to state that already has gun laws that you are comfortable with.
Thanks for the comment - and we agree. Wise words.
I’ve been to that Cabelas, even made use of their camping privileges. Nice place.
It’s a great Cabelas location! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Gun education is a needed solution. Training early is very beneficial.
Agreed!
How about addressing statute 18-3315b ? People need to know what their rights are
Read if (I’ll post it below for others). What’s your specific question about it?
legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title18/t18ch33/sect18-3315b/#:~:text=(4)%20All%20Idaho%20government%20entities,effective%20date%20of%20this%20act
Commies stay out!
PS: If you move from a Blue State to a Red State like Idaho, leave your failed democrat politics behind. You ruined your state, don't ruin ours!
Sounds like common sense gun laws!!
I wish it were like this in all states, I'm more of a warm weather kind of guy. Idaho it's up toward the north right? 😕
Idaho is in the north. It’s east of both Oregon and Washington. People tend to be surprised by just how big Idaho is!
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid thank you 😊
I wish you had mentioned private sales and gun shows. This is one of the reasons I want to leave Washington.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. Those would have been good things to include.
Don’t mean that you’re gonna leave that tape and go somewhere else that does open carry to and carry because it says citizen Citizens only if you’re not a citizen of that state you cannot open care so people need to know that so they don’t get yourself in trouble and make a felony out their self and I appreciate it if you could tell people that too cause you’re doing a great job I love it
Thanks for the comment! We’re doing our best to talk about what living in Idaho is really like. Appreciate the comment.
It's your opinion. It's Idaho's Law. Shall not Infringe.
I’m not fully understanding your comment… did you watch the video? I am all about Idaho’s gun laws.
@@Livinginboiseidaho-candid Happy to have you as an Idaho friend!
Idaho is still to strict with guns because they have not told the Fed to get out.
I want to move there
Give us a call, we’d be happy to help! 208-598-3040.
Under the constitution of the united states of America supreme law of the land every state, everywhere is legal to openly or concealed carry.
INDIANA HERE. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Indiana! Thanks for the comment!
I live in California 26 years I move to Nevada this year 2023 because of home intruder it happen almost every single day.
Sorry to hear about your experience in CA, that sounds terrifying! Glad you found Nevada!
My question is this..What about Liberal cities like Boise and the cities around them?
DOES ANYONE KILL OR COMMIT CRIMES WHAT DO YOU DO TO THEM ?
