Till this time I have a million dollar question or doubt is running in my mind that there are several responsibilities they are on Scrum Master such as to facilitate, protect dev team and make and keep them happy and on the other side need to address PO concerns as well keep in mind that organization goals and expectations, so scrum master is the key role, so my question is a scrum master supporting many but who will support and protect the Scrum Master. But this prodcast helped to me find the answer some extent.

I put items that need to be addressed after stand-up into a “parking lot’. Keeps stand-ups short and items that may need more attention gets handled.

Great video! I'm a Scrum Master who finds it hard to communicate in the team I'm currently in. I haven't build up the team, just have to deal with the set-up. The head of software development is one of the devs and the PO is a good friend of the CEO. Both are speaking directly with the CEO. So I'm not really empowered. When I try to teach something those two do not really listen 👂. Instead they contradict my words or come up with something totally off topic. Then I stop waisting time and write my message into the team chat. What advice could you give me? I'm currently building up a second team. And what I think is best for me, is kiss the other team goodbye and focus on the new team a hundred percent.

Good video but environment makes a HUGE difference. Investment and Commercial Banks (IBM as well) have zero tolerance for fun and immaturity. Keep it Serious and Keep it moving! The CSM cert means nothing. There will be a white board session and if the person conducting the interview is not a Scrum Master expect to FAIL. You read that correctly. I've been interviews where people are referencing the PMBOK which has nothing to do with Scrum or even Agile delivery!

I am not a fan of John. Based on the way he interacts with others (disengenous, passive aggressive) I would never trust his advice on project management discipline where relationship management is key. 0 stars.
